The concert was fabulous. Probably the best musical act I have ever seen since I started attending concerns in 1972. Sound was excellent. The venue was small enough to feel a real part of the concert and the attendees were fun and friendly.

Outstanding show! Great energy, spot in as usual. First time seeing the group, I'll definitely see them again. Maybe in L.A. in December.

It was ok. They sound much better on YouTube. They didn’t have all their musicians.

  • Good Friends!

One of the best concerts we’ve ever attended. Would see them again.

What an outstanding show by Leonid & Friends. One of the best if not the best show I’ve been to in my life and I’m 71 years old. It was excellent!! The musicianship was outstanding and the singers were also top notch. I know if I get another chance to go see these guys I will do it in a heartbeat!! I strongly recommend Leonid & Friends to anyone who liked Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago) music, you will really enjoy this show!

  • They give a great tribute to Chicago

by Fang on 11/8/21Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I never attended a Chicago concert but I would think this group is close to as good as the original band. Great horn section, fantastic drummer and excellent new lead guitarist. Lead vocalist are outstanding. Leonid and Friends have a refreshing energy and are great ambassadors for their country. Highly recommend.

  • The band has a big heart

The Ameristar sound system was very good... we have heard Leonid and Friends at another venue with a lesser sound system and it was telling. We had floor seats that have no sloped floor. If you were behind a tall person, the view may be been difficult; however, it wasn't an issue for me. Drinks were reasonably priced outside the entry and you could take in. A late 8:30pm start... not sure why, but should have gone at 7:30. Show didn't start until 8:45. Leonid and Friends are amazing.... you can image listening to Chicago in 1976 and hear it in 2021. Serge took the time out to have a picture with me before the concert and was pleasant. The horn section is just amazing and the new lead guitar player is extremely good. If you get a chance to see this group, take it!

  • Good time

We enjoyed everything about the concert. The people work in the concert were very nice and friendly. Leonid & Friends put on a great concert. They were fun and their music was extremely professional. They were spot on with Chicago and everyone else if they covered.

  • Started slow, but wow in the second half

by roodude on 11/8/21Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

About half the band is new from the YouTube videos many of us have seen: Trumpet, one of the lead vocalists, guitar, etc. It showed in the first half and the Chicago-purist guy and his wife who were seated next to us actually walked out. I was really glad we stuck it out ... the band came back after intermission and did a bunch of Chicago favorites along with some Blood, Sweat and Tears and EWF's September. Led by the saxophonist and an outstanding drum solo, the band found its groove and started having fun. The second half of the show was as good as it gets and the new vocalist, Danny??? did some nice work and showed he belonged. It was a good reminder that bands are all about the musicians ... they don't stay the same and need to evolve to the strengths of the players. Not sure why the opening set was so weak or why adjustments were not made since it is pretty late in the tour, but I was really glad we stuck it out!

  • 11/5/21 show

Leonid and Friends were great. The Sound system at Ameristar needs improvement. Center microphone acoustics sucked. Speakers too loud and unevenly distributed the sound. Better off allowing band to do their own acoustic system.

  • Awesome concert!

It was one of the best concerts I have ever experienced! Great musicianship and great energy coming from the stage! Leonid and friends is a "must see" if they are playing in your area! If you love the music of the group, Chicago, you will definitely love these guys and one lady, Ksenia Buzina!👍

  • Awesome evening!

This band is amazing and put on the best concert I’ve seen in a long time! The instrumental talent, especially, is off the charts. It’s obvious, the band loves performing in front of an audience - they were having such a great time!! I’ve always loved Chicago’s music, and Leonid and Friends offers everything I love from the original. Highly recommend seeing them in person ! The Ticketmaster app gave me problems tho, trying to save my tickets to my Wallet.

  • Bring Leonid & Friends back for more ...

by rswift on 11/8/21Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Leonid & Friends put on a great show at the KC Ameristar! I have been a big fan of their YouTube videos and wasn't sure if their live performance would live up to my high expectations, but they had no trouble easing any of my doubts. The horn section was spot on and highly energetic ... their drummer is the absolute best ... the new guitarist showed off his chops ... Leonid provided a great foundation ... the keyboardist completed the sound ... and the vocals; WOW! Their rendition of "After The Love Has Gone" was amazing.

  • I’ve been a big fan of Leonid and Friends

by Skeeter on 11/7/21Rating: 5 out of 5

I was excited to see Leonid and Friends and the concert was overall very good but I would have liked to hear more songs from Chicago and less of their own songs. Many bands will try out new songs but I feel they wasted a lot of time over 3 hours which normally I would love but their MC talks way too much on introductions of a company that’s only interested in selling stuff from their website and taking 10 minutes for a drum solo that was so boring I went to the bathroom and got a drink and they were still doing the drum solo. Please stop this waste of time. You could have played many songs if you tone down the corny jokes and intermission and solos which took 30-45 minutes of the concert.

  • Awesome as expected!

by Ranndee on 10/29/21MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - NorthfieldRating: 5 out of 5

This is my 4th time seeing L&F live 2019 and they always bring their best regardless of the tough show schedule and sometimes challenging venues. If you haven't seen them and love live music, check them out soon! Live or YouTube. The Venue, however. is the least desirable I've experienced in a long time. Because it's in a casino, the staff treats every guest as if they are about to do something wrong- they watch every move and it's a little creepy when all you're trying to do is go out to the bar or restroom. The sound system is terrible and it took until intermission to get the band sounding like I've heard them many times before. Some acoustic tiles would do the place some good!
