Excellent concert. Had a great time. Recommend leonid and friends to everyone.
Amazing!! Like listening to Chicago 25 years ago!!
Leonoid and Friends were incredible. They played for 2 1/2 hours and were fun, engaging and personable. I can't say enough about their music. I will definitely go see the again!
The venue is small and there's not a bad seat in the house. The band's emcee spoke passionately about the current war without preaching as some of the band's members are unavailable due to defending Ukraine. The band's performance was the best I've seen as the new members were capable, the song selection was stellar and the band seemed energized. Hoping this continues to be an annual event at the Gramercy!
I’m 75 and been to hundreds of concerts. Leonid is definitely in the top 5 best rock concerts
After a lifetime of going to rock and roll concerts, i am 70 years old, i have to say this is one of the most professional and tightest bands i have seen. The musicianship and vocal harmonies were world class, with a fantastic horn section that brings the songs of Chicago, Tower of Power and other big rock bands to life, along with 5 great voices, and a rhythm section that drives the entire band to incredible heights, it was a joy to attend. They may be a cover band, but they have a sound and personality of their own. The interaction between all the band members was incredible witness, and their energy and the love of the music create a connection with the audience that you will not experience in an arena setting. The intimacy of the Gramercy Theater was the perfect venue for the evening. It felt as if we were all just hanging out together and having a good time, because we were. I can't wait for them to return in the future.
The band was more than we had expected! We knew they sounded great (had listened to much of their stuff online) but we had no idea how entertaining they would be live. Totally interactive with the crowd, they seem to be having so much fun on stage amoungest themselves too. Would recommend to anyone!
From beginning to end, this was a great concert. I have been a Chicago fan for about 50 years, and was just blown away by the accuracy and excellence of this wonderful group of musicians. Beyond their obvious talent, I especially appreciated that they performed with such joy. It was evident that they were happy to be with us, and all I can say is that the feeling is mutual. It was also very cool to see them in a small club environment. Can't wait till they come back!
The band was great. Seats were great. Food service was slow and we never got our dessert. They were packed and I'm sure not prepared in the kitchen for the full house. I can't go five stars due to the poor food service.
High Bang for the Buck factor with this group. So full of energy and spirit. Venue was small and the sounds the band generated were way Big.
The band was far more entertaining than expected and exceeded all expectations. The musicianship was great, vocals adequate, and the female lead singer was exceedingly beautiful. The Canyon/Agoura Hills was another story. We had paid table seating which require we buy one their predefined dinner combos (salad, entree, dessert). No issues with that. The problem is their system was a mess, causing slow lines into the venue on a cool night. Once inside, many were not served until after the band's intermission. We initially only received an entree. When we tracked a server down, we finally received our salad, but never received our dessert. The food was tasty though. The other issue was people standing in General Admission creeped their way into the paid area blocking views.
This group is tight, has a good sound mix, plays the songs accurately, and gives a good show You can tell they love and respect what they do. Great mix of horn inflected songs, mostly Chicago but also including some Earth Wind and Fire plus Blood Sweat and Tears. They stay away from "If You Leave Me Now" and "Color My World" which is a great decision in my opinion. Those songs have no brass so (while popular on the radio) are not real Chicago songs, just pop. Their version of "25 or 6 to 4" like all the rest is spot on and high energy like all their show and is used to end the set, which is a great way to end -- on a high note and still pumped up to the maximum.
The band was good as Tribute bands go. There were a couple singers who were new (from the YouTube videos I had seen) and they were not as good. Some harmonies in the first set were off. The 2nd set was fun. The venue is nice but the logistics and service were really bad. Had to wait in line over 45 minutes to get in. Dinner was required which came at the end of the first set. It was cold and we had to eat it in the dark. Dessert never came.
I have seen many, many live concerts, but these people blow them all away! Their talents. personalities and enthusiasm just shines through like nothing I have seen before! 11 extremely talented people just captivate and thrill the crowd, each performer getting the chance to display their skills. And to top it off, they are Russians performing popular American music! Do yourself a favor and do not miss their show when it comes to your area. Heck - if you have to, travel to see them!!
The music was amazing! I will definitely see them again!
The band as usual was incredible, but the venue was horrible. I bought a ticket for a table up front, and was seated a the last table in the back. I have bad knees and needed disabled seating, and was told this table that had bar stools was all the had left. My family had to lift me onto the chair. Meanwhile two tables in front of me sat empty. Venue does not meet ADA requirements. The Manager did nothing to help. I felt the venue did a bait and switch with my table.
Amazingly talented group of musicians! Played for almost three hours.
I had recently heard of this group from a friend and as a long time Chicago fan, decided to check out some of their videos on line. I was beyond impressed at their musical ability and the way that they nailed the Chicago vibe. I was happy to find out that they had a concert coming up within a week at the Saban Theater in So. Cal. I attended the show on 12/4/21 and was glad that I did. The group was a Great collection of musicians. Their performance was tight and energetic. The sound at the venue was very good. They featured most of the band members during the show (including the sax player, the keyboardist and the drummer). The vocals were Great. I will definitely go to see them again when they are back in this area.
Amazing experience. And not just because we grew up w Chicago. Great entertainment and talent and fantastic energy. Even some surprise covers. Couldn’t recommend Leonid and Friends more and can’t wait to see them again.
Just a great evening with an extremely talented group of musicians!! Had been hearing from friends that I needed to see this group. They did not disappoint me!! Every member of the group had their own style and showmanship. Really, highly recommend seeing them in your area!!
