Leonid & Friends expertly play songs from other artists that are second to none. This was the second time I have seen them and am looking forward to my third. A must see if you like bands with a horn section.
Long time fan and at least our 29h show. The band is always high energy, fun, and incredibly talented. They mix up the set lists drawing from a strong library of Chicago, EWF, Tower of Power, Steely Dan and more. Highly recommend and love the Penn’s Peak venue.
Leonid & Friends is the ultimate Chicago experience! They are amazing musicians, all from Russia who bring the stage to life when they perform. We saw them this past weekend and they were full of energy and fabulous. Highly recommend anyone who loves Chicago to see them!
much better on YouTube.not all the members on YouTube were there so they sounded different.penns peak the place they played also played a part in not giving a higher rating.the seats were just fold out chairs so my butt was sour for the second half of the show
This event was a Christmas present for my husband who is a great appreciator of Leonid and Friends musical skill. They were very entertaining and he enjoyed the show very much. The only shortcoming was that the volume was too loud and it made it very difficult to hear the quality of the voices and the nuances of the instrumentation. Those are two of the real skills that Leonid and Friends demonstrate.

Everyone in the band was on tonight. All were featured and excelled. Ksenia looked fabulous in her red top, as always. The crowd was engaged and the meet and greet afterwards was an experience.
Their sound mix was terrible and the band was not very tight. Pretty disappointing given the quality of their albums and YouTube videos. It’s not the venue. Have heard great mixes at The Birchmere.
We were told by the friends who invited us to this show that it would be a memorable experience and they weren't wrong. Not only is this group wonderful at their craft (pitch and harmony perfect, exquisite instrumentation), they exude energy and ooze joy in performing for the audience. Not a bad looking ensemble either! We will definitely seek them out again.
This band is absolutely incredible. Entertaining, amazing sound. 15 stars out of 10. Bring them back as soon as humanly possible, please.

I was both blown away by the performance. This is a BAND - you can tell they've got lots of time playing together, and they know the music (Chicago, Carpenters, Earth Wind and Fire, Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Spencer Davis, others) so well that they can improvise and interact while staying true to the music. The 11-person lineup (drums/bass/guitar/keys/sax/bone/trumpet and FOUR vocalists) means that the stuff that took overdubs in the studio comes off live. It's obvious that they're having a great time too, and the energy is infectious. I've seen lots of bands, and these guys are among the best. It's like going to a Zappa (Frank OR Dweezil) concert - the live show is BETTER than the records!
I thought the band was very good in their performance of old classics. I would like to see them expand beyond just Chicago as there’s many other horn bands out there. I thought most of the singing was spot on and the girl was a little pitchy that night. Overall, I would go see them again and thank them for bringing this music back into focus.

What a great concert! Excellent musicians and singers professionally choreographed. Their covers of Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, Karen Carpenter and others is as good as, if not better than the original. Find where they are playing near you and buy a ticket.
Great musicians, excellent performers, incredible voices. Worth watching! I did it for the second time!
We had a great time at the event. The music has fantastic. It was obvious that the band enjoyed entertaining the crowd. Love to see Leonid and Friends again in Charleston.
Second time seeing this band and they have always exceeded my expectations. Love that they expanded their repertoire to include additional songs from other bands/singers. Love the horn section, vocals and the other musicians. They are “spot on”. A must see!
