One word… “Hilarious” I truly laughed all night long, and I love that they kept classic elements in the musical from the movie! Definitely worth seeing again and again!
I enjoyed it but wouldn’t pay to see it again. It started over 10 minutes late and they took almost too many liberties when turning it into a musical, like there was a whole song about Ireland which I felt was unnecessary.
Like the title says….it was ok but it needed a live orchestra. It’s was kinda flat. Good singers, nice choreography…lame tracks.
really enjoyed the show .. great singing and dancing .. recommend
My 15 yo daughter and I went together to see the show and we had a great time!we loved the songs, dances, humor, and energy! We had a great time!
My friend and I have been DYING to see this musical and it did not disappoint. The cast had amazing energy and they clearly loved being on stage. The audience fed off their energy, which made the show even better. Thank you for a magical experience!
I paid $75 to see a professionally staged musical. I don't believe i have ever seen a more amateur performance. From the cheaply made and ill fitting costumes to complete lack of harmony in group numbers. There were 1 or 2 songs that were enjoyable and well performed. The rest was embarrassing to watch.
The first act has way to much high pitch singing that is difficult to understand.
Thoroughly entertaining show that was a fun take on the movie original.
Funny good music and good story! Wish there were more touring options . I love musicals.
The show was AMAZING!! It never disappoints. I can't wait to see it again.
I honestly think this was the best cast, as a whole, that I have ever had the pleasure to see perform!! I hate to say, a lot of time there is a voice that I don’t care for or think that is weaker. NOT IN THIS CAST!! So much fun! Thank yiu!!
I was so looking forward to seeing Legally Blonde. I have seen it twice before. Once put on by a local high school and the other being a Broadway production. Both of the productions were energetic & engaging. I would say the production I saw Tuesday evening was average at best. Voices were weak, costumes were ill fitting and the set designs were lacking.
This show was awesome, and had all the characteristics to be amazing but it was just lacking a few pieces. First the mic and technical side of things needs more preparation and rehearsal. I’ve never experienced a broadway style show stopping in the middle of an act before and hopefully it should not have to happen again. Secondly the costuming needs more help, there were seams not in line, some characters costumes also just didn’t match the timeframe. The shows script has been updated from the movie for more modern audiences why aren’t the costumes the actors wear doing the same? Now the screens, they are great but you still need physical set pieces if your screen real estate doesn’t fill the entire stage. It added but also needed some help. Overall I enjoyed the show and thought the actors fit their roles swell; it was built like a tour but had the quality of a really good community theatre in some ways.
The new seating was horrible and we were burning up. Also disappointed in the production/quality of the show.
This musical was everything. So much fun, high energy, and great vocals. They were only in town for one night, but I wish I could see the show again! So much more exciting than listening to the soundtrack on repeat.
The entire cast blew us away! Elle was positive, and I couldn't give her more snaps. Paulette gad us laughing hysterically. The rest of the show and songs were top-notch, a must-see play from start to finish.
Great cast. Love all the little updated details to the show. The only thing that was unfortunate is that they used a stuffed animal for Rufus, Paulette's dog instead of a real dog. Great orchestra. Nice venue.
I have seen Legally Blonde the musical several times in community theater and watched the broadway version on Youtube numerous times. It's my favorite musical and I know all the words to all the songs. Was very excited for this tour but ultimately very disappointed in this performance. It's probably the worst performance of Legally Blonde I've ever seen except for one time when I attended a Legally Blonde Junior presentation. I am not one to typically judge singing as I can't sing and most of the time if someone can sing at all-I think they are pretty good. Some of the performers could not sing well and at some points-seemed to be speaking the words to the song rather than singing them. The acting was incredibly overexaggerated at several points (this seemed unnecessary). Did individuals audition for these parts? I saw more things added and taken away in this production than I have ever see before in any other production (I understand there is some leeway within the production to do this). The set certainly left a lot to be desired as the giant video screens were mostly utilized as the set. There were some points in the show where I thought the video screens were a good addition. Very disappointing as this was the most money I've spent on a Legally Blonde show and the worst I've seen. Unfortunately, the theater was also disappointing as they did not hold audience members when the show began. So many people came in late and at one point my whole view was blocked by those entering late. No warning before the show began (except the 15 minute to show time warning). People were constantly in and out of their seats. I couldn't believe a performing arts center would not regulate this to some degree-have never encountered it at this level before.
