As an eight-time Grammy Award nominee, Ledisi has captured attention around the world, thanks to her expressive jazz-influenced voice and well-produced albums that boldly tackle personal subject matter. When on tour, Ledisi often collaborates with a large backup band, which creates a full, multi-layered sound that's a treat for the ears of every ticket holder in attendance. Her sixth studio album, Pieces of Me, was released in 2011, and her next effort, The Truth, is set to hit the shelves in early 2014. The album's first single, "I Blame You," is already available to stream via the Internet for free, and a series of concert dates seems likely to follow the album's release.
Involved in music her whole life, Ledisi has appeared on soundtracks and commercials and performed at the White House at the request of President Obama and the First Lady. The year 2007 marked the release of Ledisi's third studio album, Lost and Found, and it was noted for earning her two Grammy nominations, including a nod for Best New Artist. In 2011, she toured around North America in support of Pieces of Me and played to sold-out crowds in more than 20 cities. The years 2012 and 2013 also saw Ledisi being recognized by her peers by receiving additional Grammy nominations. In addition to nurturing her music career, Ledisi has written a biographical book in partnership with ESSENCE magazine and appeared in two films. Through those efforts, she's proven that she has what it takes to excel, whether by showcasing her skills in music or by courageously experimenting with other creative outlets.
I am a huge Ledisi fan & was not let down. She sang a great selection of songs. Her interaction with the audience was amazing. Meeting her after the show was phenomenal. I'm not a huge Eric Benet fan but I was thoroughly entertained by him as well. He has a great voice & presence.
Eric Benet was very professional and entertaining. Unfortunately I can't say the same about "Ledisi". I went to the show to get to know Ledisi,but our "date" started out by her starting 45 minutes late, her fans didn't seem to mind, I guess they are use to her doing this. Eric Benet started 10 or 15 minutes late, but this is usually forgiven if you are the first act. Also I noticed that she didn't have many band members, but she did have a lot of electronic gadgetry. I peronally like a live band. I noticed some of her "props" that she used,had been used earlier by others, such as the "big women", back up singers. I had seen this with Jill Scott. Bringing men on stage from the audience, ala Tony Braxton. She has a beautiful voice, and I feel with time and better stage presence and material, I'm sure I will become a fan also. PS: word of advise. NEVER!, follow Eric Benet!
Amazing show... Eric benet is always great but Ledisi was wonderful , her band and background singers left me with goosebumps at times.. don't miss this show!
One of the best concerts I've seen so far this year. Eric Benet was wonderful Ledisi phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed the bands, the voices, even the venue. Wonderful!
It was a good show, I expected more from Eric, we saw him in Atlantic City and he did his thing. I have to remember he was by himself and was not opening for anyone so that was probably the difference. After a delay in starting because of technical difficulties Ledisi put on a very energetic show (as usual). She stated that this was the first night of the tour, so hopefully they will work the kinks out.
Ledisi was great!!! She was energenic, fun, and sounded wonderful.
Eric Benet openned the show. His voice and stage performance is incredible. Plenty of eye candy also. Sang all his old hits and those from recent years. The honesty of his dialogue made the sentiment expressed in his songs even more revealing. Wished he had more time. Unfortunately he did not get to perform his new hit Henrrieta Jones - no pretty, pretty girls sung about that night. Ledisi's voice resonated in the room. I love her music and the radio popular songs. But what I realize is that her talent/voice has not yet been challenged by most of the songs on the radio. I hope her writers stretch themselves more. With out a doubt Ledisi is what is called the "real deal."
Ledisi is 100% pure vocally and lyrically! She is dynamic and entertaining! I LOVED this show! And, while I was indifferent to Eric Benet, I'm now a believer! LOL! He was FANTASTIC!!!!
Eric Benet was totally awesome but Ledisi was over the top. Fantastic show
The show was incredible. Our seats were great. The only gripe was that it was extremely hot in the place.
Excellent time. Ledisi is a great performer and she gives her all in every show that I have seen her. Can't wait till she comes back to Philly!!!!

Just when I thought Eric Benet has stole the show ... Out came Ledisi with all that energy, vocal dexterity and show(woman)ship!! She belted out incredible octaves effortlessly! Had the crowd rolling when she stood in for Jaheim on her own duet - Stay Together. Ledisi has probably increased her fan base with that show, I'm a believer and can't wait to see her again!!
I really enjoyed her show. I was so happy to b able to atend. She is my favorite performer and to actually be able to c and her peform, I still today and the concert has been over a while. I will go to her show again when she comes back to Baltimore. I saw Ledisi perform when her and kem where together. I must say I was disappointed because she did not get to perform like i would have enjoyed to. I undersatnd Kem i guess was the headliner but so is she in her own right. Cant wait for her to come back this year
Ledisi was AMAZING! She had great energy and was really engaged with her audience. We were kept entertained and on our toes. She was humble and confident. This was a great concert!
Enjoyed the show, thought it could have been longer and she could have made an opportunity to meet some of the fans but I understand she had a very gruesome touring schedule. Still love and support her, she an awesome performer.
Her opening act was amazing, Avery Sunshine. Her mic didn't work and she sang a song anyway while waiting for a new mic. Ledisi was cool. I hadn't purchased her new album so I didn't know any of those songs, but she still was awesome.
I was in Baltimore for the Thanksgiving Holiday and attended with my little sister. I drove four hours for the last day of her Pieces of Me Tour in the States. Suffice it to say that the pre-Thanksgiving show was on point! Ledisi has this ecclectic, soulful flare that is distinctly inspirational as well. We left the show feeling empowered, aroused to life life to its fullest extent, and of course, to be mindful of the fact that we are here for Divine purpose and fulfillment. I love Ledisi's music and energy. I am elated that the world finally gets to enjoy her gifts to this world. Ledisi is a true singer/musician for all seasons!
Ledisi was OUTSTANDING!! This is the 2nd time I have seen her in concert, but this 1 was the best. I'm glad she finally decided to do a show where she was the headliner. OUTSTANDING, OUTSTANDING, OUTSTANDING!! I love Ledisi's music and the concert just made my holiday wknd!!
Ledisi put on an outstanding performance, she is a real entertainer. Some people just sing, but this amazing woman performed and I enjoyed it from begining to end. Avery Sunshine was the perfect fit as Ledisi's opening act. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING. Go LEDISI!
