About

As an eight-time Grammy Award nominee, Ledisi has captured attention around the world, thanks to her expressive jazz-influenced voice and well-produced albums that boldly tackle personal subject matter. When on tour, Ledisi often collaborates with a large backup band, which creates a full, multi-layered sound that's a treat for the ears of every ticket holder in attendance. Her sixth studio album, Pieces of Me, was released in 2011, and her next effort, The Truth, is set to hit the shelves in early 2014. The album's first single, "I Blame You," is already available to stream via the Internet for free, and a series of concert dates seems likely to follow the album's release.

Involved in music her whole life, Ledisi has appeared on soundtracks and commercials and performed at the White House at the request of President Obama and the First Lady. The year 2007 marked the release of Ledisi's third studio album, Lost and Found, and it was noted for earning her two Grammy nominations, including a nod for Best New Artist. In 2011, she toured around North America in support of Pieces of Me and played to sold-out crowds in more than 20 cities. The years 2012 and 2013 also saw Ledisi being recognized by her peers by receiving additional Grammy nominations. In addition to nurturing her music career, Ledisi has written a biographical book in partnership with ESSENCE magazine and appeared in two films. Through those efforts, she's proven that she has what it takes to excel, whether by showcasing her skills in music or by courageously experimenting with other creative outlets.

    You should offer more stars...

This was truly an amazing event. Two awesome performers that can hit each note live as clearly as in the studio (and funk it up a bit, too). A star opener and stunning headliner in a venue with great acoustics...rates as one of my best concert experiences. Do not miss this show if it comes your way!!!

Ledisi: Ditch Eric & Add more Jazz!

    by chc2012 on 6/27/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

She is an amazing singer w/a wonderful voice and great energy. Want to see her perform a wider range of her music, not just the R&B radio hits. Her early stuff is amazing & what drew me to her. Her band was awesome! Also, too many costume changes -- hold that for A.C. or Vegas. Eric B needs new material, but even with new material I would never go see him again. Too much fake pitching to the women. His back up singer was very weak. Also, I dislike performers walking on stage with sunglasses --- too phony!

Both Ledis and Eric "NO WORDS AWESOME SHOW!"

    by DANNI1Fan on 6/27/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I would pay to go see them both again TODAY if I could. Only thing missing was them both coming back out and singing their song together "Good Life". I was up singing and dancing along the whole concert on the FRONT ROW (thanks to a young lady whom was scared to sit in her seat) THANK YOU !

by Anonymous on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Although I was never a fan of Eric Benet, I really enjoyed his performance. Ledisi gave an outstanding performance. Both artist gave real voice shows with great bands. With all the auto tuning going on, these were true performers and they did it from their hearts and soul.

by Trayrab on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Eric Benet and Ledisi both did their thing! Concert venue was very nice. Seats were awesome. Ticket prices were very good for the performances we received. Both singers gave us what we paid for! Both sounded as good as their CDs. I would go and see both of them again for sure.

    Title not important to me

by earlclean on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

It was an outstanding show I especially liked Eric Benet who sang his heart out on every song to a seemingly unappreciated audience. This was the second time I saw Ledisi at the Keswick, I liked her better as an opening act rather than a headliner.

    Ledisi & Eric Benet

    by MejNupe2 on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Show started late, 7:45 pm but Eric Benet was really good, his set should've been longer (approx 45 min), possibly should've been the headliner. Intermission was supposed to be 15 mins but was more like 30 mins & then once Ledisi was supposed to come on, her video montage(which didn't add anything) before she even sang her 1st song had a glitch which then required another 15 minutes to correct. So by the time she actually came on it was 9:15 or so. As a result my wife & I could only stay 15 more mins due to her not feeling well, which alowed us to see 3 songs. But in reality had intermission been 15 mins & the unneeded video glitch not happened we probablly would've seen most of her entire set. So from that standpoint I was disappointed.

    Ledisi is a Powerhouse Singer!

by Chicamusical on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I thoroughly enjoyed Ledisi's show. She covered songs from all her albums. Not only was her voice flawless, her background singers had it going in. I enjoyed her tidbits of wisdom she gave thru her words and music: always love who you see in the mirror and be grateful for every day you have. I would definitely see her again!

    Ledisi was wonderful!

by Luvlylesha on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I am a huge Ledisi fan & was not let down. She sang a great selection of songs. Her interaction with the audience was amazing. Meeting her after the show was phenomenal. I'm not a huge Eric Benet fan but I was thoroughly entertained by him as well. He has a great voice & presence.

    Eric Benet was "awesome"!

by Blizzwms on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Eric Benet was very professional and entertaining. Unfortunately I can't say the same about "Ledisi". I went to the show to get to know Ledisi, but our "date" started out by her starting 45 minutes late, her fans didn't seem to mind, I guess they are use to her doing this. Eric Benet started 10 or 15 minutes late, but this is usually forgiven if you are the first act. Also I noticed that she didn't have many band members, but she did have a lot of electronic gadgetry. I peronally like a live band. I noticed some of her "props" that she used, had been used earlier by others, such as the "big women", back up singers. I had seen this with Jill Scott. Bringing men on stage from the audience, ala Tony Braxton. She has a beautiful voice, and I feel with time and better stage presence and material, I'm sure I will become a fan also. PS: word of advise. NEVER!, follow Eric Benet!

    First Night

    by Lew3 on 6/26/12Keswick Theatre - Glenside

It was a good show, I expected more from Eric, we saw him in Atlantic City and he did his thing. I have to remember he was by himself and was not opening for anyone so that was probably the difference. After a delay in starting because of technical difficulties Ledisi put on a very energetic show (as usual). She stated that this was the first night of the tour, so hopefully they will work the kinks out.
