It was so fun! Beautiful costumes and harmonies, positive message and great dancing moves. It was a show I will remember! Such amazing talent!
Amazing to see this group in person after a lifetime of listening to Graceland/LBM. The group is captivating, and the energy of the show was incredible. Everyone in attendance was rapt with attention to this beautiful, moving, joy-filled performance. I was happy to be part of Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s mission to spread peace around the world through music.
I’ve been enjoying their music since childhood. It was such a joy and a pleasure to see them live in person the performance was moving.
They were excellent. Talented, inspiring, and entertaining.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening at the Rialto Theater. LSBM was exceptionally energy charged with their tremendous Zulu songs. We appreciated being educated in English the meaning or inspiration for the songs. Would definitely see them again. The Rialto was nice and charming as always. Don't know why but admission to the theatre was an extremely long process which is different than usual.
Spiritual and stellar performance! It was moving and beautiful ♥️
I absolutely love Ladysmith Black Mambazo and they did not disappoint!! What beautiful harmony and I love their African attire!
Wonderful, exuberant heart-warming performance. Changing the world, making it a better place with music.
Most incredible show! I laughed, cried, sang and loved every minute! God Bless all these amazing singers.
9 humble, talented, enthusiastic vocalists singing acapella and creatively moving on stage to their signature sound captivated the audience. Bravo!!
We have enjoyed this group’s music for many years but the Rialto Theater venue was very uncomfortable! Metal folding chairs were placed with no reasonable spacing between them, leaving no room for even the slightest body movement or avoiding “skin to skin” contact on either side of each seat. My husband and I had to keep our arms folded in front of us for the entire performance and chose to leave at intermission!
It was wonderful hearing them in person for the first time. The harmonies are so beautiful and the way they can change rhythms is magical to me. The links to the family and to South African history are a way to remind us of many things including the role music plays in social consciousness.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo brought us on a journey of the spirit of resilience, kindness, peace, strength, respect and love. Their music was inspiring and fun, and left us feeling better than when we entered the Rialto. It was joyfully healing. It inspired hope in humanity again.
Learned about the group through Paul Simon and wanted to experience them in person. They were amazing and I couldn't sit still in my seat! Their sound was incredible and their costumes and dancing were great. Please bring them back!
I have loved LBM since I first heard Paul Simon's Graceland album. It has been a dream bucket list to see them live, so I was so emotional I actually cried when they sang the first song. The venue was comfortable and easily accessed, with great parking. I do suggest that if the merch table is going to be cash only, that this fact be shown on the Facebook posts or tickets. I wanted to buy some shirts, but had no cash on me, so I was very disappointed. They do not sell merch on their website, I found out.
The show was really fun and interactive. The only issue was the popcorn at the venue was all the little pieces and crumbs, rather than full kernels, but that's a tiny flaw in a fun show at a nice venue.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s performance at Chandler Center for the Arts was wonderful. Vocally amazing, visually delightful and emotionally stirring. I saw them in the early nineties and knew I couldn’t miss the chance to see them again. A cultural and musical feast.
A wonderful memorable evening with a talented A Capella group from South Africa. One leaves feeling grateful that there are men like this group touring the world promoting peace and harmony with their beautiful voices. (The theatre should have been sold out!)
We took our 6 year old grandson to see Ladysmith when he was 4 and he had wanted to see them again because he loved them. He would frequently talk about seeing the group again. This concert was the gift that brought the wish to life and he loved it! (Our granddaughter did too!!!)
It was so refreshing to experience a group from another country and ethnicity at the top of their craft. LBM was above all excellent in the Zulu style of harmonious singing. Add to that their engaging stage presence and ability to connect to the audience and one has experienced a truly unique and memorable evening!
