LA Galaxy History
The LA Galaxy have been playing since Major League Soccer launched in 1996. After topping the Western Conference in the league’s inaugural season, the Galaxy led the conference twice more before they clinched their first MLS Cup in 2002 against the New England Revolution. History would repeat itself in 2005, when they emerged victorious over the Revolution for their second MLS Cup.
From 2007 to 2012, British football legend David Beckham joined the Galaxy, and in short order, pushed the club to two MLS Cup victories, in 2011 and 2012. Even after Beckham's departure, the Galaxy continued to shine. After winning the Cup over the Revolution again in 2014, the Galaxy became the first team in the league to nab the championship five times. The Galaxy furthered their league championship record with a sixth MLS Cup win in 2024. Overall, the LA Galaxy have earned four Supporters’ Shields, two U.S. Open Cup titles and the 2000 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Among the Galaxy’s alumni are three MLS MVP winners: Carlos Ruiz (2002), Landon Donovan (2009) and Robbie Keane (2014). In 2015, the award was renamed the Landon Donovan MVP Award to honor the decorated All-Star midfielder’s career. Donovan also earned the Golden Boot as the league’s leading scorer in 2008.
In 2023, the Galaxy helped set the MLS single match attendance record at 82,110 in an annual "El Tráfico" rivalry match against Los Angeles FC at the Rose Bowl on July 4.

My first ever soccer game and it was awesome! Great crowd, clean cool stadium but the refreshments were too expensive. Otherwise it was really easy to find our seats and reasonably priced for the event. I will definitely do this again.
Beckham showed control, good first touches with anticipation for his team to bend balls for 3 assisted goals. The encouragement from the crowd was brilliant and a thoroughly entertaining game ensued. Pity the referees don't allow games to play on instead of stopping for too many yellow cards.
Such an amazing time. Soccer is so underrated and under watched! A guaranteed good time. I'd go to every game if I could.
The game was awesome. there is not a bad seat at the home depot center. The LA Galaxy puts out a good product. It is not stop excitment
This game was my first time to enjoy at stadium I just wanted to see David Beckham's brilliant kick He participated in all three goals from this game that I could realize the reason why he is still historical soccer player throughout the world. It was really good experience and I hope more many Americans enjoy soccer game
What a great game! The seats were awesome, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Can't wait to go again.
Nice wide stadium, good atmosphere, ticket sales thru internet from Europe worked excellent. The audience does not seem to know all the rules, example, you do not start walking to the toilet when Beckham is going to take a free kick, you are blocking everybodies view. Last thing, I think many Europeans come for a 1 in livetime Usa soccer experience mainly because of Beckham. Make sure you have his yersey no 23 in stock all over the place in all sizes. This was not the case and we were not able to buy one Good luck
If you've never been to a Galaxy game, go to one. It is one of the best ways to spend an evening.
Great! We loved being so close to the field for corner kicks! We also loved open seating - this is great for our family!
I always enjoy the atmosphere at the Home Depot Center and the energy of the games. It's great to see how far American soccer has come and root on the local team. Go Galaxy!!
game was good but the seat weren all that great!!!
Great time, great players and great game. Great to see the best MLS team versus a Champions League and FA cup team and hold their own.
I had a great time at this event. I love good soccer and this was one of the funner ones. I love that we are able to see one of the great teams from Englad.
Went into penalty shootout and the man city keeper scored the winning goal off the post!
Organisation of parking was terrible. Alot of people standing around doing nothing while cars lined up to try and get into parking lots.
Always good to see the yougsters get some time, but it also make the game a litttle boring at times. Too many overhead balls, bad passes etc.
I am a fan of the English Premier League and I enjoyed watching Manchester City play. Although I am an Arsenal fan (and sported my jersey), I felt that it was an excellent English experience in Southern California. You can't beat it!
I bought these tickets for a father's day gift and needless to say my dad was overjoyed. He got to see Beckham finally play for the Galaxy and the game went into PKs. Not to mention, they had great seats that were shaded the entire game.
Perfect organization and great atmosphere, would def go again
