La Cage Aux Folles Tickets

I've seen "La Cage aux Folles" in its movie form but never as a live theater production so I didn't know what to expect. I attended this performance with my two children (15 years old) and two visitors from Sweden and realized that they had no understanding of the play during the first half. I must admit, had I not seen the movie I also would have had difficulty following the plot. The second half was easier to follow since it was more of a 'play' rather than a 'musical' so the scenes were not broken up as much by the singing. George Hamilton was a wonderful 'Georges' as was Christopher Sieber as 'Albin.' For my childrens' first experience with 'drag queens,' it was a winner!

We enjoyed every minute. We plan on seeing it again!

I enjoyed every second of this show, I would see it over and over. I was at the last presentation in which the understudy played George Hamiltons' role and I doubt George himself could've done a better job, being the diva he thinks he is. I recommend this show to everyone, a must see! Extremely funny!

Christopher Sieber was amazing. I could listen to his voice all day long. He was hilarious! George Hamilton still looks very handsome. Although his singing was not up to par as the others, it didn't seem to matter. The whole show was very entertaining and I highly recommend seeing it when it comes to your town.

This was a laugh a minute show. The laughs started even before the official start of the event.

GEORGE HAMILTON WAS GREAT IN HIS PERFORMACE AND I TRULY ENJOYED THE WHOLE SHOW. IT IS SO AMAZING THAT THOSE MEN CAN WALK IN HIGH HEEL SHOES LIKE THAT. I WILL PLAN ON SEEING IT AGAIN WHEN IT COMES THROUGH TOWN AGAIN. JUST LOVED IT.

La Cage yanks at the heart and makes you laugh. You'll leave smiling and humming the songs for days. And the ladies are AMAZING!

Great performance, very funny. A little different than the movie

The show itself was like a bad high school play. None of us could hear what they were saying . They had there microphones on I think that is how bad the sound was. George Hamilton was not there and the man that replaced him did his best I guess. Like I said we could not here him. Even the strangers next to us were saying what are they saying so I know they could not hear either, our playbills did not have an insert in it to even let is know the main star was not going to be there. bad seats..dirty seats..sticky floor. could not hear what they were saying ........ our money back would be appreciated.

The whole cast was great but my favorite was albin ! That actor proved to be that character! You felt his triumph! The cagelles were so talented and mesmerizing! I was let down that George hamiliton wasnt there for Georges's part though! It's a love story for today that's for sure!

Short and sweet...it was awesome! Enjoyed the show and would definitely see it again.

After my neighbor and friend that accompanied me taught me the proper pronouncation of the Musical I was all set to take my seat and enjoy the performance. I was disappointed that George Hamilton was not featured, but believe me when I say that his replacement did an admirable job. It was full of fun and laughter and wonderful vocal presentations. Very glad that I was able to attend, had a great evening at the Bob Carr.

Show was great. Pre-show fabulous. Very upset that George did not play on Sunday Evening. I have seen the show several times in NY and the only reason I bought tickets was to see George Hamilton. No announcement was made either. Very disappointed.

Enjoyed the show greatly and the seats were amazing. George Hamilton looks marvelous. The lead was fantastic. George's voice did not project and he can't dance or sing.

My only disappointment was that George Hamilton did not play Georges. I drove many hours to see his performance and was extremely disappointed. The stand-in was not believable in the part.

It was just a wonderful show. The acting, singing and music was phenomenal! It had a great combination of spirit and humor. I would definately recommend friends to go enjoy this show whenever they get a chance to see it.

Show was good. Sound was awful. Good thing I had front row seats so I could hear them. Disappointed George Hamilton was a no show.

The show was very disappointing because the advertised star, George Hamilton, did not show up for the matinee performance. The stand-in was adequate, but did not add anything to the show.

Not age appropriate. Very slow storyline. George Hamilton not there. Left at intermission with a nunber of other patrons. If we could get a refund we would ask for one.

It was wonderful, had a great time. Sorry George Hamilton was unable to be there, but Dale Hensley did a fantastic job.
