About

This is one musical that has it all: a knockout Jerry Herman score that's filled with such hits as "I Am What I Am," "With You On My Arm," and "The Best of Times;" a hilarious book by none other than Harvey Fierstein; a gorgeous, glamorous company of tap-dancing Cagelles; and inspired direction by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks.

A fierce and funny dazzler from start to finish, La Cage is set in an elegant nightclub where surprises are lurking at every turn. And, when a family's future in-laws come for a visit, the truth comes out in the wildest of ways.

La Cage Aux Folles was okay

The acting was good, what I heard of it. The band was way to loud. It seemed at times that the people on stage were having to talk very loud to be heard and the actors who were not talking loud were not heard. I missed a lot of dialogue. I was a little unimpressed with the costumes, but if you do not have a budget, you do not have a budget. Enough said. To me, the whole point of making the guy up in drag at the end is to fool everyone, so made up the way he was seemed to defeat the purpose.

    Great actors

Small intimate theater and great show and a wonderful cast. I was amazed at how great this production was even though one of the main characters had a bad arm and it was in a sling for a lot of the show (but hey it was covered in rhinestones). I was saddened by the lack of people in the audiance but the actors gave a great show even though I am sure they were disappointed in the audiance size. We need local theater. Please go to this show. The tickets are inexpensive and you get great seats and you will be treated to a wonderful night of great live theater.

    Great fun

What a great fun evening! We loved how the characters interacted and how much enthusiasm and envery all the dancers portrayed. We had a great time.We were at the play three weeks earlier when the lead fell and broke his elbow. I loved how they adapted his disability to the play. All in all it was a great time.

    Ah-mazing!

The Boho production of La Cage was top notch. Every performer created a believable character that you cared about. The singing voices of the lead performers were on a par with any musical theatre performances I have seen, I liked the show so much, I returned a second time with friends who had not seen it,
