KIDZ BOP Kids on Tour

There is no stopping the 21st century's most massive musical empire: KIDZ BOP. Since first being introduced in 2001, the self-proclaimed "No. 1 music brand for kids" has transformed pop music's greatest hits — even the most explicit of chart-toppers — into kid-friendly versions. It's proven to be a huge success, with multiple albums reaching No. 1 on the U.S. Kids charts nearly every year. Naturally, the KIDZ BOP franchise eventually grew beyond just recording albums to becoming a live performance force to be reckoned with.

After a nationwide talent search, the inaugural KIDZ BOP tour kicked off in 2007 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and hit up venues across the U.S. for more than six months. But it wasn't until seven years later that the brand took touring to a whole new level.

In 2014, the Dream Big, Sing Loud tour landed in more than 40 cities around the nation with the cast singing current hits by artists like Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, and Katy Perry. This led to similar new tours each year, including 2015's Make Some Noise tour, 2016's Life of the Party tour, and 2017's Best Time Ever tour.

Also in 2017, KIDZ BOP expanded beyond the U.S., forming a cast of British KIDZ BOP Kids exclusively for the U.K. audience. But they also remained a hot ticket in the States, launching the KIDZ BOP Live 2018 Tour, followed by the KIDZ BOP World Tour in 2019.

Of course, each year features new performers, new songs, and new choreography. During these tours, the Kids perform more than 50 live shows each year. The seven-kid cast is chosen through a nationwide casting call that picks young talents to sing on the KIDZ BOP albums, star in their music videos, and travel North America as part of the KIDZ BOP Kids live tours. These kids are all multi-talent threats (some even have Broadway credits already to their name) and may just be future pop stars themselves.

    Not what I expected

by NWIE on 8/1/17Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester Hills

Kidz Bop did not even go on the stage until 6:30pm. They took one 15 minute break and then were done at 7:35pm. I bought my daughter the VIP package so she could meet them and after the show all they did was put her in a picture with them. She did not get to talk to them or anything. I paid $165.00 a ticket for this!!!!!!!!! Expected the 'after party/meet and greet' to be a little more than having someone take ONE picture with them.

    Not memorable

by Mmwis on 8/1/17Meadow Brook Amphitheatre - Rochester Hills

They started half hour late. Sang 5 songs then did a long intermission. Came back to sing a few more songs and ended before 8. Nothing exciting to see on stage either as far as props or decor go. They threw a handful of tshirts into crowd which seemed underwhelming.

    Kidz bop

by Mimilesa on 8/1/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The before party was a total waste of money-- horrible food-very limited selection and not nearly enough-- very very disappointed-- I assumed at least one of the KIDZ would show but nope-- huge waste of money -- lots of lip syncing during show-- meet and greet was also waste- - no autographs, no cellphone pictures , no questions

    Kidz bop just ok

    by 2under2atMyHouse on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

There were only 4 of the 6 there. Even my 8 year old noticed the dances were not well practiced and 2 people were routinely off tune. But for us, Kidz bop concerts are a fun night out and we still had fun.

Kidz Bop ... kids loved it

    by Cooper398 on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

My granddaughter loved the concert. All of the kids in the audience seemed to enjoy it once it got going. I think for many kids it was the first time at a concert.

    Kidz Bop - Super Cute

by KBeeeee on 7/31/17Celeste Center - Columbus

Great event and concert - only concert I have been to with a stroller check :) The little kids were great, and the performers kept the momentum of the show going. The only thing I did not like about the concert was their microphones - they were terrible. They were giving feedback, the were over-modulated, and then you could hear the performers breathing real heavy in between songs. The sound guy did not seem to care. It was frustrating. But the performers kept going and put on a great show.

    Way too loud

by Rinischmitt on 7/31/17Celeste Center - Columbus

My husband and I have been to many concerts, and I don't think I've ever been to a louder one. My 6 year old held her ears the entire time we were there. I'm not sure if it was where we were seated or what was happening, but it was pretty painful and unenjoyable. We ended up leaving at intermission. We went to the concert at the Celeste Center during the Ohio State Fair, and it was easy to park and find our seats. I've been to a concert there before and I had no issues with it being too loud. The other very distracting thing was that the Kidz Bop kids were breathing pretty heavily into their hands-free mics whenever they weren't singing. Obviously it not their fault that they're breathing hard. But it seems like something could have been done about the mics picking up the breathing. All in all, I'm so glad I only paid $15 per ticket, and the tickets also got us free admission to the fair! I read some reviews of people who paid $40-45 per ticket for an unpleasant experience. So even though we will never go to another Kids Bop Concert, at least this one didn't break the bank.

    Just A Money Maker

    by Tommy2Socks on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

My kids love kids bop CDs and we have been to the concert before. It seems more and more obvious to me that the production value had decreased and the cost has gone up a lot, especially at the concession stands. The first half of the concert is 45 mins with lots of fluff like a dad dance off and 5-10 minutes of tshirt cannons. Then there is a 15 min intermission and then 30 minutes of songs that are low energy for the young performers. You may not realize it until you go but the entire concert is performed by 4 young teens (maybe age 12-14) and this new crop seemed even younger than last year. My kids wanted to leave early and seemed less engaged this year than in the past. With ticket master fees etc we were in for almost $50 per ticket which is crazy. Can't recommend it anymore

    Eh..... Wouldn't recommend

    by Dancefan222 on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The sound was HORRIBLE. The audio that played before the concert even started, the bass was too dominating and the voices were fuzzy, so you could not clearly make out words. That was for the "pre-show," if you will, where they show stuff on a screen before the kids come out. As far as the concert goes, my humble opinion, the kids were TOO young. They were not that polished. And again, the audio needed help. And when it was time to pass out/throw out the T-shirts, that process took TOO long. There was no need for the kids to hold on to the shirts an excessive amount of time. Throw them out and let's move on. I paid good money for the concert, and it was unfortunate at the end, my 8-year-old said to me, "That concert wasn't that good, and I miss Grant," and he promptly took off his Kidz Bop t-shirt and threw it in the trunk. So I feel I wasted my money. And I won't mention which one, but one of the four singers cannot sing that well solo. Not at all.

    Very fun for whole family

by jobeanus on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Crowd was lively and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. I thought it was long enough especially for children's attention span. Plus, it is summer and hot. Hats off to those performers. They had to be roasting.

    sadly disappointed

by meanymama on 7/31/17Huntington Bank Pavilion, Northerly Island - Chicago

This was the second year in a row we saw Kidz Bop in the same location. It will be our last time seeing them- particularly at this location. My daughter LOVED the show last year… not so much this year. My experience was the same. The KB kids last year were far more talented (and older I’m guessing) and engaging. This year’s kids were okay and did a fine job, it just isn’t worth the time and money it takes to bake in the sun after sitting in traffic for an HOUR to PARK the car.

I think it's a waste to do the meet and greet and you don't get an autograph for your child. What a a disappointment and a waste of of 500.00

    Excellent Show!

    by jmgintz16 on 7/31/17Celeste Center - Columbus

The Kidz Bop Kids concert was excellent! Our 4 and 7 year old daughters had the times of their lives! And my wife and I enjoyed the show as well. Those kids have a wonderful stage presence, amazing energy, and they actually sing!

    Kidz Bop was ok

    by Jae2017 on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Kidz Bop kids were a lot younger & less experienced than the kids on their music videos. Needed more audience participation & wouldn't pay $50 a ticket for this again. However, song choices were great

An hour and 15 minutes. Really?

by Packerschick on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The show was good and the kids had a blast, but starting 15 minutes late, taking a 15 minute "recess" after 30 minutes followed by another 45 minutes of performance seemed like we got short changed. These tickets were not cheap. I have gone to "legends" concerts where the performers could manage more than 1.25 hours of performance, and they certainly didn't need a 15 minute break after a half hour. My granddaughter had a good time but starting 15 minutes late? Let's get it together, Kidz Bop.

    Great event

by PwRSs on 7/31/17PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Loved the venue. The kids were great! We had VIP tickets but missed the time the Kids because of an accident; it was hard getting the items we paid for and never got an opportunity to get a picture with the kids or a t-shirt
