KIDZ BOP Kids on Tour

There is no stopping the 21st century's most massive musical empire: KIDZ BOP. Since first being introduced in 2001, the self-proclaimed "No. 1 music brand for kids" has transformed pop music's greatest hits — even the most explicit of chart-toppers — into kid-friendly versions. It's proven to be a huge success, with multiple albums reaching No. 1 on the U.S. Kids charts nearly every year. Naturally, the KIDZ BOP franchise eventually grew beyond just recording albums to becoming a live performance force to be reckoned with.

After a nationwide talent search, the inaugural KIDZ BOP tour kicked off in 2007 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and hit up venues across the U.S. for more than six months. But it wasn't until seven years later that the brand took touring to a whole new level.

In 2014, the Dream Big, Sing Loud tour landed in more than 40 cities around the nation with the cast singing current hits by artists like Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, and Katy Perry. This led to similar new tours each year, including 2015's Make Some Noise tour, 2016's Life of the Party tour, and 2017's Best Time Ever tour.

Also in 2017, KIDZ BOP expanded beyond the U.S., forming a cast of British KIDZ BOP Kids exclusively for the U.K. audience. But they also remained a hot ticket in the States, launching the KIDZ BOP Live 2018 Tour, followed by the KIDZ BOP World Tour in 2019.

Of course, each year features new performers, new songs, and new choreography. During these tours, the Kids perform more than 50 live shows each year. The seven-kid cast is chosen through a nationwide casting call that picks young talents to sing on the KIDZ BOP albums, star in their music videos, and travel North America as part of the KIDZ BOP Kids live tours. These kids are all multi-talent threats (some even have Broadway credits already to their name) and may just be future pop stars themselves.

    Underwhelming

by EH on 9/6/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

This was a very low cost production with zero effects, lights or anything memorable. It was also put on in broad daylight - which really dampens the mood. It was simply some dancing, “singing”, which sounded pre-recorded, and a screen in the background. My kids were relatively bored. Bummer considering tickets prices.

Great kids, but low budget production

by Concertgirl on 9/6/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

Kids enjoyed it as it was their first concert and love kidz bop. The kid performers were great as well, but there were only four of them. The production came off as very low budget. Stage consisted of two risers and some stairs. More performers or a little more in terms of lighting, live band, live singing, etc would have added a lot.

    Kidz were soso

by Mama on 9/6/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

What happened to the Kid performers today, nothing like the ones from the Mickey Mouse Club (Justin, Britney, Ryan, Kristina) and Kids Incorporated (Martika, Fergie). They used to be serious triple threats with mind boggling dance moves and voices. These Kids were decent but zero wow factor.

    Really fun event

by SGK on 9/6/23Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

Kidz Bop put on a great show. The only criticism is for the venue. The major crowd at the entrance for concessions and merchandise sales needs to be addressed. People entering the venue could get through the doors.

    Best "Starter"Concert

by Emily on 9/5/23Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

My daughter's first concert and it was an awesome experience. The kids knew lots of kids were in the same boat and made sure they had a great time. Encouraged everyone to sing and get up and dance! Even tossed around beach balls. A great time was had by all!

    Fun for the kids

by BimBecca on 9/5/23Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

Kidz bop live was fun for the kids. They played songs that adults and kids could song along to. Not sure they needed an intermission, concerts don't usually have those. As an avid concert goer the lip syncing was a bit a much but the kids didn't seem to notice. Overall, it was fun for the young ones.

My two daughters (ages 5 and 7) loved the concert! I did too! What a great experience and wonderful first concert for them. The Kidz Bop group did a fantastic job performing.

    Fun Experience

by JJanelle on 9/5/23Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

We enjoyed the KIDZ Bop concert very much. The show started on time and went the full two hours with one intermission. The venue had food and drinks and the seats were comfortable. The only disappointment was that there were only four kids bop members who performed the entire time on the same stage set. I think we expected there to be a larger tour group.

    Awesome time as usual!

    by T. Reed on 9/2/23

My daughter had an amazing time again. Purchased the Diamond Kidz Bop Meet and Greet Package-missed the Meet and Greet in 2019-made sure not to miss this one. Worth every penny for the joy I’ve seen both years on my daughters face. Their concerts appear to be designed and tailored for kids-don’t think you could find a better show. Thanks again Kidz Bop production for a good show and another happy memory for my daughter and I. Keep it going!!!

My husband and I took my daughter to the kidz bop concert and we all had so much fun! My daughter was dancing and singing in the aisle and got us up to dance too. Best first concert experience ever!

    Ridiculous!

    by LLJ on 8/30/23

This was a kids concert and the only snack made available was cotton candy! It was 107 degrees outside, every bar was open but there were no kids drinks or snacks that would help cool the extreme temperatures such as ice cream, popsicles, fruit bars, or Capri Suns! A healthier snack option, such as popcorn or bags of kid friendly snacks (Cheese crackers, Gold fish...etc.), and low sugar drinks (other than water) were not an option. This venue DID NOT consider health issues, such as a child with diabetes when they chose what to have available for the kids! At a kids concert, I would have expected more options that were kid friendly rather than every bar being open for adult beverages. When you do not allow attendees to bring in snacks, YOU need to provide these options.

Been to previous kidsbop concert. Works on choreo not good - cmon 6 weeks training? Really for a nationwide tour?? worst lip sync hard to look at, worst overall presentation. Shame overall. Hope kids did not find out.

    A great first concert!

    by Kidz Mom on 8/29/23

This was such a fun experience for my kids! They are elementary aged & love to listen to Kidz Bop radio on XM. The concert was so fun for them; they liked hearing the kids talk to the audience, seeing them dance & sing in person.

    Marketing genius!

    by Wright633 on 8/29/23

The show was booked from 6pm-8pm and started 15 minutes late, followed by 45 minutes of entertainment, followed by a 30 minute intermission and ended in a high note of 30 minutes playing catchy songs! So we paid for a 75-minute concert. A total marketing genius! Not worth it.

Only 4 kids with minimal stage décor!

    by Shawn F on 8/29/23

Overall, the singing and dancing was great. I should have guessed based on the picture, but I was expecting 10-12 performers with changes in stage, etc. I was disappointed that it was just 4 of them performing! So in my book, it was ok-good, but not great.

    Disappointed

    by AJ on 8/29/23

Totally disappointed in this concert. It was dull, not loud enough, total lip syncing, NOT energetics at all. We assumed it was going to be fun, and bright, and loud, with more than four people, and it was just all a disappointment And not energetic at all with just the same 4 performers. Not worth the money we spent. So disappointed
