KIDZ BOP Kids on Tour

There is no stopping the 21st century's most massive musical empire: KIDZ BOP. Since first being introduced in 2001, the self-proclaimed "No. 1 music brand for kids" has transformed pop music's greatest hits — even the most explicit of chart-toppers — into kid-friendly versions. It's proven to be a huge success, with multiple albums reaching No. 1 on the U.S. Kids charts nearly every year. Naturally, the KIDZ BOP franchise eventually grew beyond just recording albums to becoming a live performance force to be reckoned with.

After a nationwide talent search, the inaugural KIDZ BOP tour kicked off in 2007 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and hit up venues across the U.S. for more than six months. But it wasn't until seven years later that the brand took touring to a whole new level.

In 2014, the Dream Big, Sing Loud tour landed in more than 40 cities around the nation with the cast singing current hits by artists like Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, and Katy Perry. This led to similar new tours each year, including 2015's Make Some Noise tour, 2016's Life of the Party tour, and 2017's Best Time Ever tour.

Also in 2017, KIDZ BOP expanded beyond the U.S., forming a cast of British KIDZ BOP Kids exclusively for the U.K. audience. But they also remained a hot ticket in the States, launching the KIDZ BOP Live 2018 Tour, followed by the KIDZ BOP World Tour in 2019.

Of course, each year features new performers, new songs, and new choreography. During these tours, the Kids perform more than 50 live shows each year. The seven-kid cast is chosen through a nationwide casting call that picks young talents to sing on the KIDZ BOP albums, star in their music videos, and travel North America as part of the KIDZ BOP Kids live tours. These kids are all multi-talent threats (some even have Broadway credits already to their name) and may just be future pop stars themselves.

    Granddaughters' first concert

by Christine on 11/6/23Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St Petersburg

This was a perfect first concert for my granddaughters whom love to dance and sing. I'm so happy I chose the seats with a walkway in front so they had room to stand and dance. Don't go hungry expecting the venue to have food though. They only had pretzels, chips and candy bars. Check your venue or eat before you go. Healthier options for kids would be nice!

    Ok for kids' 1st concert

by MOMofTWOgirls on 10/30/23Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - Tuscaloosa

The Kidz Bop concert was just ok, in my opinion. My two girls enjoyed it, especially singing along and dancing with their friends. I was disappointed in a few things: the "kidz"performing seemed to be the same 4 kids the whole time; I do not believe there was much actual singing happening; the sound on our side of the stage was not concert quality (much more bass and stereo sound on the opposite side when we visited friends over there) - not sure if this is a venue issue or performer/staging issue. For a show of this caliber, I would have thought I could get tickets directly from Ticketmaster, but NO, of course they were through a 3rd party reseller with a mark-up. Frustrating especially since there were so many open seats at the venue that night.

Not as well planned for the money

by Wayne on 10/30/23Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - Tuscaloosa

Met at 4:15 per instructions. Gate finally opened 4:30. Waited 15m for dance performance. That lasted 20m. We had nothing to do from 5:15 till 7. Food didn’t open till 6. Lots of time standing around with nothing to do or planned to do. Meet and greet was 10m of pic with group after concert. VIP other than front row seats was a Waste of money. Concert was excellent.

    Disappointing

by E Lacey on 10/30/23Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - Tuscaloosa

This was my 8 year old's first concert. She enjoyed it. We were disappointed that they lip-synced the whole concert. The dancing was impressive. Also, there were only 4 performers so that seemed too few to put on a good show. The kids performing did their best, I just felt the ticket price was way too much compared to the show.

    Great

by eefnash on 9/30/23Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

Great concert for the kiddos - we had a group of children from the ages 4 - 11 and they all loved the concert the same. Only downfall was by the time it got dark for the kids to use their light up/glow sticks it was over. Kids wanted to continue to dance their little hearts out.

    Cute kids, horrible parking

by Andrea B on 9/13/23Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

My son enjoyed Kid Bopz and the performance was great. The kids do an amazing job singing and dancing, they are very talented! I want to focus this fun memory with my son as a fun one, however the process to get in/out of the venue was horrific. I paid for premier parking $50 and it took 40 minutes to get parking. Not only are the workers directing traffic loud (literally telling at you) and blatantly rude, the parking spot available was too small and unsafe for cars/passengers. I initially was directed to a parking spot in the back, meanwhile a huge area was open. Mind you, the show has already begun and the workers are more focused directing parking towards the back in these unrealistic parking spots. On the way out, that same huge open area remained unoccupied by cars. Meanwhile all of the cars in “premiere parking” are scrambling to get out. Some cars had to wait for other cars to leave to gain easier and safe access into their own vehicles. Simply put, the parking situation was awful and I do not even know what I paid $50 for. It would’ve been faster and safer to park on the street and walk to the venue.

    Best first concert

by Foster’s on 9/13/23Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

For being a kids show this was a great time. The only thing I would add is they needed more churro and popcorn vendors and the ran out of cotton candy. The walking vendors could not even get into the stands cause they would get swarmed before the made it. Also, the food lines were very slow so we didn’t get to eat there.

Track and lip sync entire show

    by TxMom on 9/12/23

About 350 on two seats 5th row from the front. My kid had fun, which is all that matters because that’s why we went. However, for that amount of money I do expect the kids to be singing and not lip-synching to a track. Every single song all night long. Extremely obvious because every once a while between the songs, they would actually talk and then you could hear it. Very drastic difference. was really bad though. Kidz Bop is nauseating for me anyway on the radio because every single song sound the same but I expect them to be singing live at a concert.

    Lip singing and boring

by Nurse T on 9/12/23Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

If the kids are going to be lip singing, have better stage decor and a live DJ. I won’t be going again.

    Unfortunately not good event

by Reviewer on 9/12/23Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

    1. The parking as premier for $50 early payment - horrible exp. Best to learn from other events how to scale up the parking world. It’s insane that we pay this much $$$ and took 30+ min to move 2 blocks 2. Vendors were out of stock on items very quickly. And once out of stock, they sold silly items for the same prices. Crazy. 3. The lip sing for the band - very obvious. Ok for kids but price and quality of music was not comparable

Great concert, once we finally got in

by Brad O. on 9/12/23Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

The actual concert was great. My kids loved it. What was terrible was the parking and traffic situation. It took 1 hour and 20 min to get from the freeway to our “premium parking”. I expected some delay and that’s why we got there an hour prior to show time yet we still missed 30 min of the 2 hour set because the parking attendants couldn’t figure out how to let the paid parking into the lot. Super super disappointing. Once inside the venue was great but the premium parking almost ruined the entire experience.

    Show not worth the cost

    Oh my !!! GREAT

by Rosemary on 9/11/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

My grand daughter absolutely loved the show. There were so many people their I only had 1 choice stand in line and not see the “Kidz” or wait in the merchandise. We watched the show, I told her on our way out we would stop. They were closed up and gone. Other than that we had a great time.

    Great fun!

by Nikki on 9/6/23Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

We had a great time! It was fun. Only suggestion is that there should be more concession stands. You would have made more money. We waited 30 minutes in line.
