About

Kevin Nealon has set himself apart from other comedic performers with his unique sense of humor, dry wit, and likeable demeanor. Nealon is best known for his nine-year stint as a cast member of NBC's "Saturday Night Live." More recently, Nealon has received critical acclaim for his role in the Showtime series "Weeds." The show was honored at the 2006, 2007 and 2009 Golden Globes where they were nominated for "Best Television Series in a Musical or Comedy." In 2007 and 2009 "Weeds" was also nominated in the "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series" category at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Nealon can next be seen on the big screen opposite Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Nicole Kidman, and Heidi Montag in JUST GO WITH IT, a film about a man who enlists the help of a woman and her kids to land the woman of his dreams.  In the film, Nealon stars as "Adon," one half of a plastic-surgery-obsessed couple.

Nealon has completed production for the sixth season of the Showtime series "Weeds." The all-star cast which includes Mary Louise Parker, Elizabeth Perkins and Justin Kirk centers around a single mother, Nancy Botwin, who makes ends meet by selling marijuana. Nealon portrays Nancy's nearly perpetually stoned accountant and business advisor.  The sixth season of "Weeds" will premiere on August 16, 2010 on Showtime.

Nealon is also the voice for the title role in the stop-motion animated series "Glenn Martin, DDS."   He stars opposite Catherine O'Hara and Judy Greer.  The show airs on Nick At Nite and follows the adventures of a traveling dentist and his family.  The second season of "Glenn Martin, DDS" will premiere on June 11, 2010.

Nealon was last seen on the big screen in ALIENS IN THE ATTIC opposite Tim Meadows and Ashley Tisdale. The adventure comedy, shot in New Zealand, follows a family who teams up against aliens invading their home through the attic.

In late 2009, Nealon's first one hour stand up special called, "Kevin Nealon: Now Hear Me Out!" aired on Showtime to rave reviews.  It is currently available on DVD.

Nealon wrote a book entitled, Yes, You're Pregnant But What About Me?, which is a comical look at the male perspective of pregnancy. The book was released on May 13, 2008 and is available in bookstores.

Nealon can be seen in the independent feature REMARKABLE POWER with Tom Arnold. Nealon stars as a late night talk show host who goes to great lengths to bring his cancelled show back on the air.  He can also be seen in the upcoming Nick Swardson feature BORN TO BE A STAR.

Last year Nealon hosted TBS's "Funniest Commercials of the Year" for the fifth time. The special highlights the most outrageous commercials from around the world and has been a continued success for the Network.

As one of the longest running cast members on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" (1986-1995), Nealon created some of the show's most memorable characters including ‘The Subliminal Man' and ‘Hans and Franz.' Nealon's reoccurring role as an anchor on ‘Weekend Update' made the sketch a show staple. In 1988 Kevin was nominated for an Emmy Award as part of the SNL writing team.

Nealon can be seen in the comedic success ANGER MANAGEMENT opposite Jack Nicholson and fellow "SNL" comedian Adam Sandler.  He also starred with Sandler in EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS, THE WEDDING SINGER, HAPPY GILMORE, and YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN, which grossed $201 Million worldwide.  In addition, Nealon starred with "Saturday Night Live" alumni David Spade, in JOE DIRT.  His other film credits include DADDY DAY CARE with Eddie Murphy, GOOD BOY with Molly Shannon, ROXANNE with Steve Martin, and the cult hit, GRANDMA'S BOY with Jonah Hill and Nick Swardson.

Nealon is a familiar figure on television as well with a number of guest appearances on "Monk", "Fat Actress", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Still Standing."

    Hilarious!

by The Stardog on 12/22/21Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

Was very, very funny. Opening act was really funny, too! We realized about 10 minutes into Kevin's act that our cheeks were hurting from laughing and smiling so hard. Was very cool to see him live. Thanks for the great time and awesome movie/tv performances over the years!!

    Thé best

by AMT76 on 12/20/21Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

One of the funniest stand up shows I’ve ever seen. His witty humor is the best. I like that he doesn’t resort to standard, worn out men v. women jokes, sex jokes and cussing.

    Great Show

    by Lamarchese on 12/5/21Rialto Theatre-Tucson - Tucson

Kevin and his opening act, Kurt Fox (sp?) we’re very funny. I love his style of humor. I was disappointed to see so many empty seats. I don’t think the event was well advertised.

    Kevin Nealon Was Solid

by CapCal on 7/3/18Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

We enjoyed the Kevin Nealon show, including the fact he greeted those of us waiting in line before the show. He was typically funny, engaging and self-aware. The two opening acts were solid as well.

    Strike Three.....that evening was OUT

by Mad4Vikings on 7/3/18Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

I have been to Cobb's Comedy Club many times. Rarely does the MC, the opener and the headliner all bomb. Well, they ALL did that evening. The MC was bad enough, but he is only on 5 or 10 minutes. The opener guy was a disaster. I don't think I laughed at all. He just wasn't funny, and he knew it. He kept commenting on the "quiet audience". There was still time to salvage the evening with the Headliner. I thought Kevin Nealon was funny on SNL. I never saw Weeds. I had heard he started out as a stand up. I have seen other ex-SNL people at Cobb's in the past, and its not a sure hit to be sure. Kevin Nealon has lost it. He was completely unfunny. The audience laughed a little, but the club wasn't nearly as boisterous as other shows I have seen there. His humor just seemed tired, worn and "dumb observational" humor. Three comics, one night, and you couldn't have strung together a good 5 minute set between all of them. And the tragedy is, I had invited two friends that night who said they didn't like going to comedy clubs. Believe me, after that evening, it is going to be a decade before anyone will be able to convince them to go again.

Great show for a great benefit to help stop bullying. Kevin Kealon was very funny as usual with his quick witted humor. He is a true professional and tailored his show to the venue & city.

Kevin Nealon's show was so funny! He takes real life situations that you can relate to and finds the humor in them. He didn't go for the cheap laughs. It was a high-quality performance. My husband and I are so glad we went!

Contrasting Styles, But Overall Good Performances

by thom3380 on 4/26/16Grand Casino Mille Lacs Event Center - Onamia

Norm's style of comedy isn't for everyone, and he was clearly on the intoxicated side. For those who enjoy him though, he was hilarious, as always. Great material and the occasional slur of speech only made it funnier. I had never seen Kevin Nealon perform stand-up before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but came onstage with a style that couldn't have been more different than Norm's. He had a great stage presence, looking very comfortable and relaxed, and he was very active (and was noticeably sober), using all of the stage and interacting with different parts of the crowd throughout the entire set. His act was definitely geared towards the older audience members. Some of the bits had the potential to be "corny" and "hacky", but he did a good job of walking that line and never crossing it. Overall, it was a good show and I'd recommend it, especially to a more middle-aged audience.

    Norm MacDonald...funniest man alive...

by Matt1331 on 4/20/16Grand Casino Mille Lacs Event Center - Onamia

Kevin Nealon did a good job, but Norm stole this show. Norm just has a way of telling stories and jokes that make it very unique and extremely funny.

    Blah

by Sariesocks on 4/19/16Grand Casino Mille Lacs Event Center - Onamia

We were really looking forward to this but went away disappointed. Norm Macdonald was slow, and he was harder to understand than usual. He talked a lot about being old which I suppose is his life experience right now. Kevin Nealon was much better but still only got a good 3 laughs. He went on about some lame Jack Nicholson story for way too long. His best bit was doing a Mr. Subliminal thing involving the audience, so that doesn't say a whole lot.

Not as funny as it could have been

    by pandora3679 on 9/10/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Kevin Nealon was awesome! Super funny and impressive! Norm McDonald came out really drunk and was really not that funny. A lot of people left during his stand up and Kevin Nealon had to come out and sort of save him. I really liked how at the end of the show, they were both up on stage together answering the audiences' questions.

    Great Night Out With Friends

    by Youthinkofaname on 8/27/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Norm and Kevin were both funny. Being there with other couples made it more fun--not sure if Norm and Kevin gave it their all or sorta "phoned" it in. It was nice because the jokes were bawdy and "R" rated without being raunchy.

    Kevin great, Norm sucks!

    by Anonymous on 8/25/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Kevin Nealon is great, very funny. Norm MacDonald is not funny! They should dump Norm and just have Kevin, then it would be a good show.

    Funny but Short

    by JusJess on 8/25/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Kevin Nealon was funny, but his act was very short!!! Norm Macdonald then came in and was really funny to start, but then was dry and boring at the end!

    Trigger warning

    by Anonymous on 8/25/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Kevin Nealon was hilarious. I enjoyed his act immensely. I was expecting to like Norm MacDonald even more, because I have enjoyed his other work. However, most of his act centered around rape. The first half, I thought he actually handled well--I remember thinking "Wow, he's making jokes about rape that are not offensive!" His bits about Cosby and how people are more upset about the hypocrisy than the drugging and raping were great. Then the second half devolved into an extended rant about prison rape that pretty much undid all the good stuff from the first half. I was quite uncomfortable.
