KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD IN CONCERT:
Guitar god Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one of the fiercest young axmen of his generation, and he continues to blow audiences away every time he takes the stage. The self-taught virtuoso is a sight to behold in concert, where his furious fingers and flailing blonde locks serve as the perfect counterpoint to the precision and ease of his razor-sharp riffs. Whether he's playing bluesy originals from 2014's Goin' Home or covering legends like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, Shepherd always treats fans to electrifying performances that are as heavy on pure gusto as they are on musical chops.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Shreveport, Louisiana-born Kenny Wayne Shepherd got his first guitar in early childhood and began learning the instrument with a unique self-taught method. He was quickly recognized as a guitar prodigy, and at age 13 he was invited to play on stage with blues icon Bryan Lee. His first performance at the Red River Revel Arts Festival in Shreveport attracted the eye of label execs, and before long Shepherd had signed a multiple record deal with Giant Records. His 1995 debut album Leadbetter Heights topped the blues chart, a feat he repeated with five subsequent albums including his 1997 sophomore album Trouble Is... -- the longest-running album on the Billboard Blues Chart in history. In 2014 Shepherd released his seventh studio album Goin' Home, another chart-topper that has fans eagerly awaiting his next must-see series of tour dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"I have seen Kenny Wayne numerous times and this was his best show yet. See him if you can!"
"Awesome show!!! Would definitely pay to see them again! He punished that guitar!"
"Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his band rocked the blues. What great musicians. His closing act of Jimmy Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child' was awesome."

Love the Kenny Wayne shepherd band. If you have not seen them live, you know you should!
KWS was on fire Saturday night. Playing the entire “Trouble Is” album was great, forgot that every tune on that album was excellent. Kenny’s solo embellishments were a real treat. I’ve seen him 15 times and he just keeps getting better, I say the best I’ve seen until I see him again and say the best ever. Noah’s voice is as strong as ever, bass and piano solos also superb. Loved it!
First, I always love the Paramount! Second, after hearing this band for years at home, they blew me away with their performance. Outstanding musicians! Great show!
KWS is one of the best lead guitar players ever. Saw his show in August of 22, and this one, 25th Anniversary show, this week. He just gets better.
Kenny is an amazing guitar player. And the band is great too.
The venue was great .well organized and considering all the hard surfaces, the band sounded great. KWS did a superb performance. He was clean a sharp. Chris Layton was great as usual. Noah Hunt ,Troy Franklin , Riley Osbourn were awesome. We were row 3 in 101. The seats could have been more comfortable but the music quality made you forget the hard and tight accommodations. I can’t wait to see them again! Good job over all to the Paramount theater.
Concert was sooo Awesome. Sound at The Paramount was on the money and KWS killed it. Gave us our moneys worth and then some. He’s a GREAT blues artist !! 👍🏻🎼🎸
First off, the Paramount is one of my favorite venues to visit. I do prefer when they do not put seats on the main floor. Typically I will stand on one of the side bar areas. As far as Kenny Wayne Shepherd goes, he’s one of the great guitar players of our generation, and never disappoints. It’s all fun, all power, and you are left breathless after his show. I’ve seen him approximately 10 times now and whenever he comes around, I will continue to go.
Third time seeing Kenny Wayne on Long Island. First was at The Space (Westbury, NY), then Jones Beach Amphitheater (Wantagh, NY) and now The Paramount (Huntington, NY). Each venue provides its own feel and comfort but it was Kenny Wayne Shepherd that made each time amazing. Someone that truly loves writing, making and performing music. One of, if not the best, guitar players in the world. Must must must see. I will see KWS each year if I can until he decides he's done.
Wonderful concert! Surprised just how many songs I remembered from 20+ yrs ago.
The concert is a "dont miss." We have seen Kenny Wayne Shepherd several times and are never disappointed. We had hoped by now that Hollywood Casino would step up its game as far as the actual room. The seats are still folding chairs inside a huge room with no elevation for those seated further back.
Awesome experience! Kenny, Noah and the boys put on an excellent show! Venue was great, showed up a little later than we liked, so did a lot of us. We were able to park get through security, hit the bathrooms, and get through the line very quickly. Staff was great and got us all through before the show started. Band was amazing. The talent from all of them is incredible. Played the entire Trouble Is album plus plenty more. These guys are playing every night, but they do not just phone it in. They worked hard on reading the crowd and making sure to give us a great show. Plenty of original solos from the band members to show everyone what they’ve got up there. With Kenny Wayne and company, it’s always a great show! Only regret was not paying the extra $100 for the best seats. Although we had good seats and don’t think that with the size of the room, that there was a bad seat in the house. Can’t say enough good about it. Great venue, great show. show!
Kenny Wayne Shepherd is the most talented guitar player I have ever seen and his band is a wonder to watch.
We love this venue and KWS started right on time and barley took a break or spoke in-between songs. The sound was great, as was the venue, audience, and staff. ......
I have always loved Kenny Wayne's musical style and guitar playing, but WOW!!! Hearing KWS Band live was an exceptional experience. From Noah and Kenny's vocals, Kenny's kick axe guitar playing, to the keyboards, drums, bass, everything flawless! The venue was smaller and I think that made the show even more special and intimate. I can not wait to see them again.
KWS Band is amazing! Never fail to rock the house! This was my 6th time seeing Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!
Great show. Last time I saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd he was a kid opening for BB King. Last Friday his show was ridiculous. The entire band crushed it. The singer was spot on, the keyboard player was outstanding, the bass player is a beast and the drummer carried the set. Then add in Kenny’s guitar playing and what you have is a great night of blues that sends you looking for when and where you can catch them again.
Awesome great show love to see them again jamming for hours wish they never stopped could have listened all night
Saw KWS back in 2000 and he blew me away. After 23 years, he still does not disappoint. Performance was firey, bluesy, and extremely entertaining. Was surprised at how clear the sound was with every instrument and voice clear and distinct. Great sound system, even greater mixing. Just wish Kenny had closed with Voodoo Chile, but the second set was a great set of songs. New album coming this year - can't wait . . .
