KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD IN CONCERT:
Guitar god Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one of the fiercest young axmen of his generation, and he continues to blow audiences away every time he takes the stage. The self-taught virtuoso is a sight to behold in concert, where his furious fingers and flailing blonde locks serve as the perfect counterpoint to the precision and ease of his razor-sharp riffs. Whether he's playing bluesy originals from 2014's Goin' Home or covering legends like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, Shepherd always treats fans to electrifying performances that are as heavy on pure gusto as they are on musical chops.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Shreveport, Louisiana-born Kenny Wayne Shepherd got his first guitar in early childhood and began learning the instrument with a unique self-taught method. He was quickly recognized as a guitar prodigy, and at age 13 he was invited to play on stage with blues icon Bryan Lee. His first performance at the Red River Revel Arts Festival in Shreveport attracted the eye of label execs, and before long Shepherd had signed a multiple record deal with Giant Records. His 1995 debut album Leadbetter Heights topped the blues chart, a feat he repeated with five subsequent albums including his 1997 sophomore album Trouble Is... -- the longest-running album on the Billboard Blues Chart in history. In 2014 Shepherd released his seventh studio album Goin' Home, another chart-topper that has fans eagerly awaiting his next must-see series of tour dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"I have seen Kenny Wayne numerous times and this was his best show yet. See him if you can!"
"Awesome show!!! Would definitely pay to see them again! He punished that guitar!"
"Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his band rocked the blues. What great musicians. His closing act of Jimmy Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child' was awesome."

Show was great 👍 Definitely one of the best shows I seen and I see about 5 shows a month.
Borgata Music Box, Atlantic City, NJ, March 31, 2023. Kenny, Noah and band put on a fabulous show Friday night. Kenny’s just a fabulous guitar player, Noah a terrific frontman’s and the rest of the band rock steady. This band never fails to please the audience.
Band was great but the sound was quite sub-par. Could barely hear the words from the lead singer
I attended the show with my wife. It was an amazing show. He is definitely one of the best in the business. The show surpassed all our expectations.
Kenny Wayne Sheppard put on a great show. He was very personal with the crowd. The band was in a zone of greatness. Next time they come around I will definitely be going to see them. I will recommend this group to all my friends. Wilber good venue, small seats but great views.
Did the old songs and new ones the whole band was great
The excitement of our first live Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band performance began to build as we found our well located seats, , the stage set up, and crowd noise building before the show. Shepherd and his talented band started fast and rocked the Wilbur all night with barely a break. Featuring music from his second album, an arsenal of guitars, and talented bandmates it was an outstanding Blues/Rock performance beginning to end.
Great experience, great seats, the band sounded amazing, so thumbs up for the Wilbur Theater accoustics Only bad part was the Orange Line getting there
It has to be the best yet and i have been to see him 7 times.
The concert was great . Happy with the experience.
Truly a great guitarist! I am a big fan!!!! They were all phenomenal in their own way! I will definitely see them again😊
Loved everything about it except the seating at the Wilbur is way too tight.
The show had a perfect mix. The album Trouble Is.....was performed in its entirety. Most of the time when an artist preforms an album it is done in the order is which it was released on the album. I like that although the album was done in its entirety it was done out of order which gave the show a real good flow. The crowd was really into the show also. It was a very lively show for a Tuesday night Thank You, KWS for your music.
As always, he puts on one hell of a show. We try to see him at least on a year.
I wouldn't call myself a fan of KWS (well before this anyway) It was a joyful experience to be there. The band has an incredible groove and KWS drags you into it with his amazing mastery of the instrument. The sound to start was pretty muddy and I was sitting by the board so that was a slight disappointment but after about 3 songs it cleared up.
Kenny played hard from the first song and never looked back! The sound was not the best , not sure if Kenny had his sound man or a house sound man the bass overpowered everything else for the first half of the show, then they must of backed it off a little, it was still masking drums vocals and guitar. , Kenny never disappoints with his playing !
All seats are excellent. Kenny and the band were great!
I know this was a great show, obviously, the song selection was spot on, considering the band played. The trouble is… Album from beginning to end. The second set was some choice material as well. Seeing any show at this space is always a joy, the venue is always clean. Sound system is always on point and the crew moves everybody through, the entry points very very quickly and smoothly Win in my book
KWS Band never disappoints !! Could not have asked for a better show from beginning to end. The show was 21/2 hours with Trouble is album played in entirety and 5 other songs that were favorites/hits. The crowd was awesome and so was KWS BAND. Go see this show if you have the chance!!
Kenny Wayne, Noah and the band were on FIRE!! I've seen them many times and they never disappoint but this show was one of the best shows I've seen them preform!!
