  • Keiko Matsui was brilliant

by Bojan on 4/12/17Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

this concert was everything I had hoed for and her new album is a masterpiece. The venue was also wonerful and sitting at a table with strangers is the best, you make new friends.

  • A delightful show

by mfalso on 4/12/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Ms. Matsui is a tremendous musician, very gracious and personable. I felt the show was a little short, at 1 hour 20 mins or so, so she left us wanting more. Having made the effort to come in from Jersey for the show, I would have preferred a longer show.

  • The best show I've ever seen…

by AndreaGM on 4/11/17Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

The best show I've ever seen…Yes, I mean that whole heartedly. I don't know that all of you would have the same reaction I did to finally getting to see Keo ko Matsui live, I can only hope that your experiences even half as good as mine. I've seen many many concerts and I have to say that she likely is the most gracious musical host you could ever wish for. Her performance was lively and quite entertaining. The musicianship… Second to none. Please, if you ever have the chance see her perform live.

  • Great, but short show

by Quadmore on 4/11/17Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

KM, the band, and the music were amazing. It was a short show though. 60 minutes and no encore.

  • Keiko M.

Exceptional Performance by Keiko. Superb absolutely ... I always wanted to see her in concert and I was not the least bit disappointed. She and her band were phenomenal each possessed their individual musical aptitude which resulted in a extra-ordinary blend of Jazz pleasing to the ear and the spirit.

  • Phenomenal!!!

    by Nobody7 on 4/11/17Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

For as long as I can remember, Keiko Matsui has been one of my most admired pianists. As a classical pianist myself, I couldn't wait to see her in concert. Her performance was absolutely flawless! Not only is she an incredible artist, but she is also a gracious and humble human being. I will definitely search her tour schedule to see her again.

keiko was great! I really like the fact that she not only performed on the baby grand, but the electric keys and the keytar. Great show! I would definitely go see her again!

  • A Great Evening with Keiko Matsui

by Pedrolic on 4/10/17Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

My first smooth jazz concert and I was not disappointed. Keiko is a dynamic, energetic, and extremely happy performer! Every song sounded great! She played a wide range of songs across her catalog, with a focus on her new album. She played Black Lion, which is one of my favorites. I would see Keiko again! And again!

  • DISAPPOINTING SHOW

    by cd55 on 2/17/17The Rose - PasadenaRating: 1 out of 5

I LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING KEIKO SINCE I MISSED HER PERFORMANCE AT THE THORNTON WINERY. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. SHE SPENT THE EVENING MOSTLY PROMOTING HER NEW ALBUM WHICH IS SUBPAR IN MY ESTIMATION. A LOT OF THE OLD TUNES THAT CATAPULTED HER TO FAME AND DREW A FAN BASE WERE NOT PLAYED. I HAD LOOKED FORWARD TO LISTENING LIVE TO THOSE GREAT TUNES AND CREATIVE WORK. THE SHOW WAS ALSO VERY SHORT. I FELT LIKE IT WAS A "DRIVE BY" PERFORMANCE THAT WAS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

Keiko was a delight providing superb musicianship in a warm and intimate atmosphere. Her set primarily consisted of tracks from her latest album, which I will definitely purchase. She is an amazing talent!

  • amazing

by jazzkathy on 2/15/17The Rose - PasadenaRating: 5 out of 5

I love Keiko and all that she does, however, I must admit that I like her when she is performing with another entertainer like Dave Koz. and they play together and there is an intermission where you do see her alone and the other person alone but you get to experience them together also and to me, that's a much better concert.

  • I'd see her again in a heartbeat!

Amazing talent and fabulous entertainer. Her band mates were equally talented too!
