Keiko Matsui again proved what an awesome versatile musician she is by giving us a heartfelt performance with Euge Groove and the awesome band they had that night. I don't get in the Christmas spirit easily, but they got me there. OUTSTANDING !!

  • Keiko Matsui Jazz

by Maddxieszzz on 12/6/17Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

Since Keiko was the headliner, I would have preferred more numbers by her alone. Also, in the beginning, the drums and instruments were way too loud. It was toned down eventually but missed some of what the mc was saying. Perhaps it was the mic?

  • Great Tidings from Keiko, Euge and company!

We enjoyed the concert. What a great way to start the holidays and the new season of the Berks jazz festival. The Parkers

  • Not only were Keiko and Eug excellent, but...

As a partnership they Keiko Matsuiand Euge Groove not only were good in them selves but knew how to surround themselves with talent. The female vocalist Lyndsey Webster had such a range of voice and great control. However it did not stop here her husband the keyboard who wrote songs for her collaborated to form memorable works. Adam Hawley is so precise as the guitarist composed and collaborated with Euge to make great songs on his new album release. The drummer has excellent singing range as well. Love the funk the Bassist came up with. Euge is bold and Keiko to supported to proclaim the goodness of God both in words and in song, definitely supporting the Reason for the Season we honor. I heard from Lynn that the team had backed out of Jakarta Jazz fest. Hope they do it some year. Indonesia has a love for Japanese women lead Jazz players since the first lady Dewi, for the first President was from Japan and Euge with his love for the Savior has much to offer this island chain.

  • Tidings of Jazz & Joy

by crtrenn on 12/6/17Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

This show was simply amazing. Each artist shared the stage and complimented each other as they played their songs. The event just flowed smooth as silk. Our party of 4 had a great time and really enjoyed our time at The Miller Center, which is so cozy and a great venue for concerts. Great job by Euge, Keiko, Adam, and Lindsay. Come back again next year.

  • Fantastic Show

This was a very special evening, well rounded, in the Christmas season but full of current music. All performers were great.

  • Great show by Keiko, Euge, and their talented pals

Keiko Matsui, Euge Groove, Lindsey Webster, and Adam Hawley really rocked the stage at Miller Performing Arts Center (excellent venue, easy parking). I've seen Keiko before, and she was great as always. She shared the spotlight with the others and put on an incredible show with a great band. The talent on stage was mind boggling--the drummer even sang a few songs and had an amazing voice. They played some holiday songs as well as hits from their solo catalogs. It was kind of like getting four shows in one. Highly recommended.

  • Holiday fun

Perfect combination of holiday music along with some of the artists best known work.

  • Keiko was unforgettable, massive and nice performa

The concert was a never to forget concert /with outstanding performance, good and outstanding sound chairs were to close attached to each other with not much room special for big people you have to build some space between them! I know the place is not a large venue, but I would prefer to pay more with less chairs

  • Great Show

by ANewman on 12/4/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

The music was very nice. I'm glad they did more than just Christmas music. I would have liked to hear more piano out of Keiko, Euge Groove was generally the headliner. I was not pleased with the seating -- they really cram you in there at BB Kings- - and we got there over an hour early. Also, I thought the prices were exorbitant for food and alcohol. The food was good, not great.

I had expected to hear Keiko Matsui, instead Keiko was the backup pianist to a holiday special. Disappointing.

This concert was amazing!! I bought the tickets on a whim (not knowing much about jazz) but it was a fun and festive night of fabulous music. The musicians and singers are EXTREMELY talented. We left at the end of the concert feeling the Holiday Spirit and as new fans of all these artists. Please come back to Ponte Vedra Beach in 2018!

  • Journey with Keiko at The Berks Jazz Fest

by kkrigger on 4/29/17Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve never attended any of her live evets but I can say the only thing more beautiful than her music is Keiko Matsui herself. Keiko, you said this new album symbolize something like a New Beginning for you. In this compilation of works I could hear the maturity, growth, vibrant spirit and true sounds of your heart. Domo Arigatoo Gozaimasu. This latest album “Journey to the Heart” resonates with me in a special way. Thank you for sharing your journey and letting us accompany you through the years. Also, thank you for a wonderful evening at the Reading Jazz Festival. I look forward to experiencing more of your live performances. Sincerely kkrigger

  • Keiko Matsui was awesome!!

by MrsNeely on 4/20/17Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

I have not been to a concert with this genre of music ever. I wasn't sure what to expect. My husband is a big fan of Keiko Matsui and has for quite a number of years said that he would take me to her concert. The Birchmere is a terrific place with friendly staff and cool decor. The audience was a nice mixture of different ages of people as well as different nationalities- it was a melting pot! I love how music brings people together. Keiko Matsui and her band did not disappoint us. They took time to engage with the crowd, Keiko spoke to us often and made sure all sides of the room got to see her perform.

  • Loved every minute

I've been listening to Keiko since the early 1990's. I saw her some years ago, but this time I was able to get the "front row" seats and really enjoy the music. She is just absolutely fantastic!!!
