Great as usual. Wonderful that military are admitted free. Thank you Bridgestone.
Firestone Country Club and Bridgestone always puts on a great line up of Pros from the past year till present. I try to get their every year. They are so professional and curtious. Even the pricing for tickets and food/drinks are reasonable. As always a great time again.
We have attended for the past 3 years and have enjoyed it so much we can't wait to attend next year. The operation of the event was handled no flaws for us. It was mentioned in the programs we received in the brochures that the gates opened at 7 AM and were told by a guard at the parking area they the gates would open at 7:15 and we spectators could not board till 7:15, outside of that small problem it went smooth as silk. I am a golf nut and love the game. To bad about Tiger but good to see some other golfers do well. Thanks Ralph
The weather was perfect. The golfers were fabulous. The grounds are well-kept. I was able to get the merchandise I wanted without a long wait (get there early). I am amazed how lucky the people that own property to provide parking are, they make tons of cash and have a golf course as their view out their front windows! The crowds were just right. If you plan your day around the golfers you want to see, it is relaxing and everyone has pleasant conversations (except for the Pittsburgh fans standing behind us that said they hated Ohio, then don't come here you idiots!)
Wow! TV sure doesn't do golf any justice whatsoever. You must see a live golf event if you love the game.
Great to watch Tiger and Phil. Stood right next to Rory as he drove a great shot from the rough.
We really enjoyed the event, especially the practice days and getting to see the players and getting their autographs. Everyone was very nice and it was well run event. One suggestion is to possibly lower the price of the food and allow people to bring in bottled water.
Great venue on a gorgeous day! How often do you get to see the world's 50 best golfers all at one place on one day?
This event will be much more enjoyable when Tiger Woods is back to his old form. I expect that next year's Bridgestone will benefit from that.
I love going to this event. We are very fortunate to have championship golf right here in Akron
The course was in great shape and the course workers and volunteers were courteous and helpful. The free parking and shuttle rides are a nice feature. Can't wait until next year.
This was a very good event. Bridgstone does an excellent job of hosting this event.
The GOOD: Providing free entry to the youngsters is a very good experience, that should always be continued. Don't even charge any minimum. I took my three grandchildren three times and their parents took them three times. The kids loved each day, especially the Practice Rounds and the autographs they collected. This is our fourth straight year for the kids - ages 12, 8 and 6. The BAD: 1.The restroom facilities everywhere - Port-A-Potties, associated with the Championship Club and even the on the course buildings were less than desired. Maintenance was not good. 2. The prices of food and beverages is way too high. 3. The ticket change from a souvenier style to the movie ticket doesn't show much style/class. I understand cost reduction. But this year we got really bad stuff and also had to pay for the programs-even if it was only a dollar.
Another excellent day at Bridgestone - only sad that my "favorite" didn't win, but enjoyed the day with friends and family!
We had a great time watching all the golfers. Especially Mahan going over the green and having to back up so he could hit it in. Great putt after that! Loved seeing him win!
Tiger and Phil were all over the place. Not what I expected but Mahan, Perry, and Furyk were simply dazzling. The golf course was beautiful, television does it NO justice. I can tell you that even when these guys hit "bad" shots, they are amazing shots. The recovery shots from the guys you never even heard of are worth the price of admission. Then Kenny Perry's hole out on 6, you couldn't ask for a better time. I highly recommend the event and will certainly make it a annual thing for myself.
This was a great event! Beautiful course. Got to see all the players up close. WOW. Easy to get to , they had a good set up from parking lot to course, good food. Disappointed about merchandise available.
It was a first PGA event and we had a great time. Beautiful course !!
Great event with reasonable ticket prices and good spectator access. Only negatives are that instead of being transported from parking lot to course in air conditioned luxury coach, this year they used un-air conditioned school buses. Also, the pocket-sized program with daily pairings that used to be free now costs $1.
