First time to the practice round. Golfers were very nice and signed a lot of autographs. Of course, there were a few who just blew people off (Johnson, Glover, Love). I'm hoping to go to a tournament round next year.
Took my 11 year old son to the practice round. It was great. He received over 30 signatures from golfers during the day (Furyk, Els, Goosen, Curts, Donald, Ogilvy, etc, etc). We stood about 10 feet from Tiger Woods and walked three holes with him. This was the best value for a ticket to a pro sports event that I have done in a long long time. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys golf or who has young kids who enjoy golf. What a day!
Over all I think the Bridgestone Invitational was a very good event. The tickets through Ticketmaster were 20.00 with service charges as oppose to Bridgestone tickets which were 65.00. If I could change one thing I would put on the tickets in very bold type that cell phones are not allowed. I had to go back to my car to return my cell phone. On a side note most of the players were very hospitable except for Tiger Woods. Not once did he sign an autograph,or thanked the crowd for their applause which was ridiculous. Other than that it was a excellent event.
It was awesome. Got to see all of them - do MULLIGANS!! And wasn't that crowded - til Tiger finally showed up.
The players were relaxed and kidding around with each other, the crowd was small and the weather the best. How can you beat that for $15.00!! My wife and I thought it was a great deal and just a perfect day. Even the food was reasonably priced. Hotdog, chips and coke for $6.00, good price for a major sports event. I would highly recommend that everyone who can take the time should spend one day at te Firestone Country Club.
An amazingly fun day getting to be so close to actually see and feel these guys hit it. The South Course and the fans were just phenomenal! I can't wait to go back out next year.
Great event for the kids to experience the atmosphere of pro golf.
