Kansas City Chiefs History
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded as the Dallas Texans in 1959 by businessman, sports pioneer and American Football League founder Lamar Hunt. The team moved to Kansas City before the 1963 season and were renamed the Chiefs. The team found success early on, winning three AFL championships in the 1960s to become the team with the most championships in the AFL. In 1970, the club joined the NFL when it merged with the AFL. That year, the team won its first AFL-NFL championship in Super Bowl IV against the Minnesota Vikings, beating them 23-7.
The Chiefs have had 25 individuals inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and have produced five Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award winners — tied with the Chicago Bears for the most of any team.
Head Coach Andy Reid joined the team in 2013, and under his leadership, the Chiefs have made the playoffs consistently. The club won the AFC West from 2016 to 2022 and clinched championship titles at Super Bowl LIV in 2020 and Super Bowl LVII in 2023.

Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
Opened in 1972, GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium has a capacity of 76,416. As one of the first stadiums developed after the AFL merged with the NFL, Arrowhead was a leader in stadium design. It introduced the use of arrows on the yard markers at the goal line (eventually becoming a requirement in the NFL), and was the first to be a part of the two-stadium Truman Sports Complex.
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is also known to be one of the loudest stadiums in the league. In 2014, fans set a Guinness World Record for stadium noise, registering a sound of 142.2 decibels during a game against the New England Patriots.

In game experience was second to none, but logistics of parking, getting from parking lot to the stadium, and getting in the gate were sub-par. This facility needs to update logistics plans to allow fans to get in/out of the stadium/parking more efficiently. The game was awesome, but arrowhead is showing its age and needs a remodel.
Guess i waited too long to buy a ticket... nosebleeds were under $500 yesterday now you want almost a grand what a rip off
Always best place in world to go for a good football game, best environment to be around
Great stadium, great fans, great seats, and the best NFL game ever been at.
It was a fun roller coaster like experience. The highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Loud and exhilarating.
This game was beyond anything that i could imagine.
Epic game and a great time at the stadium. Can’t wait to go again.
By far the best game I have ever seen. Watching Mahomes, Kelse, and Hill play was an awesome experience.
Super easy to get tickets with seat choices and prices attached so I could pick where I wanted! Parking was a breeze and much cheaper when purchased with event tickets! Being able to download to wallet was the easiest thing in the world to do! All I needed was my phone to take in! Great Job Ticketmaster for making my experience with you the best so I could attend the best football game that will no doubt be one of the greatest in NFL history!!
That was the best game I have ever seen. The environment is awesome. The fans are awesome and we won.
The game was crazy to see in person!!!!! I’m for sure a KC fan. Everyone was so welcoming! Love.
Great Seats Wonderful Time in Arrowhead!!!! Go Chiefs!!!!!
Loved every min of the game! To bad you ran out of fireworks but oh well!
The game was awesome, the halftime show was awesome. No complaints about anything.
Parking is ridiculous. Very few attendants and very little direction.
Great fun. Time to say goodbye to the predator who shall remain nameless
The game experience was awesome! Parking was not. Not sure if it was the snow or what but the parking was not organized. It took about 1 hour after getting to the the car to even start moving. Almost 2 hours of sitting to get out of the parking lot!
I’ve been to two Chiefs games now. One was early in the season during the day and now this one that was at night. Both were great but this one at night was AMAZING!!!! Totally electrifying!!!
We had club level seats and were quite impressed with the beautiful layout. We enjoyed being able to walk around the entire stadium without leaving the club!
