  • Love Jurassic Quest

by ccglenda on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second one we've attended and the kids were the PERFECT age (7 and 6). We went knowing that we would let the kids drive the activities for the day and everything went swimmingly. We really liked that the inflatables were spread among the other exhibits because that allowed one of us to take the older child to those while the other took the younger to the craft area. The baby dinosaurs are the absolute BEST part of this experience. But we also got a lot more out of the life-size displays this time than last time (2 years ago) because the kids had more patience to look and read the signs. My only complaint would be that the walking dinosaurs had very worn and tired costumes. My grand kids loved how they tried to come into the crowd and "attack"; in fact one of them moved so that she would be "in the line of fire". We look forward to doing this again.

  • Great experience for kids of all ages

    by Mongo1959 on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Not sure if it was the available space at Hale arena or if they have expanded in general, but there was so much more to do than ones we have been to in the past. While expensive, well worth the money for everything they offer. I was surprised that the dinosaur display was not crowded at all, most people were in the other section with the rides & games. Line time wasn’t too bad and there were so many options. Will definitely go again. The only negative was the smell in the game area as this is a livestock arena, not overly pungent, but noticeable.

  • Fun but overpriced

by ShelbyU on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was definitely cool. My 4 year old loves Dino’s so we thought this would be perfect but it cost us $100 just for 3 of us and it wasn’t worth it. Also I’m a nursing mom and it was really hard to find a place to nurse. There needed to be more places just to sit down. Benches would have really helped. And the “moving” dinosaurs were neat except the fact that you could see the person inside the Dino suits pants. They didn’t cover their legs so that was kind of sucky.

  • Amazing life size dinosaur!

by Boyfun on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

Was a very good time. And very interesting. Hard to imagine they were that big.

  • Horrible Venue/Too much money

by Anonymous on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 1 out of 5

Horrible venue, twice as much money as the year before!!! Had to pay for parking after we paid $80 for 3 tickets and another $40 to be able to do anything inside! Ridiculous!!!!

  • Terrible

by Ksop on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 1 out of 5

One of the worst events. Only vip tickets get to ride on rides. Each ride is almost 30 minutes wait. Everything is so slow. Dinasour area museum was ok they had a couple of bouncy houses in there but the lights were off and kids were too scared to go play in the dark. I don’t recommend this place.

  • Amazing event

by Svance on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I have a 7 year old and a 2yr old and they are both obsessed with dinosaurs and there was stuff there for both! The exhibit itself was awesome and the scenery was perfect and layed out perfectly. Staff was wonderful and I had a good time because my kids had a good time! Highly recommended and we’ll be back again!!

  • Be prepared to wait in line and shell out $

    by Tina82 on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 3 out of 5

This was a very fun and interesting event however most of the activities (all my child wanted to do) required a 15-20 minute wait in line for 1-2 minutes of ride/play. Many of the staff working the event gave kids very little instructions and seemed uninterested in working the event. Also, be prepared to pay extra money once there. Balloons are $15! Everyone has one so of course your kid wants one too. Face painting is not included in VIP ticket price so that cost extra and the wait was ridiculous - 2.5 hours at one point. The dino rides were lack luster and my 9 year old was not thrilled. Also the walking dinosaur is visibly a person in a suit - u can see human legs. So he wasn't interested in that either. Glad we went 1 time but we will not be back.

  • It was okay if you like to hurry to wait.

by EhOkay on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 3 out of 5

It was really neat to see the life size exhibit and see them actually moving but it was really dark. The activities were neat as well but it was a hurry and wait kind of event. The face paint line was a 2.5 hour wait which required additional payment as well as the green screen photo. I purchased the VIP wristband for my kiddo and he only got to do 2 things because it was so busy and lines were so long even he didn’t want to wait, and that’s saying something. Overall it was a neat experience but probably only a one time deal for us.

  • Very exciting!

by KTayP on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I have three boys that love dinosaurs and they were not disappointed at all! They didn’t want to leave. There was something for each of their ages as well. Even our 1 year old could ride/drive the dinosaurs and play in the bounce house. They got to dig for borns and get chased around by a dinosaur! So much fun seeing all the different life like dinosaurs. I would highly recommend this to any child that likes dinosaurs. Worth the money!

  • Kinda dissappointed

by JoshBKC on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

We paid for the VIP ticket for my son, but most of the all access things were not suited for his age (he turned 8 the day of the event). They were geared much more towards toddlers and preschoolers. He did enjoy the bounce areas but no one was really collecting tickets so I don't know why I paid double so he could have "unlimited" access. Also there were still things like balloons, green screen pictures and face painting that still cost extra, even though we had the VIP. I'm overall a little disappointed that I paid the extra and should have bought a standard ticket. The dino's were very cool though and he was happy about running around looking at them.

  • Amazing

by KilisDad on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing. The animatronic dinosaurs were great especially the huge T-Rex and Spinosaurus. We took our 3 year old, he was a little nervous at first but quickly warmed up to it. The volume was at a perfect level, to help him be comfortable during the walk through. The rides and activities were also great. We absolutely loves it. The fossil digging was his favorite, we had to drag him away. The staff was excellent. Extremely professional, kind, courteous, friendly, great, awesome, amazing, knowledgeable... (I could go on). I would definitely recommend this event and we will go again if this comes to KC next year.

  • Definitely not worth what we paid

by Notagains on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

The main room with all the dinosaur statues was very cool, however, the second room with all the events for the kids was not so great. There was a food venue all the way in the back and we waited 45 minutes in line to be served by the rudest woman I have ever met. When you have thousands of people, have a couple good venues. A lot of the dinosaur rides were broke down so it limited to just a few kids being able to ride at one time which caused very long lines.

  • Wish they told us about parking.

by Anonymous on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

The event itself was good once we got in. I wish that they had told us somewhere on the website that parking was 7 dollars cash only though, because it was a real pain to have to turn around after waiting in line to go find cash and since there is nothing down there but a few gas stations you had to pay an ATM convience fee on top of it. Then wait in line again. The rides were fun though and my 3 year old had blast.

  • Jurassic quest

    by Raven1978 on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Jurassic quest in kc was a really good time for all ages. I took my 2 and 9 year old and the had a great time. Lots of activities and things to do. Large life like dinosaur which were a favorite of ours. Friendly staff also.

  • Awesome dinosaurs

by Vetone on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The dinosaurs were awesome, there were many of them. They were very realistic looking and several moved there heads and tails. The bouncy houses and riding the dinosaurs is a must for the kids. My four year old had a great time. It is well worth the money.

  • Over rated Dinos

by Anonymous on 1/10/18Hale Arena - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

My son grew bored quickly. The dinosaurs that moved only moved small amounts. There were more air inflated bouncy rides than dinosaur attractions. Not worth the money. I only saw 1 vendor serving food and all they offered was pizza.

Love it just get VIP for kids to ride every ride they have.
