About
Julian Marley is a British-Jamaican singer, songwriter, musician and son of late reggae legend Bob Marley. Raised with multi-instrumentalist skill in the UK, Marley moved to Jamaica in 1993 and began recording full-time with his brothers Stephen, Damian and Ky-Mani Marley. In 1996, he released his first solo album Lion in the Morning under Julian Marley and the Uprising, his touring band. His three subsequent releases, 2003’s A Time & Place, 2009’s Awake, and 2019’s As I Am, all logged Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. The latter two also earned Grammy nominations for Best Reggae Album, while his 2023 collaborative effort Colors of Royal with producer Antaeus garnered Julian Marley’s first win in the category in 2024. Across his career, Julian Marley has toured extensively with his band The Uprising and collaborated on multiple tracks with Stephen and Damian Marley.

Great Concert from JuJu

Our small crowd sounded so loud when they came on the stage. Julian Marley was a vibrant energy that captivated your eyes with glimpses & vocals similar to his father. Close your eyes for a moment & you hear his dad in JuJu’s voice. & with The Uprising band setting the tone with their infectious instrumentation & vocals, the combination creates a concert that is unforgettable for any reggae fan, especially if you’re a fan of his dad, Bob Marley. I would’ve paid double without question.

The only problem that I would say is that I paid for VIP but didn’t sit in the VIP section. Nevertheless I still had a really good time and would go again to Sony Hall!

JuJu Royal Roots Rock Reggae in The House

Both times were incredible and I’d recommend anyone and everyone to see Julian and any/all of the Marleys they can!!!! Best shows of my life are Marley shows! Bless up!

The band that opened for Julian Marley, Heart Attack Guns was very good, & a perfect opener! Julian Marley's band, The Uprising, was solid & tight! Overall a great show!
