About
Julian Marley is a British-Jamaican singer, songwriter, musician and son of late reggae legend Bob Marley. Raised with multi-instrumentalist skill in the UK, Marley moved to Jamaica in 1993 and began recording full-time with his brothers Stephen, Damian and Ky-Mani Marley. In 1996, he released his first solo album Lion in the Morning under Julian Marley and the Uprising, his touring band. His three subsequent releases, 2003’s A Time & Place, 2009’s Awake, and 2019’s As I Am, all logged Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. The latter two also earned Grammy nominations for Best Reggae Album, while his 2023 collaborative effort Colors of Royal with producer Antaeus garnered Julian Marley’s first win in the category in 2024. Across his career, Julian Marley has toured extensively with his band The Uprising and collaborated on multiple tracks with Stephen and Damian Marley.

by rplb on 10/19/09Showcase Live - FoxboroJulian Marley came on after about 3 sets of just the band groovin it. The band was out of this world. The lead guitarist hit notes I didnt think anyone but hendrix could hit, completely on key- throwing in tight screeching riifs at just the right time. Backup female vocalists sounded amazing. When Julian Marley came on the vibe was boosted and Stephen came on it reached peak. The crowd was so into it that we got 2 or 3 encores. Great show, would definately see them again

However, Stephen came on stage for about 10 mins and ELECTRIFIED the crowd. Too bad we didn't get more of the dynamic duo of Stephen & Julian. All in all, very nice concert.

The music was so good Julian covered rasta man vibration. Pretty much my favorite bob song ever. Then got to meet Julian after the show.
