I thought it was a good production. Fun, funny, well put together, talented artists with dancing and singing.

This is the third time that I've seen this show and it won't be my last! I appreciated the different approach through new setting and scenes, still not changing the storyline!

  • Joseph's Amazing Cast!

by ToriMayes on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I recently saw the performance of Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat at the Pantages theatre in Hollywood . I was blown away by the effects, humor, and the incredible range of diversity and spirit of the cast. I was so impressed I in fact gathered another group if friends to come see it the following weekend. This play was funny, witty, fast paced and a wonder to behold from any seat in the house.

Fantastic show - my mother-in-law and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would pay to see it again! And it doesn't hurt that "Joseph" is chiseled and gorgeous!!

We thought this was a great show! The singing and dancing from the whole cast was awesome. The narrator and Joseph have exceptional voices. Fun for the whole family.

  • Go, Go, Go Joesph

by Ruhrgold on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

Fun night with a classic! This new version has a few changes (no kids?) that is wasn't a fan of...but the still had a greats time. Ace was a good Joesph...but Diana still needs a bit of work to completely fell comfortable as the narrator. (Some needs to remind her she is on stage and not on TV. Ha!) The rest of the cast is fantastic!!

  • Amazing Dreamcoat!

by dceor on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This show was great! It was an incredible blend of acting, singing, staging, technology and fun. As a family involved in our local high school musicals, we appreciated every aspect of the musical. It was money well spent!

I loved the choreography, humor, and terrific voices! My favorite number was "Those Canaan Days" with the ensemble...made me laugh the loudest! Entertaining and also some poignant moments. Good all around play!

  • Absolutely amazing in every way

The show had an amazing story line with a great cast and production. Couldn't recommend this more highly.

  • Delightful as Always

by ArtistScientist on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

Production was great. This is a very clever show and one of my favorites. If you did not hear this Old Testament story as a child, read it - show will be even funnier. Ace Young was very strong in the role of Joseph. Supporting cast also has some strong talent. The Pharoah is terrific. A few negatives - The narrator, Diana DeGarmo, sang at such a high pitch that I found her difficult to understand. They skimped too much on scenery - a couple of fake wheels for the chariot would help, also cardboard camels for the Isrealites would be a nice touch.

  • Fun all evening!!!!!

great acting, very upbeat, enjoyable, glad I didn't miss it

  • what a major disappointment

by longtimejosephfan on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

was looking forward to this show for months had seen the show many times back when donny osmond was playing joseph and it was tremendous sadly, this was a lousy community theater production with sub-par leads ace as joseph isn't even the poor man's version of donny osmond (or others that have played joseph since)... there is a reason that he was eliminated early on american idol and it couldn't have been made clearer than his lackluster performance in a lead role... perhaps he would do well as one of joseph's brothers, but as a lead, he just doesn't have the voice diana was better than ace in her role as the narrator...however, she still doesn't rate a favorable comparison to others that have played the role the balance of the cast had their moments eg the brothers at the table during canaan days, but on balance the production quality was low and the talent level was right there with it a supreme disappointment

  • Skip this production

    by iamdisappoint9 on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

I can't really say one good thing about this production. You can tell that the cast of performers wanted the show to be good but it just isn't. The lead performers are weak vocally and the staging ranges from cheap to cheesy.

  • Joseph dancers and costumes were dull

by Jounim on 6/24/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 2 out of 5

The singing and acting was good but the dazzling costumes were dull at best and the dancing and choreography was amateur, as in high school level. I would only recommend this show to an inexperienced Broadway show enthusiast. It is still a fun show. Frustrating if you knew what you were missing.

  • A Decent Show

by WLTK on 6/23/14Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

I was really looking forward to this show, however, I left a bit disappointed. I thought the performers were pretty good, but not amazing. There were some very creative lighting elements. The costumes and backdrops were ok, but again not great. I guess overall it was just not as impressive a show as others that I have seen.
