LOVED this show!! I cant tell you how amazing the stage and performance was! Great singing and outfits!! Would go again for sure!!
A very entertaining production of a classic. Diana Digarmo has a VOICE on her!!!!
Our experience was overall quite positive. There was a small electrical fire that happened at the beginning of the second half. It was 2 rows directly down from our seats originating from what appeared to be an aisle light.
Very good but I still like the film version with donny osmond but I wouldn't mind to see the play version again it was very enjoyable
I've always been a fan of this show, but this version threw in a few twists and new jokes that made it even better! The leads were fantastic, but so was every member of the ensemble! I would recommend this production to anyone.
Awesome is all I can saw. Took my daughter and both enjoyed this show so much we wish we could see it again. The actors, the music, every aspect of the show was unbelievably entertaining. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!~
Joseph was phenomenal . I am old fashion with my taste in musicals meaning I love lots of singing and dancing with big production numbers. That was Joseph from start to finish. The voices of the narrator and Joseph we're spell binding and the dancing a feast for your eyes. From start to finish it was truly an amazing experience.
This play was fantastic. Lovely, upbeat music and dancing kept us glued to the stage every second. This is a must see with family and friends as we did! Everyone enjoyed.
Great cast and fantastic night! Could not believe how quick the show seamed! Wish it were longer!
Outstanding performance!! Kept my entire family engaged (including the 3 young boys) the whole time!
The music was fantastic and it was generally fun. The lead singer (female) was much too high and couldn't understand half of what she was singing. It was probably accustics also as the band was too loud. I heard everyone complain about it as we left the theater. Other than that though we did enjoy it.
We really enjoyed the energy and lightheartedness of this production, and the cast performed it flawlessly! Great job!
I've loved this play since I saw it in my youth. When I heard that Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo where in a touring production together, I knew I had to see it. It did not disappoint. Ace shined as Joseph; it seemed as if he had been born to play this role. He had the right level of charm, care, and, well, cheese. His voice was superb, his best moment being "Close Every Door." Diana as the narrator was also great, though some of her high notes felt a little strained, which is emphasized a little in a theatre capacity. Still, she ultimately sounded wonderful, and her performance was perfect: Neither overpowering the lead, nor underpowered to the point of being unimportant. All of the other actors in the piece stood up to the power of the two leads. They shined in the appropriate times. Though the choreography left a little to be desired, the performers owned every minute of it. It made the whole the event a spectacle that was something to behold. The sets seemed to be comprised of a lot of digital effects, but they were fantastic. They had depth that let you get lost in the world of the show without being too much for the stage. I'm most use to the Donny Osmond recorded version. While, I enjoy that version, this one had a lot of changes that I embraced even more. It made me wish that I could have a recorded version of this one, so that it might be the one I remember forever in clarity. I would strongly recommend attending this show. If I could, I would be attending it again as often as possible. Please do so in my stead.
I had seen Joseph before & was looking forward to seeing it again. This new & improved version just wasn't a 5 star performance. Sadly, Ace just didn't have the vocal range to carry the lead & I'm not quite sure why Diana as the narrator was always center stage & not off to the side. I did enjoy Pharaoh's Elvis impersonation & the way he interacted with the audience.
This play is always fantastic but this cast made it the best. You could feel the pain, feel the joy, and feel the victories. They looked they were having so much fun, they made you want to join them on the stage. A lot of energy, great costumes, great, although minimal sets. Amazing how they turned a table into a bed and more. I would recommend this play for everyone of every age. Great evening!!!!!!
Well done production. We enjoyed the show. Only critique was volume a little loud...however we were in the Pit! Also, the Apache dancer routine was not included in the production. Overall a great show.
We had a nice time going out, but the singing style of the 2 leads (Joseph & Narrator) was a little grating to me. I am not a big country music fan and the twang they sang with was a major detractor for me. The 11 brothers were great. The dancing was amazing and funny. If you love country music this is probably at least a 4 star. If you down rate had country because of the nasal singing, you may want to skip this.
Had mezzanine seats- narrators songs: beat was too fast words came out garbled at our area had to figure out what she was singing about. The upbeat songs were good. The mix of ancient costumes and modern dance was good. I thought there should have been an additional scene where the brothers asked for forgiveness, that would teach the children in the audience more about apologizing when you do others wrong.
We really enjoyed the play. The high energy of the dancers and the slick storyline were easy to follow. The biggest complaint was that the sound system was too loud and the narrator's voice was a bit grating.
This is the second production I have seen of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and it was wonderful. The singers were first rate, as were the dancers and the staging. I loved the visual effects.
