  • Amazing!

by drlouie on 1/13/15Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

The amazing display of talent brought energy to everyone in the audience! Lead singers, the corps of dancers, singers, and actors used their gifts to engage the audience completely. The staging and sets pulled us in to become a part of the production. Wonderful! Unforgettable!

  • SOUND WAS NOT UP TO STANDARD !

by Skaterbol on 1/13/15Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 3 out of 5

THE SOUND SYSTEM WAS LESS THAN STELLAR ........... IN PARTICULAR WE COULD HEAR ALMOST NONE OF THE SINGING OF THE " STORYTELLER " ....... TOO HIGH PITCHED AND INDISTINCT . GREAT PITY AS THE STORY IS VITAL TO THE SHOW ........... GREAT PITY & DISAPPOINTING FOR US . THE LEAD SINGER HAD GOOD AUDIO , AS DID SOME BUT NOT ALL THE BROTHERS ! VISUALLY THE SHOW WAS EXCELLENT .

the dancing was great. the music was louder than the singers. i could not hear the words. ace youngs voice was too high and i couldn't tell if he was singing vs the narrator. the venue was great.

  • Joseph and the Amazing Dreamcoat was wonderful!

The ensemble carried this show. They were great in all of their singing and dancing and performances. We enjoyed the show and would recommend it to anyone. Ace Young was good as Joseph but a little weak for this powerful character.

  • Razzle Dazzle yet weak

by TucsonTheater on 1/12/15Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 2 out of 5

I found the production to be fun and enjoyable. The techincal production was wonderful and joy to watch. I found I was wasing the projects and lighting more the actors. Costumes were also fun yet the desinger needs to rethink the narrators first costume, it did not fatter her at all. The two leads were not strong vocally and hard to understand. Elvis was great visually yet fell way short of knocking it out of the park, simple you could not undertsand the words. When I am paying $75.00 per/ticket I expect a higher quality of talent than what I saw during this production.

We missed between one third to one half of the lyrics. Either the music was too loud or performers didn't project/enunciate well

  • Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Enjoy

The music was great although at times it was really hard to hear and understand the voices. The show kept true to the Biblical storyline in a fun and upbeat way.

  • Great Show

by Sistaesther on 1/11/15Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

My husband took me for my birthday, we had great seats and loved every minute of it. It is a great story of forgiveness, and stayed true the bible story written in the Bible (book of Genesis). It is a great way to celebrate, and see a professional, entertaining and well done play:)

  • Loved, loved, loved Joseph!!!

I thought I was at a high school production. Lead voice very sharp, other voices were hard to understand. Dance movements were poor. Overall show was very amateur.

I would recommend this play, but you need to sit up front in order to understand the words to the songs. We all had trouble making out a lot the words. The costumes and sets were very good.

  • Don't waste your money- rent the movie instead!

The only highlight in the entire show was the "Brothers". They looked like they were having fun And also sounded the best. The"Narator" and "Joseph's" voices Were terrible and not anything better than high school singers. This was by far the worst stage performance I have every been to, Certainly not worth the high priced ticket that I paid.

by Efel on 1/11/15Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

From the beginning to the end, I enjoyed this musical. It moved along as a quick pace, the actors were very animated and fun, and the music was incredible. I could tell the audience around me was feeling the same way I was. I would go see it again if it came here again. Even where we were seating, we could see everything.

overall the show was good.I felt the star Joseph was not too good and the narrator did a poor job.

Could have done without the first scene which was today? Didn't like the Elvis scene at all and don't know why it was added. Diana DeGarmo has a wonderful, powerful voice, but having her running around was distracting. Ace Young's voice was hard to hear sometimes, but when he belted it out, it was amazing.
