Outstanding Near-Professional Level Production
by Bob on 6/22/24Iroquois Amphitheater - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5I have seen all of the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musicals multiple times over 30 years in London West End theaters and on Broadway; so when I say this production approaches professional level at times, I speak from experience. The singing, lights, set, costumes and sound is good, but the choreography sells it especially realizing this is a local, community based semi-professional group that had only 5 weeks to rehearse. Emerson Taylor as the young Narrator #3 gives moments of show stopping performance and is clearly on a career path. I saw it the one night 17 yr old T Russel, understudy for the role of Joseph had his debut. He too is on his way to becoming a professional. All in all, if you want an evening of joyous, fun that will have you clapping your hands and tapping your feet this is the production that will send you home smiling with tunes still ringing in your ears!
