  • Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

by DJ Linda on 8/6/25Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment the lights dimmed and the first vibrant chords rang through the historic Lexington Opera House, it was clear that this production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"would be a feast for the senses. With Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved score and Tim Rice’s witty lyrics as their foundation, the cast and creative team delivered a joyful, high-energy spectacle that left the audience grinning long after the final curtain.

  • A Night of Laughs!

    by KentuckyGirl53 on 8/6/25Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

My eight-year-old grandson and I attended a Lexington performance. I really didn’t know a lot about the play when I booked it, but we prepared ourselves by reading about Joseph’s story in our children’s Bible. I didn’t know that I was going to be entertained through the whole thing! There was never a dull moment. We both laughed out loud. He is still talking about it four days later! Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat is one play that I could see again. Congratulations to the performers and director for putting on a first class show.

  • Go, go, go, Jo. So impressed with talent

by Jam on 8/5/25Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

After Saturday's performance, I was ready to turn around and see it again! All performers were high energy and ultra talented. Professional actors, "Joseph", "Pharaoh"Elvis, and the narrator were magnificent with both singing and dancing. All choreography was engaging. I don't think I'd see any better on Broadway.

  • Amazing!!!!

by Lynn on 8/5/25Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I travelled from Tampa Florida to see this show. I was shocked when I recognized the Damian who played Joseph. He sang in the praise band at SE Christian last time we visited. That was just before he left for broadway. He is incredible as was the entire cast!!!! The energy was electric! I loved the choreography. We had great seats at the opera house so it felt very intimate. The staff at the venue were super friendly and knowledgeable. I hope to be able to visit again sometime!

  • Love this musical and it was better than expected.

by Byrdah on 8/3/25Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was even better than I expected very talented . The actors who sang had incredible voices and the others had fantastic dancing moves. We loved the young people who performed and in Lexington, the Lexington youth performance of the arts had a pre show that was outstanding.

  • Fun production with one HUGE flaw

    by Andrew L W Fan on 6/25/24Iroquois Amphitheater - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed this production. It had so much talent and we sang along. However, they destroyed the character of Pharaoh. Instead of sticking to the brilliant original "Elvis"type, they made him Queen's Freddie Mercury, (not a good one) and over sexualized his whole scene. It was awful, couldn't understand the lyrics, and the audience was not having it. Very unfortunate creative decision.

  • good community theater, but too expensive

by Mark on 6/24/24Iroquois Amphitheater - LouisvilleRating: 3 out of 5

This was a good community theater production that unfortunately did not live up to the ticket costs or the spectacle we expect from a Joseph production.

  • Great production

by Pdlk on 6/22/24Iroquois Amphitheater - LouisvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Joseph was fabulous. Liked having 3 narrators. Did not like what used to be Elvis-like musical number. I thought it was way too sexually explicit for young audience. Rest of the production was well done and lots of fun. Costumes were great
