  • Concert of the Year!!

by Bretzy on 10/30/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

After not able to see him in Cleveland last year, it was exciting to see him in my hometown of Akron, Ohio at our premier, historical Civic Theatre. Every person in that show was EXPLOSIVE with talent and every number was captivating,, engaging, and soulful. Listening to the “master” stroke those piano keys was and is my favorite, but not any less the ability to play several instruments as well! The band rocked and one of the back up vocalists had some pipe s!!! No regrets, and next time I hope to afford front row tickets!!!

  • Great show... once it started

by TJHeld on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

Jon Batiste and a terrific group of musicians, including guests Andra Day and Nick Waterhouse, put on an exciting, energetic show that did not disappoint. The venue (Akron Civic) did their usual great job of hosting, and the sound was excellent. And bringing Weedie Braimah onstage for a special guest appearance... brilliant! The only negative... the show was scheduled to start at 8:00, but they didn't start until 8:50. Based on the press leading into the show, I think Diana Silvers was supposed to be the opening act, but there wasn't one, so maybe she canceled and they weren't ready to start yet. Don't know since there weren't any announcements. People started getting pretty restless about a half hour into the wait. But once the music started, all was forgiven!

  • Great concert, but...

by Jim on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great concert. Jon Batiste's infectious enthusiasm had the whole audience on their feet for most of the show. I would have give this five stars except for the fact that it started 50 minutes late with no explanation for the delay.

  • Lively, joyful and unbelievable

by Tag on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

Fabulous evening of entertainment, interaction and inspiration! Loved it. Just wish he didn’t start 50 minutes late.

  • Running on a flat

by RJN on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 2 out of 5

He and all band members are incredibly talented. But, they had an uphill battle getting the audience engaged. All were enthusiastic walking into the theater and then you could almost hear the air going out. They were one hour late. No excuse or apology and we along with many others were offended.

  • Favorite concert all time

by Best concert ever on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

He is a musical genius. Mixed singing and dancing with every musical style and he played every kind of musical instrument from piano to sax. Great message and wonderful music. 11 out of 10

  • Transcendent

by Keef on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste is a maestro – a terrific bandleader, a virtuosic performer and an engaging stage presence, with a great band of fellow musicians and singers (including the great Nick Waterhouse). A great show musically and a spiritual experience – this is what we need right now.

  • Love Riot

by Star on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

The energy in the Akron Civic was beyond compare. The music was unstoppable and emotional. I will remember this concert for a lifetime.

  • Not what I expected

by JanetB on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

While Jon Batiste is a very talented musician, his show left me quite dismayed. I really wanted to like it but unfortunately, I didn’t. We left after about the 4th song. It just wasn’t the music genre that I like. I was disappointed.

  • DIFFERENT

by GBC on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 3 out of 5

Not your typical concert - but very entertaining. Jon and the band were excellent! My biggest issue was how late the show started. It was an 8:00pm ticket time - but the show didn't start until 8:45pm. Which for a Sunday night was quite late.

  • A spiritual experience

by Michele L on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Butterfly is one of my favorite songs! I think Jon Batiste truly exudes beautiful music and a loving welcome! 🙏 The parade out of the theatre to the outside afterwards was lovely too! He is an amazing talent to this world!

  • Great concert

by motomike on 10/29/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent music and concert but coming out nearly an hour late showed a distressing lack of respect for the audience.

  • Good

by Penelope on 10/28/25Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

It was a good concert with lots of audience interaction. However, it was much more religious leaning than I expected. After becoming aware of him through his jazz appearances and piano riffs, hearing a concert that was closer to a religious sermon was a surprise. Sadly, not a delightful one. Each musician is incredibly talented and the star Jon was masterful. However, it was not to my taste.

  • Fabulous

by Big Fan! on 10/28/25Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste and company were fantastic from beginning to end! Several music genres performed. Energy, emotion, joy, just a fabulous evening.

  • Good yet disappointing

by Stick on 10/28/25Mershon Auditorium - ColumbusRating: 3 out of 5

Jon Baptiste was terrific. He is extrtalentrd and put on a good show. However the concert started over an hour later than scheduled starting time. That certainly takes the wind out of the sails and deflates the anticipatory excitement. The songs were good but droned on too long. The opening vocals were irritating to me especially after waiting over an hour to see the concert then hearing just what seemed like scales practice for too many minutes. I wouldn’t seek out another concert but wouldn’t NOT go see him again. Just not this tour.

  • Go See This Show

by Croz on 10/28/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

A brilliant preformance covering almost every genre of American music. There is something for everyone and Batiste's talent is undeniable- he played 6-7 different instruments during the course of the show.

  • WOW!

by Cherie on 10/28/25Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Go see this concert….Jon Batiste does not disappoint! A concert experience like no other…Joyful. Energetic, Uplifting, Spiritual! Definitely a musical prodigy. Be prepared to dance! FANTASTIC!

  • Brilliant musical experience

by Saturn on 10/27/25Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment he entered down the aisle beside my seat until his exit into the atrium and out onto Woodward Avenue, John Batiste brought joy and brilliant musicianship to the Fox Theatre. He showed us his wide range of musical talent from improvisations on Beethoven, to jazz, to pop and to funk. He also surrounded himself with excellent musicians, particularly the vocalists and the saxophonist. It was a splendid evening of music. [My only quibble was the soundboard tech who stood, blocking some of my view, for almost all the performance.]

  • Wonderful evening

by Gills on 10/27/25Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Show was simply amazing. Non stop energy from start to finish. As phenomenal as Jon Batiste musical talent is, his supporting cast of musicians were brilliant. The sheer joy that pours out of Jon Batiste is contagious and the audience couldn't help but to get up, dance, sing and soak up all the joy that Batiste delivered.

  • THE BEST SHOW EVER!

by PJS Toronto on 10/27/25Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

It was a magical and personally transformative event! From walking into that historic theatre, the phenomenal performances, and participating in the 'Love Riot' outside were all mind blowing experiences. I hope he will travel to Toronto soon. Jon Batiste is so inspirationally to everyone. What a night. I'm still singing.
