  • Great show!

by Brenda on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

John was in rare form and the show was incredible. He is extremely talented and did a wonderful job of putting the Moody Blues music together for his band. Considering his age, he can still rock it! I will definitely see him again.

  • A great night of Moody Blues tunes

John Lodge & Co. captured the sound and essence of the beloved Moody Blues. Best concert I’ve been to in a long time.

  • Everything I expected and more. An excellent experience

A-1 a beautiful venue to listen to beautiful and heartwarming music

  • Money well spent for a wonderful concert and unique venue

John Lodge still has the energy and charisma at age 80. I was disappointed that the band's flutist was missing from the show.

John Lodge and his Band were fantastic. JL was in top form and sounded great. However, didn’t like the venue. I have trouble with stairs. My seat was front row but to have to go upstairs for a drink was hard and the elevator was inconvenient. All in all loved the show but I won’t be going back to Au Rene.

It was a great show and I would go see him and his band again

  • John was a 5, the speakers were a 1

by Cobrachick on 3/18/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Everyone I spoke to (all major MB followers for eons!) was upset that the sound system/ speakers for the instruments TOTALLY drowned out any vocals! At the break, I walked to the stage area and spoke with a member of JL crew. I was told the venue controlled the speakers. Nothing changed for second half. The tribute for GE and his lovely poem was totally overwhelmed by the music; not one word was heard. The music was great…Jon Davidson was a real surprise and he did a great job with TA and NIWS. The entire DOFP project was creatively thought out and I ‘d see it again in a heartbeat!!! Just so bummed that the overwhelming sound system/ speakers wrecked the evening for many. I was in row P. 👸❤️🙀😔 I love JL and band!!!!

The venue was fantastic. John did his best, which was pretty good. He's really getting up in age and has lost some voice and a FANTASTIC partner in Justin Hayward. I still would recommend any Moody Blues fans to go see it before its gone forever

  • Wonderful!!

I enjoy John Lodge, not only the music, but his warm personality.

  • Underwhelming!

by JFN on 3/18/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

Barely mediocre, you could recognize a few tunes but so far off of their original sound that it was disappointing. A 45 min, with 30 min intermission, followed by 45 mins with no encore. Hard to replicate a symphony sound with an electronic cello and keyboard....hollow!

John Lodge did a great job. Instrumentalists we’re top notch. Where’s the Flute?

  • Recommended - Entertaining Show

The Band was tight, John Lodge still had a good voice and special guest singer Jon Davison sounded incredible. If you like the Moody blues, this is a must see show. They played the hits and then played Days of Future Passed in its entirety. Entertaining show !

  • John Lodge and his accompanyment were GREAT

by Beth on 3/18/23Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

The music was wonderful. The gyrating, pulsing BRIGHT WHITE LIGHTS IN MY EYES not so much.. I have Vertigo and I almost had to get up and leave. I spent about 1/3 of the concert with my eyes closed and my hands over my eyes ad the pulsing lights were making me so dizzy. That was just terrible. Other than that, I love this venue, so small and intimate. People with Epilepsy would also be very affected by those pulsing lights...

Suggest you DO NOT purchase tickets to this show. The musician's voice is clearly shot, and he should have stopped touring a decade ago. So sad to hear wonderful music so poorly performed.

Not enough handicapped spots. Bartenders were great. Good seats. Tim Tierney helped us. My husband is in a wheel chair. Great staff. Thank you.

Without at least a small orchestra ( which wasn't there), it very hard to do justice to Days of Future Past
