  • Awesome experience

by Anonymous on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Was Highly impressed with Both bands tonight. Foghat took me back to those days I played their live album everyday in 1974 and John Kay and Steppenwolf were amazing and so entertaining. Great show and would go see them again anytime. Thanks for the great night.

  • Steppenwolf still reigns!

Steppenwolf has always been one of my very favorite groups. The group has always consisted of great musicians and John Kay is one of the more unique singers/lyricists/and performers of our generation. He has always been very far ahead of his time. The concert was one of the better ones I have ever seen. The band was very solid and Kay still sings and performs as though time has stood still. You had better not miss this show!

what a great time; wish it lasted alittle longer than 1 hour and 15 minutes.... but while in line for a sandwich my wife met the drummer. told him that this was a bucket list trip! HE WAS SO NICE, came over and shook my hand and bullshited for a few...

  • John Kay & Steppenwolf - What More Could You Want?

    by Littlebit3 on 8/15/15Clark County Fairgrounds - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

John Kay & Steppenwolf was an unforgettable concert. I didn't have the opportunity to see the group in concert during their heyday, and was sadly resigned to the idea that I never would. This show was a dream come true. When I first bought the tickets, I was a bit apprehensive, knowing there were no other original members in the band, but the vibe and personality was there in full force. Everyone in the group was excellent. I was a bit late to the concert, but when walking up to the performance space, I heard from a distance John Kay singing "Rock Me" and said, "Yeah - that's the voice." He's still got it. I also appreciated the references that he made to the group's history, especially in the context of those times. Their music is just as relevant today as it was then, which is a little scary (such as "Monster"). I'm so grateful that they came to my town.

My first 8 track tape was Steppenwolf, and after 53 years later I was able to see them. I wish I would have seen them sooner. GREAT show.

  • Steppenwolf should be in the R & R Hall of Fame!

As always, John Kay was magnificent and his delivery of Steppenwolf's 60's Anthems was impeccable. The music is as forceful and his performance unbelievable, it makes 45 years disappear!

I skipped my 40th high school reunion to see this show and was not disappointed. Great show, beautiful night, I felt like I was a teenager again. John Kay is still hot!

  • Steppenwolf is still fresh and iconic!

John Kay's voice rocks the stadium! Each musician talented, high energy, great groove. Thay are men who give back to their communities. John Kay with his animal conservation non profit, one is a professor at Alabama, and Ron Hurst is the amazing drummer, adored by his drum students from Oregon, who was gracious enough to gather for a group photo after the concert. Keep rockin, and may your blues be only in song!

Cheers first off to a band that can spand from the 1960's and still play together for FUN! John Kay, God bless, still has the same vocal range and the band had a great time entertaining us, you could see it in their faces! Would do again in a minute...great lhistory of a great rock band!

  • John Kay and crew rocked the house!

by stratophish on 7/28/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Loud, but clean, crisp and tight. Kay's voice was smoother than I remember it, but there was no doubt who was at the mike. Last time I saw the wolf was at the Filmore east, somewhere around 1969 or so. They didn't miss a beat, proven by the perfect video synch on screen to a concert long past. They did all the big hits: Monster, night hog, Rock me,Sookie, Who needs ya, Snowblind friend, Pusher and of course Carpet Ride and born 2 B Wild. If you enjoyed this music over the years you really must catch this legendary band on this tour. You will not be disappointed, and let's face it, you may not have another chance. Their farewell tour was in 2007 I believe. Rock on!

john kay was great. the band was very good as well. John played the harmonica like the old days...a lost art for sure. I enjoyed watching the videos from 1970 at the same time the band was playing live....a great perspective on where we came and where we are today.

I had tickets to see Steppenwolf in December, 1974 but the show was cancelled. I waited 40 years to see those classic songs performed live and it was great. I would go again today if I had the chance.
