  • 2/3 of show was great

by Anonymous on 8/16/16Missouri State Fair - SedaliaRating: 2 out of 5

Molly Hatchett and Foghat met expectations. Steppenwolf was terrible.

  • WOW

by Cattycate on 8/8/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The best concert I've been too so far at the Ohio State Fair. Those guys may be getting older just like the rest of us, but they rocked the house.

  • Steppenwolf with special guest Foghat

by Rambodaddio on 8/8/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Foghat played a nice mix of their classic tunes plus one or two off of their new album. Let me just say this, John Kay and Steppenwolf kicked butt Very talented musicians and Kay can still absolutely nail it. Still going strong

  • Steppenwolf Howled

It was a great night. After so many years I can't believe the energy that was on stage. I loved the old videos playing in the background and the memories that were shared,

  • Steppenwold was over the top!

by Melski on 8/7/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Memories flooded back from the 70s when Foghat took the stage. They played the favorites and put on a great show. Steppenwolf came on and the stage exploded with John Kay's vocals!! They played the songs and sounded just like they did back in the day...so much so that they played films of their old performances while Kay sang to them and matched them word for word! I've never seen anything like it. John Kay's voice was as clear and pure as it was years ago and he gave on point renditions of all of the old favorites. I was blown away! this was my first time seeing both bands even though I'm from their era. I was thoroughly blown away! I'm very glad that they included Columbus on their tour this year...thanks!!

Very clean and crisp sound. Brought back memories of 69 to early 70's. Was a great show with John Kay.

  • John Kay & Steppenwolf

by JUSTCALLMEM on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! John Kay's voice sounds as good as it did back in the 70's. Loved the backdrop of his on spot singing from back then to live. Disappointed in the crowd. First concert that I have ever been to where the crowd mostly sat! It was a strange array of folks from age 4 to 84! I would go see John kay again in a heart beat!

  • awsome

    by bassman316 on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

too start out with i would never want to see foghat again the lead singer has a voice that was a high pitch so with his high pitch and the extreme high volume of the music i almost went outside till steppenwolf was to play..don't get me wrong i like a lot of foghat's music just not with the lead singer they have now..Now about john kay & steppenwolf this concert was very good although he sang alot of songs that i haven't heard before his voice has not changed from 30 yrs.ago. When he sang some songs that everyone knew he brought the house down everyone stood up and really got in to the songs. For being 72 years old he was AWESOME..... Would i go to see him again?? O HELL YES!!!!!! I give him 4 stars only because he did not play more of his greatest hits.

  • Back to 1971

  • State Fair Concerts are GREAT!

by OHStateFairGoer on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Great bargain! The concert ticket is also admission to the fair. Spent a great day walking around the Ohio State Fair & ending it with a concert is the way to do it! The venue is small enough that all seats are good; however, recommend the bleachers over the last few floor seats. The chairs were too close together!

  • Great Variety of Songs and Hits

by JTLAFF on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

A big fan of Steppenwolf, but never got to see them before. They didn't disappoint. As a former keyboard player from the 60's and 70's, it was great to see a Hammond B3 on the stage with not one, but two Leslie speakers! Ah, the good old days when the organ ruled. I loved the variety of songs they played too and didn't leave out any of their hits. So glad to hear "Snowblind Friend", "The Pusher" and "Monster". Songs that I had always liked but wasn't sure would make it to the playlist. Foghat was okay. Their first and last two songs were good, but the "middle" ones just all sounded alike. Overall, a great concert. Glad I went.

  • Great night!

by GWEAGLESFAN on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Foghat never fails to entertain and Steppenwolf was superb. A great night that brought back many memories!

  • Good concert with sound issues

by jatoes on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 3 out of 5

Had seen Foghat before put on excellent show but their entire set was drowned out by the bass drum. I could only hear an occasional word from the vocal due to the volume required by the ever present bass drum. Steppenwolf was much better sound and the show was enjoyable.

  • Steppenwolf - Columbus - Aug. 03

by nhyesman on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show. They played all the best songs. Sounded good in the Celeste Center. Fog hat a great opening act.

  • John Kay & Steppenwolf were Awesome!!!

by whatsayyew on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Wow what a great concert! Not only did they play their biggest hits but some that I hadn't heard in over 40 years. John still sounds great and the band was right on. The syncing of the old concert footage behind the band was really a great touch! So glad I didn't miss this show.

  • Foghat rocked

by Joebozo on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Foghat was great, John Kay is getting to old........

  • by Margeb on 8/6/16Celeste Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Both bands were amazing. Steppenwolf did a lot of songs I have never heard, but he would tell a story behind each song so it made them great
