About

American roots rock icon John Fogerty is as beloved for his solo work as he is for his time with legendary swamp rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival. Included by Rolling Stone on both their 100 Greatest Guitarist and 100 Greatest Singers lists, Fogerty continued to assert his role as an enduring figure in rock music with the 2013 release of Wrote a Song for Everyone, his ninth solo album. Featuring collaborative interpretations of his most beloved songs performed with acts like Foo Fighters, Miranda Lambert, and Jennifer Hudson, the album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and provided listeners a fresh new take on classics like “Bad Moon Rising” and “Born on the Bayou.” Fogerty rose to success with Creedence Clearwater Revival in the late ‘60s, achieving international fame in 1969 with hit single “Proud Mary” from Bayou Country. After the release of the band’s final album in 1972, Fogerty would release a series of critically-acclaimed solo albums, including 1997’s Blue Moon Swamp and 2008’s Revival, the former of which won a Grammy for Best Rock Album. On tour in 2013, Fogerty has been treating ticket buyers to extended renditions of his greatest hits, earning rave reviews for his infectious energy.

    A living legend

by chasct on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

A Living Legend indeed. John Fogerty is as good today at 64 years of age, as he was as the Leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival back in the 60's. His show is non-stop energy, Fantastic songs, Vocals that send shivers up my spine, and a back up band that is 2nd to none. With Kenny A. on drums the beat was sinply Awesome. GREAT SHOW

    John Fogerty better than ever

    by gizmo1130 on 7/13/09Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

JF went for over two hours straight. He wasn't kidding at the beginning of the show when he said he wasn't much of a talker, he just wanted to play some good rock and roll music. He didn't disappoint. The set list was a perfect mix of old and new music (with a couple of ad lib moments just for good measure), no down time at all. It was an extra special night because it was his birthday, and he seemed genuinely humbled when the crowd sang Happy Birthday to him. Just an all around amazing performance, and I would see him again im a heartbeat.

    Hereeeeees Johnny

by Norman on 7/13/09MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Fogerty was just a full I mean full pledge rock and roll show. Right from the get go it was non stop entertainment. The man has not lost his voice or anything for that matter but I think that maybe he has improved over time. This was my second time seeing him and looks like it's gonna get better every time. I'd see him again, that's for sure.

    Great Show

The show was great, a mix of CCR and John's solo tunes. Anybody who likes CCR would love this show. Too bad John has never played Grand Rapids.

    Fogerty Forever !

by jaybe on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

john fogerty was amazing !!! the guy has so many great tunes that another show would have been nice just to cover the essentials : ) if you haven't seen him, go !!! go now !!! there are too many living legends among us that won't be here forever. john plays a generous set (just over 2hrs) of classics and some album tracks as well. his voice is still stellar, a unique instrument unto itself !!! the addition of a fiddle player allowed for reinterpretation of some of his pieces, thus, keeping them fresh (think 'Dylan'). on top of it all, john comes across as a humble and gracious person who loves what he is doing... and is nothing short of great at what he does ! thanks for a memorable night john, God Bless You too !!!

    First Class

by Ticojim on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

Non stop first class entertainment. Will see any John Fogerty concert within 200 miles, he is simply the best. His songs are all Classic's and John Fogerty is a true music legend. Seven Days without his music makes one weak. Rock on

    john fogerty absolutely freat

by molina on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

I thought the event was fabulous. John fogerty is one of the greatest performers of all time. I have been at several Fogerty concerts and that man will give you 150% all of the time. He goes on for about 2 and 1/2 hours without stopping; to the thrill of the audience. He is personable and you can tell he loves his fans. He is in touch with his website and acknowledges those fans. He also recognizes some fans in the audience that have been at past concerts. The venue, though, not as big as other venues, provided us with a close and personal admosphere. The sound was great as was the lighting. My husband enjoyed the fact that he was able to drink a beer while watching the concert. I rate this show 100 A +. Thank you

    Too loud

by Shadeseeker on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

This could have been a great concert, but it was too loud. I don't know who is responsible for the volume but it was excessive to the point of serious destraction. John Forgerty is a one of a kind who is among the greatest performers ever. The loudness ruined it for me. Also the delay in start time, although for technical reason detracted from the experience too. As a strong fan of Mr. Fogerty it pains me to not be able to grade the concert a 5 stars.

    One of the greats

by Haywood on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

One of the best shows I have ever been to. The guy was amazing. The most pleasant surprise was that he kept his mouth shut. I almost didn't go because of his political views.

    Still A Viable Performer!

by PaulF on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

You know, there are some acts like the Beach Boys (what's left of them) that you wish would just go away. It is clear that they are doing it now simply for the money and are tired, old, can't perform anymore, and should just hang it up. Then there are people like John Fogerty. While Fogerty delivered a lot of hits (both solo and CCR) and some stuff off of his new CD, it was obvious that this is a man who still enjoys performing. If you've ever heard Fogerty's recent stuff, then you know he is still capable of writing a new tune. He gave a very charged, energetic peformance, so good that you would not guess that this was a 64 year-old man up there on stage. Not that he acted like a kid, mind you. Not that he was still trying to be a 20-year-old hippie. He was simply giving a very good performance of songs he still enjoys doing. His back-up band was superb too, including sometime Fleetwood Mac guitarist Billy Burnette and drummer Kenny Aranoff, who gained fame by playing in John Mellencamp's band for many years. If you get a chance to see a master songsmith like Fogerty, don't miss it.

    John Fogerty at Meadowbrook

by Sambalina on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

Total throwback to the 70s and fun! John was great; lively, same charismatic voice with a helping of southern drawl in it. Band was excellent - good concert at a favorite venue.

    Excellent Concert

by FogertyFan on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

Fogerty was excellent and played nonstop for over 2 hours. It was hard to believe that he is 64. He was down to earth as usual and reminded me of concerts in the "good 'ol days." The only weird thing was seeing so many "old" people there--but I am still in denial. I am 51 but still 29 at heart. Fogerty is a very accomplished musician. He knows how to play just about every instrument--including drums. I hope he tours again next year.

    Loved John Fogerty

    by 58601 on 7/13/09MTS Centre - Winnipeg

We had tickets to see John Fogerty in Sturgis, SD in August 2008, but the show was rained out. So we were thrilled to get tickets to his show in Winnipeg. CCR and John Fogerty have been my husband's favorite band for 40 years, and this was the first time we had seen his show live. We had the greatest time. He played non-stop for almost two hours. He played selections from his CCR days, Blueridge Rangers, and his solo career. He had great musicians accompanying him also.
