A Massachusetts native, Jo Dee Messina started out singing in local clubs with her siblings, eventually attracting the attention of Curb Records and moving to Nashville. Her solo career kicked off in 1996 with her widely successful self-titled debut, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and produced two Top Ten singles. I'm Alright followed two years later and generated significant buzz with three No. 1 hits, ultimately going double platinum in the US. Since then, she's collaborated with Tim McGraw, toured with legends George Strait and The Judds, and sold over five million albums. With the desire to truly connect her fans to her music, Messina launched a Kickstarter campaign to support her 2014 album, reaching her goal in just 30 days due to her extremely dedicated fan base. Jo Dee Messina will treat audiences to her classics as well as new material from her fifth studio album Me on a string of upcoming shows.

Jo Dee Messina put on a fantastic show! Her music was incredible. I loved how she was interactive with the crowd, it allowed us to get to know her better as a person! Not to mention Penn's Peak was an amazing venue!
Never saw her before, but she put on a good show. I hope to get some of her music for my Ipod now. Only negative was the people in the audience who asked questions more than once. Like we care about THEIR life and their stupid comments.
I absolutely love the music room series. JoDee is an amazing person and artist. I absolutely adore her personality and sense of humor. Wish I could see her in concert every day!!!!! :)
I had seen Jo Dee Messina twice before and really enjoyed her. This time, however, I felt as though she was quite snotty and full of herself. Even though she wanted to answer some audience questions, she often cut them off and took it upon herself to choose the songs she performed in a concert she claimed would be "by fan request." Her voice is phenomenal, but her attitude really turned me off. Don't know that I would pay to see her again.
Very good with a great deal of audience participation. A 2 hour show with no intermission.
10/1//2011 Going to see JO Dee Messina tonight at Pikes Peek In Jim Thorpe, PA. I am so excited! I have seen Jo Dee more than 10 times over the years and I am sure she will not disappoint me tonight. I wish she would come to this area more often and that people recognize her for her heart and soul as that is what her music is to her and she puts out more than 100 percent. Jo Dee has been my favorite for years and still continues to help me get threw the journey of life. THANKS JO DEE!
Jo Dee has a beautiful voice, and presents her songs in a very meaningful manner. Her personality in dealing with her audience is also outstanding. However, her dress for the most recent occasion at the IP left a lot to be desired. The pants certainly did not do her any justice, and they even had a stain on them. The blouse looked like something you might wear in your home. The boots did nothing for her overall show, and the hair was a mess. She is such a Beautiful Individual, with such talent, that I hate to see her present herself as she did. She would have looked great in a Prairie Skirt with Cowgirl boots. I also heard these same comments from some other people as well.
Jo see was absolutely amazing. She was hilarious and very interactive with the crowd. She also sounds as good if not better on person. Would go see her again.
This show had it all. Jo Dee made you feel like you were visiting with a good friend. The song she wrote about the first female who died at war moved me. She made me laugh, cry, relax, dance what more can you ask for? I would go again. I do wish the Casino would not limit the time of the performer. I could have spent hours with Jo Dee and enjoyed every minute. This show is worth anyones time to attend.
JoDee's voice is incredible. I don't think she even sings songs to her potential. Sure she could belt them out like Christina Aquilera. Would have liked her to sing more songs. She took quite a bit of time talking with the audience. She was very funyy, I liked that about her. She seemed dressed poorly for a stage singing act. The bass was a little too loud compared to the other instruments. Her act, singing and band were awesome!
Jo Dee has an amazing voice. She allowed the audience to participate and ask her questions. She seemed very authentic, and you left feeling you know her as a person and as an artist.
The concert at the I P Casino was great and Jo Dee gave an absolutely delightful performance! This was my first Jo Dee Messina concert and I wasn't quite sure what to expect seeing her live. While I enjoy her CD's, her recorded presentations are a little too "packaged". On stage however, she and her band came alive with an edge and rawness (that's a good thing) that got your feet tappin' & your hands clappin'. And the audience loved her. This was my 3rd trip to the IP and this was the most enthusiastic audience yet. It was also the oldest crowd I've seen this year. She sang all my favorites and a new song that she wrote, Heaven was Needing a Hero. She did it as a solo on the piano and it brought the crowd to it's feet. The other thing that she did that set her show apart, was the way she reached out and engaged the audience in a warm and humorous question & answer session. There were times when she had the crowd in stitches with her quick and hilarious responses to input from the crowd. I already knew she was a talented singer, but what I saw on stage was an experienced, down to earth performer who cares about life and the people around her and who doesn't take herself too seriously. I loved her show!

Great show....loved it....she has an incredible voice and she is the funniest person..love her stories..felt we were at someone's backyard cookout ....didn't even mind the rain at the end..would see her again
My Babygurl is a HUGE JDM fan and for her birthday I got her tix to see JDM at this place called Indian Ranch. We had 5th row seats so she was happy. Actuallu she was beyond happy. She has seen Jo Dee at arenas and big venues but this one PRICELESS. it was the most up close and personal concert ever. The venue was by far one of the coolest, smallest and fun place (not to mention nicest people)! JDM brought her babyboy on stage, introduced and told stories of her dad and hubby. I felt like it was a private concert just for us and recommend to ANY fan for there is not a bad seat in the house!!! And of course Jo Dee was funny, witty and sounded great and my 22yr old LOVED her birthday gift!

Great show. And the hometown girl made it personal. Talking to family in the audience. Introducing her two year old son etc. She always gives the locals a great show! Also realy enjoyed the two local bands. Had never seen "Not in Kansas" Excellent local band And The Eric Grant band from NH was awesome. Great show in a small setting. Go Indian Ranch!!
I would definately go to see Jo Dee again next year when she is there. Will also go to other artists.
We made this a family outting (6 out of 8 siblings) in memory of our mom who passed away 6 months ago. And she loved Country and loved JDM. And we were not disappointed. The opening act was fantabulous as well. And Jo Dee? What can you say. She has got to be one of the most personable personalities in the Country World. Her interaction with the audience was spectacular. Her music speaks for itself. Jo Dee has a very distinct voice and she was spot on. Her band was phenomenal. And what made for an even more personal experience was her bringing her son on stage to say hello to everyone. But what really makes Jo Dee Messina a true star to myself and family was the fact that she took the time to sign a photograph of our mother we had taped to a bottle on our picnic table. Thank you Jo Dee Messina. In our eyes...you are a true STAR.
