Jeff Tweedy, founding member and frontman of Wilco, is one of contemporary music's most respected songwriters and performers. In addition to 13 Wilco albums, he has released four solo albums and authored three New York Times bestsellers. In anticipation of his fifth studio release, Twilight Override (out Sept. 26), this solo tour offers fans a rare chance to experience songs from Tweedy's expansive catalog in a more intimate setting--spanning both his solo work and Wilco favorites.

I have seen Wilco twice before, and this performance reflected the second performance, when I saw them in Royal Oak. In the first concert I saw at the Masonic, Wilco was stiff, seemingly trying to be something or someone they weren't. Whatever the reason for the stiff performance, the main thing I noticed is that they were not enjoying themselves. In Royal Oak, it was clear that they were enjoying themselves and loved what they were doing. This solo performance was more of that attitude. Tweedy is a brilliant songwriter and performer, and he has embraced his inner-grump and uses it in conjunction with his quick wit when interacting with the audience. This love for what he does shined through and made this a brilliant performance.
He put on a great show with witty interludes. I never heard a concert crowd being so quiet trying to pick up the sounds of the songs. He did a good set there were probably a few Wilco songs I would have preferred over his solo efforts but all in all it was an excellent show.
Wilco shows are always spectacular, but there is something special about seeing Jeff solo. Something communal and warm and funny and sincere. I never miss a show and have no plans to change that.
It had been 12 years since I last saw Wilco. At the time, going in a direction I didn't know if it was completely for me. I've always supported & appreciated that Jeff continues to grow and explore, but I was kinda not feeling it in 2007. I still continued to follow what he/they would do, but stayed away from live stuff. But over the last few years, I'd see video of him solo. I love the simple intimacy and his humor and skill at what he was doing by himself. So when he came through town I figured... this is what I want to see. And I got exactly what I described above and more. He made me weep for crimony sake with the new song his wife liked..then didn't. Spectacular setlist and performance. If he comes near you...GO!
The Jo Ann Davidson Theater is a great place to see an acoustic concert. Very intimate setting. And Jeff Tweedy was incredible- his voice, his guitar, his sense of humor. Kind of a strange crowd, but the music made it all worthwhile.
We can’t wait for Wilco’s return and hearing so many of their songs “naked” was great. Opener Buck Meek was fantastic as well.
James was an amazing opener. Awesome guitar player and funny. Tweedy did not disappoint with both Wilco covers and brand new songs. Tweedy was funny and the crowd interaction was amazing. The venue is awesome as always but the temporary seating in the Egyptian room is very tight.
The man is a fully formed artist. Delightful banter with a well informed crowd
Jeff Tweedy gives a masterclass in acoustic guitar and how to deal with hecklers. The show had an intimate feeling and satisfying setlist. The venue was ideal for this type of show. Go see him and Wilco!
As a huge Wilco fan this was a real treat. Jeff and an acoustic guitar. No band to hide behind, just a true intimate evening listening to the soungs as if you were in his living room over for dinner. The Playhouse was a perfect venue for this, quiet, dark and comfortable. We were asked to experience this evening in person, to turn off our cell phones and luve in the moment. Unbelievably 99.9% of the attendees complied and you could hear a pin drop most of the time. Spectacular. Jeff's unique sense of humor was on display all evening and the banter between songs was truly entertaining and special too. Thank you Jeff and the Parker Playhouse for putting on a great evening.
Jeff Tweedy is as charming as he is a musical genius. The concert was held at the Parker Playhouse, an old theatre from the 1960s has kept all its old school charm. Jeff Tweedy shined. He sang songs like a Jeff Tweedy fan would sing them, with effort, love and no regard. One of my favorite solo shows ever.
His ability to craft a song vividly and cleverly is second to none. The honesty is his performance connects with the audience. The Parker Playhouse is a perfect venue for the intimate event he creates. Bravo Jeff. You never cease to amaze and surprise. Well done.
I was disappointed when I got to the Parker Playhouse and realized the show was acoustic. Boy, was I wrong. This was one of THE BEST SHOW'S I have ever seen. Mr. Tweedy sounded AMAZING, he was funny and engaging and played a variety of songs from his long career. I highly recommend seeing this show if it comes to your town.
Great show. Terrific performance from the best songwriter of the last 25 years. Great set list. Very funny too
Great venue with an awesome crowd and the staff was very friendly!
We loved it! It was our first time at the venue--Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The opener was excellent--amazing guitarist. Jeff Tweedy was superb. He played a lot of the songs we wanted to hear and exposed us to some newer ones that made us want to buy the CD at the merchandise table. We brought our 9 year old which was our mistake. He enjoyed what he was able to stay awake for--way past bedtime on a school night after the time change. We look forward to seeing JT again and catching another show at PVCH.
Excellent show and a great experience at the Lyric Theater.
Jeff Tweedy and his guitars. The Lyric Theater is a great venue for an acoustic show. Jeff Tweedy has a beautiful voice.
Really enjoyed the evening with non-stop music, good humor and the Lyric Theatre is a great venue.
