  • Led Zeppelin Experience, truely great experience!

by rwreckless on 11/3/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Jason Bonham would have made his father proud. Beat for beat, note for note, and kicking some ass just like the originals!! These guys were just fantastic. The singer sounded out of this world. A Robert Plant double for sure. And the lead gituar player was as close to Jimmy Page as they get. Very entertaining to say the least. And the base player did a wonderful job recreating John Paul Jones's awesome booming base. I was very delighted to watch these gentlemen perform with such accuracy, and so true to the original sound. I would deffinately recommend this show to any true rock lover!

Jason Bonham shared his talent, his life and his father this evening. The band playing Led Zeppelin songs couldn't have been any better! What an amazing and unforgettable concert! Thank you, Jason! It was everything and more!

I was not expecting such a great show!! Jason Bonham really did this right. Great tribute to his father and Led Zep!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bonham's Zepp experience brought the thunder!!

by Dejonna on 11/2/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

The whole show musically was superb, stayed true to album format w/o any silly interpertations to the songs. A true tribute. At times a little hard to pick-up vocals because the musical storm was beastly, as it should be, way better than any cover band could dream of doing. Could close your eyes at some points and feel the 70's eerily all over again. A little surprised at the turnout. Thought the show would sellout, maybe the price was a little steep, but our seats were great and COMFORTABLE (maybe getting a little to old to stand and rock all night) Jason and the entire crew should be extremely proud and hats off to Tony, Michael, James, and Stephan for bringing it!!!

  • JBLZE rocked Detroit!!!

by shubby on 11/2/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Gotta admit I was prepared for a tribute band and my expectations were not too high. Initially, I was impressed by the personalization of the show; very heartfelt and emotional. It didn't come off as an attempt to capitalize. The setlist was amazing and really captured Bonham's talent. The rest of the band was quite impressive...I did not see Zeppelin in the 70's but I could imagine that this show was pretty close. The venue was perfect, not too large. The crowd was diverse from long hair to grey hair to no hair and a few kids, surprisingly. This show had me rocking in my seat, cheering on my feet and feeling satisfied. A "Must See" for every Zeppelin fan. I'll be watching for Part 2!

  • Led Zep Experience was....well an experience

by PeoplesCM on 11/2/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

Great musicians that need to work on tightening up. Loved the history. Overall worth while but not as great as I had hoped. Jason was great on the skins. Rest of band had great moments which showed their musicianship but again....tighten up guys we paid hard earned bucks.

  • A true Experience!

by dragonman on 11/1/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I originally wasn't that excited about going to this show. I had seen the real thing at Cobo Hall in Detroit for the Stairway to Heaven tour in the early 70's, so... My daughter and wife kinda talked me into it. Man, am I glad they did! Jason drums as good as his dad ever did. All through the show, he'd give little talks about growing up with John, the band, and what it was like. The Experience was truly a labor of love for him, and it showed. The band was tight as they could be. More than once I closed my eyes, and could easily visualize Zep up there in all their glory. Every song was dead-on perfect. Well, except for (surprisingly) the encore tune, "Whole Lotta Love". That one was a bit messy. Seeing as they'd just played for three hours with one twenty-minute intermission, though, all can easily be forgiven. Vocals were simply amazing, as were the bass and lead guitar. Jason's drums I've already said, were fantastic. The keyboards were the least of all, but still damn good. Sorry I can't remember all the players' names. They truly deserve recognition. All in all, I give this show the highest recommendation possible. Go see this show!!!! If you love the music of Led Zeppelin, if you're too young to have been able to have seen them, if you have seen them (there were quite a few of us old-time rockers there), see this and be impressed! Rock n Roll like I've not heard in many years!

  • LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE

by veteran on 11/1/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I almost decided not to go - i was questioning the talent (musicians). As it turned out - i did go - and it was an awesome, awesome show. Jason Bonham & the band really did his father & Led Zeppelin justice. If you're looking for any criticism - they only missed perfection buy 1%. They were so good - i almost thought i was at a Led Zeppelin concert. Led Zeppelin was my first concert ever - 1977 the Pontiac Silverdome. Their music was a large part of life - sure, i could sing it word for word. It truly is the REAL definition (in my opinion) of REAL - 'ROCK & ROLL'. YOU'LL LOVE THIS SHOW - ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A ZEPPELIN FAN. 'FRITO'

  • Most incredible concert!

by WimCinci on 11/1/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Jason Bonham was so awesome live. I have been a Led Zeppelin fan for 30 years. I was going to see them in concert at the age of 13, but unfortunate Bonzo died that fall. I was devastated over his death, he was my ideal. I grew up playing my drums to Zep! I cried just seeing the love Jason had for his father. He was a big part in Jason's life. Jason truly put his heart and soul in this concert. He wanted his dad to be proud of what he accomplished as a percussionist. Well Jason, "I can absolutely say that your father is proud of what you have done." It was the best concert I have seen , and I have seen many concerts. It was as if you were seeing Zeppelin in concert. Wonderful job Jason, and his band. It would be a dream come true to met Jason Bonham in person. Thank you Jason for the experience of a life time.

  • Amazing Led Zeppelin Experience!

by LedZeppelinSuperFan on 11/1/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I loved it! I knew it was going to be pretty good, but it really rocked my socks off. I wish I could go again. I've never experienced anything like it. The songs were comparable to Led Zeppelin performing them. And the story side of it was very intriguing and captivating. The lights and background visuals were really perfectly in-sync with the songs, adding another element to the show which complimented the overall experience.

    by Miley24 on 11/1/10Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Jason thank you so much for letting Detroit share your memories of your father and the great Led Zeppelin. The concert was more than I had expected. The sound was right on the money and your band was truly amazing. When I closed my eyes throughout the concert I felt as if I was listening to the original Led Zeppelin. What a wonderful experience and joy it was!!! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!!!

  • LedZeppelin experience was forgettable!!

by ZeppFreek on 11/1/10Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

OK, we're still in a state of disbelief on how AWESOME the guitarist was, ...& how AMAZING Jason was on the drums, ...& how disappointed we were with the vocals that sounded totally distorted and washed-out?? Shocked by this quality in what we thought would be a high-calibre venue?? Bottom-line, guessing we got our 'moneys worth' with our $ 71.00 tickets (with charges & fees!!) for this event?? Certainly had hoped for much more!!

The show was excellent. The staff was really friendly and efficient, the wait times were very reasonable and the show itself was incredable. Jason has done his father proud.
