Two words---Flipping Fantastic!!! I haven't had that much fun in a long time. They were great. A must see. :)
I saw Led Zepplin in 1975 (I think) and they were a huge dissapointment. Plant's voice was blown, Page was sloppy and the sound was poor. I have always loved the music and I saw Jason play with Joe Bonamassa at the Muni in Riverside to Debut Black Country Comunion. I thought this could be good, and it was. They were awesome. It was also cool to see old footage of Jason with his Dad. Great concert, great venue.
All I can say is WOW!!!!! What a great show. I am not a huge Zeppelin fan, but it was amazing. Full of energy, would definitely go again. Awesome!
Jason Bonham and his bandmates put on and incredible show. Each song was spot on, and sounded just like the original. Jason is so genuine in his quest to honor his father. The sound was superb due to the building being so old and well built After the show, I overheard several comments from other fans like "They killed it", so I would say that everyone in attendance was very impressed as well. Keep on rocking, Jason. You are doing your dad proud!
They sounded amazing, flawless, wish they would of played more songs but they played for a good 2 1/2 , 3 hours, I would definitely go again , James ( the singer) was Robert plant minus the hair , it was definitely unexpected go to virtual Zeppelin on YouTube blew me away. Great show.!
The best tribute concert I have ever been to Jason flavored the LZ music with personal moments about his father that gave you insight into the band, the man and the music. The musicianship of everyone involved was outstanding and they were totally on their game. Jason was incredibly personable and when he spoke you felt as if he was addressing you personally. You love to see a band that just isn't playing the music but is enjoying every minute of playing. This wasn't missed by the crowd who provided numerous standing ovations. Oh and they played for almost 3 hours. The Fox venue in Riverside was OUTSTANDING. This was the first time I had visited the Fox since they completed the renovation and it was awesome. The decor of the building was tremendous the staff was professional and appropriate. The viewing was great from every seat in the house since the venue has a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Bottom line - Led Zepplin music, played by someone that is passionate, surrounded by great musicians in a beautiful venue. Go see it
excellent musicians. If you like Led Zeppelin you must see that show, they sound just like them.
Show was great. It is the closest you can come to seeing Led Zepplin perform. If you love rock then this show will keep you entertained.
Absolutely incredible. The music was amazing. Jason's interaction with the crowd was great and James nailed it with his vocals. I would definately see them again!
I have seen Jason play several times now, once with Foreigner. Jason has a talent everyone must see. The show was spectacular and one of the best I have seen. I have been to many! The band was excellent and you could close your eyes and feel you were right there with Led Zeppelin and Bonzo! I had the privelage of seeing Led Zeppelin live in 1969, back when we sat on the floor around the stage and you could dance five feet away from the stage. Jason honoring his father John Bonham was very touching and gave me goosebumps. He is so humble and warm. I loved it when he brought his sister on to play the harmonica. They played every great song and mastered every song, I could have stayed for 10 more hours! Thank you Jason for a spectacular evening and LOVED the vintage film playing behind you!
Highly recommended! I want to see it again... This was not a cheesy tribute band, this was a heartfelt tribute of his Dad's band great job Jason.
Highly recommended, the band rocked the house and had everyone on their feet rocking out.. I and my husband got a tear in our eyes when Bonham talked of his dad, Bonzo; very emotional... The effect were outstanding!!! Loved it, had a great experience...
What a Great concert! John would be proud of his son!
Closest you'll get to the real thing. All the flavor, half the calories. Highly recommended (seriously)
Jason's Dad would have been proud. A fantastic and fun show, the musicality was superb, the drumming was fantastic and the band was top notch. Put down a tribute to Led Zeppelin without over doing it. Go see this if it is anywhere near where you live
Very emotional show. 2 hours and 45 of music!! Would recommend it to any Zeppelin fan!
I never had the opportunity to see Zeppe back in th day. I have seen Plant and Page several times. I have also seen several Led Zeppelin tribute bands. Jason Bonham is NONE of those. He is however his fathers son ! He has the style and ability of John Bonham, that NO other drummer I have ever seen, possesses. To really play a tribute to Led Zeppelin, you have to do more than just learn the music. You have to have a feeling for what that music meant to all the fans. Jason Bonham definitely has this as well as an ability to play all these songs. He had an extraordinary band who also knew the music and had the same feeling for it as he does. Seeing how much of a fan he is of their music and of his fathers ability, came across as very genuine openess with the crowd. The concert took a very laidback aproach, almost as if they were playing for you in your own livingroom. The thing they did do however is keep a tight schedule. They came out promptly at 8:00 and even had a countdown on the screen, for their 15 min. intermission. Without having an opening act, we were treated to 2 1/2 hours of some of the choicest Zeppelin library of music. My only dissapointment, if you could call it that, was that it didn't last longer. Jason eluded to future tours, and I would definitely see him and his band again. The crowd was very enthusiastic and joined right in singing all their favorite tunes. WHAT A SHOW !!!!!!
The sound was good, and song coverage was excellent. I saw the Experience in Jacksonville, FL. I was skeptical with Bonham being accompanied by "No-Names" but they were good. I took people that knew little about Led Zeppelin and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Definitely would recommend the trip. I'm not sure I would pay as much money for it though...I am a starving graduate student. Sitting farther away from the stage had a slight visual deficiency, but made the volume much more enjoyable. For the end of the show I slipped into closer seats and found the music, REALLY LOUD!
Even better than I thought it would be! Jason assembled a top notch group of musicians for this production. The lead singer, James Dylan, is not just a Robert Plant copycat -- he has tremendous range and a commanding stage presence. Check out some of James' early work with "Virtual Zeppelin" on YouTube. Jason did a great job of paying tribute to his father and the great music Zeppelin created. The home movies of Jason playing drums and dancing around as a 4-year old were a cool peek into the Bonham household. I hope that Jason will do another Led Zeppelin Experience tour soon. If he does, don't miss it!
I found out about this by accident...Led Zepplin is one of our favorite bands of all time. I wasn't sure about seeing a tribute band, but after reading the reviews, I decided to buy the tickets. And I'm so glad I did! I strongly recommend this show to all Led Zepplin lovers...it was GREAT! The lead singer sounded a lot like Robert Plant, the lead guitarist was sensational and Jason Bonham was terrific! I especially liked the amount of time JBLZE played. It was definitely worth the money!
