Awful! It was a cruise ship-level cabaret that started with a schlocky jazz band and muddled through mediocre performances by a Frank Sinatra wannabe to stumble into a garbled world of Jane Lynch's warbling and barrel bottom humor. What a waste of an evening.

    We were disappointed........

by JnJK on 3/28/15Birchmere - Alexandria

The show was billed as an evening with Jane Lynch - so we naturally expected some stand up comedy, some funny songs - a bit of Broadway music from her time in Annie. It's really not like that. The first act was a quintet that played 1940's/1950's music. The second act is Tim Davis (vocal coordinator for Glee). You'd think with that Glee credit, he'd be all about the music from Glee that we loved for so many years. Not so. His three songs were, again, from the 40's/50's. When Jane Lynch finally appears, she brings with her Kate Flannery (from The Office) and Tim Davis. There is some humor, but not enough; there are songs, but primarily songs we haven't heard. In fairness, the night should be billed as "An Evening with Jane Lynch and Tim Davis and Kate Flannery". We really wanted to love this show, but it just didn't work.

    Almost

by Willaz on 3/28/15Birchmere - Alexandria

Jane Lynch has a wonderful voice and stage presence and I'd like to see her in a Broadway show. For a cabaret type show it lacked the personal connection of stories and jokes between numbers. Also it was only an hour long for $90 ticket. Steep. It's pleasant.

Lots of money - Less than an Hour ??

by Lmeberhart on 3/27/15Birchmere - Alexandria

I want to start by saying I like Jane Lynch. I think she is very talented. I was really excited to see what she was going to do. She looked great - and was up for the show. I think $100 was a lot of money - for about an hour worth of show. The overall performance was funny at times - and Kate Flannery was downright hysterical! I was not at all impressed with Tim David. I don't think he added anything to the show at all. I would have liked to see more of Jane (and Kate) they had great chemistry and I thought they did a great job!

Way over priced for 1 hour show. Show was billed as jane lynch but you had to read fine print to find out that it was a cabaret show. Was waste of time and money

    Jane Lynch Sings show tunes

by PsychoMagnet on 3/27/15Birchmere - Alexandria

Jane has a wonderful voice and it was enjoyable evening, but I don't know if I would pay $100/ticket to hear her sing. I was expecting stand up comedy, she is funny as can be, but it loses something in song.

    Funny but Short

Overall the show was funny, but at 1 1/2 hours not sure it was worth the money.

Not what I expected, but very good

    by Jazz1234567 on 3/11/15Centennial Hall - Tucson

I really enjoyed the songs and the interplay between Jane and the other two people. It wasn't what I expected...I figured it would be more Glee-like. The tunes performed were of interest to an older audience. I'm part of the older crowd and I adored the jazz band that opened the concert and the man who sang jazz standards a la Frank Sinatra. This was a benefit concert for a college organization. Many of the college aged people left after the first few of Jane's numbers. It also felt weird to come to a concert billed as See Jane Sing and not see her for the first 45 minutes. If it had been billed as Jane and Friends it would have been more clear.

    Original and refreshing

by Sharvoni on 3/11/15Centennial Hall - Tucson

What a treat to see and hear Jane Lynch. She is original and refreshing. Her side remarks and puns are just the right amount. Jane gave alot and works best with her troupe. I have always enjoyed her singing voice and would like to hear her more.

    See Jane Sing was great

by TucsonIsTerrific on 3/11/15Centennial Hall - Tucson

The show is a mix of the back-up band, Jane herself and special guests. All were excellent. Her original songs -- tongue in cheek take-offs on the clichés of big band and modern music -- are very, very funny and clever; she is a good stylist with the songs she covers, and the band is excellent. My only complaint was that it was SO loud that I had to stick fingers in my ears to really hear the words, but that might have been a function of how the show was produced for the venue. A wonderful 90 minutes; highly recommended.

Jane Lynch has definitely been funnier

    by Serene7777 on 3/11/15Centennial Hall - Tucson

Anybody can have a bad night or show... Would give her/another live performance one more try. Probably just gonna stick to Glee.

Not at all what I was expecting

by unusualart on 3/11/15Centennial Hall - Tucson

I like Jayne Lynch but this show was horrible. I was expecting something funny with music mixed in. I ended up with a show that was Jayne and her friends singing songs that were mostly from the 'good old days'. I went with my husband. We left early. If you are expecting any humor, you won't get any at this show. I definitely wouldn't plan on going if you are under about 70.
