About

SOME SHOWS YOU SEE. THIS SHOW YOU FEEL.

Joy, love, heartache, strength, wisdom, catharsis, LIFE--everything we've been waiting to see in a Broadway show-- is here in the exhilarating, fearless new musical based on Alanis Morissette's world-changing music.

Directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Waitress, Pippin, upcoming 1776) with a Tony-winning book by Diablo Cody (Juno) and Grammy-winning score, this electrifying production about a perfectly imperfect American family "vaults the audience to its collective feet" (The Guardian). "Redemptive, rousing and real, JAGGED LITTLE PILL stands alongside the original musicals that have sustained the best hopes of Broadway." (The New York Times)

You live, you learn, you remember what it's like to feel truly human... at JAGGED LITTLE PILL.

    Save your money

Save your money, poorly produced and substandard rookie performers. Save your money and stay home.

Good, but deep and very “woke”

by Michelle on 4/30/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

Alanis’ songs were put together very creatively. Acting and singing was pretty good, actress that played MJ was amazing. I love Alanis’ music and admittedly didn’t know very much about the story the story going into it. It was pretty deep - addiction (which I expected by name, but also rape). Very “woke”, which I wasn’t expecting and am just over. I don’t care what gender the love interests are, but it just felt too political and forced…pushing a liberal, woke agenda. Audience seemed split…if you’re liberal and into woke culture, you’ll love it. Others, may not enjoy. I’m a middle aged suburban mom attending with several other middle aged moms, the perfect target audience, and while we appreciated the acting and enjoyed the creativity of making the songs into the story, it just missed the mark for us.

    great talent; poor sound system

by jim on 4/26/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

The cast was very talented. Singing was terrific. Only problem was when anyone went 'full throat" (singing at full volume) the sound system blurred the words they sung. Dancing very good as well.

    One of the best shows!

by Mark on 4/26/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

One of the best shows i have seen. All the performers were outstanding especially the character of Jo. Would see it again if it didn't leave Chicago.

    Awesome Musical Experience

by Mark on 4/26/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

The story line aligned to Alanis Morissette’s music was perfect! Trust me. Go see it ~ any generation above age 18 can relate. The entire production and cast were fantastic. “Little Jagged Pill” will have you thinking about your own life …in a way as each scene and song is acted out.

Great show - enjoyed the suite add on

by HillaryH on 4/26/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

We came as part of a girls weekend meetup in Chicago - the suite service was a fun add on that gave us easy restroom and bar access. The show itself was very well done - enjoyed nostalgic music with a contemporary story line.

    Blown away!

by MRZ Chicago on 4/25/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

What an amazing show! It was moving, funny, sad, and exhilarating. The performances were all amazing and the story brought all the songs to life (and vise bears). Highly recommended!

    Better musical than performance

by Big fan on 4/25/23James M. Nederlander Theatre - Chicago

Cool story. Not sure if they were fill-ins but some of the singing/dancing felt sloppy compared to what you’d normally see in a performance like this. Still was better than not going!
