JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE IN CONCERT:
Legendary '80s outfit Great White continues to carry the torch for glammed-up hard rock under the name Jack Russell's Great White, performing to sold-out crowds around the country with a rotating lineup that boasts original frontman Jack Russell. The indomitable Russell has surrounded himself with a prodigiously talented group of players, and the band always does justice to favorites like "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and "House of Broken Love" at their adrenaline-filled live shows. Fans of arena rock looking for an outsized concert experience look no further: Jack Russell's Great White always takes the stage with showmanship and bombast to spare.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Great White formed in Los Angeles in 1977 and initially performed under a variety of monikers including Highway, Livewire, and Dante Fox. After several lineup changes, they hit their stride in the early '80s and changed their name to Great White -- a nod to guitarist Mark Kendall's natural platinum blonde hair and signature all-white stagewear. A debut EP released in 1982 received heavy airplay in Los Angeles, making them local heroes and landing them a record deal with EMI. They released their self-titled debut album on the label in 1984, making their first appearance on the rock chart with the modest hit "Stick It". Mainstream success came with the 1987 release of their third album Once Bitten, a platinum-certified record that contained the Top 10 rock hits "Rock Me" and "Save Your Love". High-profile tours with Whitesnake, Judas Priest, and Dokken continued to fuel their popularity, paving the way for a string of big-selling albums released in the late '80s and early '90s. After a roster shakeup in the early '00s claimed several of the band's longtime members, Jack Russell continued to play the group's classic hits as Jack Russell's Great White. He carries on the band's legacy today, treating ticket buyers to career-spanning sets of Great White's classic hard rock tunes on tour.
Excellent show!! Been waiting a long time for this show!!
I love Bogart’s it is a great place to see shows great white and bullet boys to my surprise were great sometimes with older bands you never know if they are going to be washed up not either of these bands both had great shows totally professional
What a great show in a remarkable , unique venue ! I always upgrade to VIP , go upstairs to the cool lounge for a drink , then watch the show with a killer view and high quality audio , Enuff Z’Nuff rocked and Great White was amazing ! The singer’s voice sounded every bit as good as it did 30 years ago . Great set list too !
Promoted as a hair nation tour.. nothing like it. Ended up being bands that did their own original music. Sirius failed on the promotion of the music to be played
Jack’s voice was Amazing!! He rocked and his band rocked it!! This band never disappoints when you go see them live!! Love them!! Bullet Boys are Back!! Marq is Back!! The band he put together for this tour is Amazing!! Keep this group together!! Marq’s Energy was out of this world, we never stopped moving!! He nailed it every time!! I was so very impressed this time seeing them!! Just Awesome!! Enuff z Nuff was great too. Came late only seen their last two songs. But, they were awesome. Love Chip!! XOXO
Great concert!! I love Great White! Love to see them again!!
Shark Family if you get a chance to go Go VIP it's ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!!!!
Love the song Rock Me. Will always stand the test of time. Love the Bullet Boys as well
This show was part of the "Eddie Trunk Hair nation Tour" which included Bulletboys and Enuff Z'Nuff. I know this review is for Jack Russell's "Great White" but I thought it would be important to mention that the stage was shared by three vintage bands. That being said times have changed considerably in thirty+ years...our youth has passed us by...but thankfully Marc and Jack are still singing for "their" respective bands. As most fans are aware...this is Jack's version of "Great White" and he is the only member of the classic line-up. I'm a long-time Great White fan...seeing Jack perform these songs six other times throughout the years...and I'm here to testify that Jack has nailed the vintage GW sound by recruiting some very talented musicians for the band. I have and very much recommend their recent album "He Saw It Comin'" which showcases what the band is capable of outside of the classic Great White music. I had expected the set list to have included some of the "new" stuff (which would have been fine) but pleasantly surprised when the set consisted of many of Great White's all-time best plus Tom Petty's "I Need To Know". I have to say that Jack is looking and sounding much better than he did a few years ago - which maybe could lead to another classic line-up reunion? I'm a fan either way...highly recommended!
Enuff Znuff rocked the joint to the rafters.Chip does a great job on vox and is a great guy met and graciously took a few picks outside the venue before the show.Chip definitely has the right guys together to do the old stuff justice and to rock some really good new stuff.Donnie is missed but not as much as in the past versions of the band.Bravo Chip you are hittin it brother!Expected Bulletboys to be the best band on the bill but their whole set and sound was drowned out by too choppy, punky guitars and Torien's ego.Turn down the guitars and turn up the vocals.Cant really tell if Marc still can sing his vox were mixed too low.He desparately needs a better lead guitarist as a foil the guy he has is kinda a yawn. His drummer was killing it tho.Great White was way better than expected. The band is really tight.Jack still has his magnificent pipes although he appears a bit frail. He seems really into playing and very appreciative that we were there to see them.Jack is a walking talking inspiration to us all that rock keeps us alive.Even his slightly comical dance/stage moves tho random were cool as hell.Thouroughly enjoyed hearing all the old songs esp. Face the Day.Tony Montana aka secret weapon bro.Michael Lardie who? Totally, sans Bulletboys,a great show.Thank you Chip and thank you Jack Russell.
Enuff Z Nuff and Great White were awesome! Bulletboys sound was awful though. Guitar was out of tune and couldnt hear vocals. Chip Z Nuff was soooo gracious with the fans!! He was greeting us as each fan left the venue with a sincere thank you. Just love him as a human! It was really a great night!
Jack Russell Great White sounded amazing. He still has such a great voice. So happy I was there to see them again.
Jacks’s voice was strong as ever but the band was so amazing. They were better then when i saw the original line up back in 1989
I have now seen both Great White bands within this year and it is without a doubt, they need to put differences aside and get back together with Jack Russell belting the famous lyrics!
First of all Enuff Z'nuff and Bullet Boys as openers were awesome! Then Great White tore the house down. Yeah, Jack Russell looks rough, but he still has that great voice and the band was excellent. All in all a great bargain to see 3 super bands!
If you haven't seen Jack and the boys you haven't seen a Rock~n~Roll show. Jack is sounding better than ever and the rest of the bands playing is top-notch.
Jack and the whole band were on point. Tony Montana on guitar. Astounding. I love House of Blues Orlando.
Honestly didnt go or stay to see great white. Went to see Enuff Z Nuff. Still got it Chip is a true Rockstar and very much appreciative of his fans!!!
Despite several injuries throughout the band members, Great White rocked! The opening bands came back to join in on the fun, too, and were very open to meeting the fans.
All three bands were fantastic, it was a great night. They played a lot of good music and had some great fun with lots of friends and the atmosphere is awesome at the house of blues.
