Small venue BIG show. Played a lot of her new music. AWESOME!! And then kicked it old skool with the Rockabilly.

  • Amazing Voice

    by Runner91607 on 3/12/17Teragram Ballroom - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Good to know there are singers out there who can actually sing. No auto tune needed! Imelda's voice is amazing. Extremely powerful one minute, soft and gentle the next. The band was fantastic as well. My first time there, but the Teragram Ballroom is a great space to see a concert. Overall a great show and experience.

  • Amazing

    by Amo776 on 8/9/14Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Both Imelda and the Birchmere were amazing! Imelda live sounds as good as a studio recording. The Birchmere's setup made for an intimate setting and the table service was the cherry on top.

  • Fantastic show

by NavyHutch on 8/5/14Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Venue was kind of odd for a musical show. Seated side of Birchmere. I'm not sure why they were not on the big stage so people could dance.

  • Incredible show

    by bee2046 on 8/4/14Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act Jumping Jupiter set the stage for Imelda and her band. It was a very polished act, all the members showed great skills in their specialty.

  • by Screwtop on 8/4/14Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

She was incredible! Great sound, and her backing band is equally talented. Good show for kids as well - there were several there and she was appreciative that they got to hear her.

  • That's entertainment!

by billcuz on 8/4/14Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Great singer, great stage presence, charismatic, funny, very easy on the eyes, fun music, and, you know, a great singer. Plus a great band. Drummer is fantastic. Great rhythm section. Imelda May was a little freaked, I think, by the intimacy of the Birchmere -- no talking or dancing, so people just look at you, and they're right there in front of you. She warmed up to the scene, though, and then really seemed to enjoy herself. As did everyone else.

  • Imelda rocks!

by fulamuso on 8/4/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

She's funny and talented, her band is awesome, she's got some lungs on her I tell ya! All round great fun!

  • The best concert I've seen in close to 10 years!!!

    by GoNavy60 on 8/4/14Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

First saw Imelda and the boys on Later with Jools Holland where she put Katy Perry to shame. This concert proves she is formidable power to be reckoned with. She and her band are the best rockabilly performers I've heard in that genre in more than 2 decades. Truly enjoyed this concert. The venue was PERFECT. If you get a chance to see her, DO NOT MISS IT!!

  • Imelda May=Awesome!

by Mogulsmar on 8/4/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

What can you say, it's Imelda May, she is singing perfection. If you like Rockabilly type music this is for you, if you like great singing talent this is for you. Such a pleasure to see such a big star in a little, close up venue. Paradise rock club isn't the best venue I've ever seen, but good enough. Tough to get a good view cuz it's so flat, and the stage is not much higher than the floor, viewing is just so so.

  • Imelda May was amazing!!!

There is just so much talent here - words cannot express. Her voice is great, songs are catchy and lyrics are meaningful. She delivers vocally but also has great rapport with the audience. And the band is superb. Very danceable too and fun. Too many favorites...the whole show was great!
