IF/THEN is a contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in this city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth’s life splits into two parallel paths. IF/THEN follows both stories simultaneously as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.
IF/THEN is recommended for ages 12 and up for strong language and adult themes. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. The performance begins promptly at the time noted on your ticket. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.
Idina is simply amazing every time! Lachanze, JennCollella, James, Anthony, Tamika, Jason, ryann, pretty much the whole cast is a joy to watch! So much energy in the theater! Unforgettable experience!
Such a great play! Everything from set design, to music, score and performance was unbelievable. I flew out to NYC just to watch the show on closing night. I was interested in this show because of the storyline and music alone; Idina Menzel headlining was a plus. Her performance exceeded my expectations and made me fan. The entire cast is incredibly talented and had great stage chemistry. The emotion that was poured into this performance was felt throughout the theater. The Richard Rodgers theater was also a great venue. It's very quaint and historic. Was well worth the trip! I'm excited that this play will be touring nationally and hope that it continues to gain a following.
I have always wanted to see Idina Menzel in person and she didn't disappoint. I also loved the story line. It truly spoke to my heart
If/Then was amazing! I loved the plot and the entire cast was jaw-dropping.
It was so much emotion in the show and I couldn't have been more happy to of seen it. It was my second time only because I couldn't let my first time be my last time. I love seeing the cast together and all of the chemistry is just wonderful. The songs are unforgettable and what I wouldn't do to see them all back together. Idina was so good, the beginning line of the musical is "hey it's me," Idina received a five minute standing ovation in between "hey" and "it's me." Great show!! Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey were there, so of course we could all thank them for the amazing gift that was "If/Then: A New Musical."
This show was outstanding. The set its self was beautiful and impressive. I was wowed by the whole production, loved the actors and actresses, and left humming the songs.
I have had the opportunity to see many Broadway musicals but nothing really can compare to seeing Idina Menzel and the cast of If/Then on the Stage of the Richard Rodgers Theater. The story the songs and the message all tie together to simply bring out as beautiful as a show as one can witness. Being able to see Idina Menzel at the top of her game in her true element is something that i would recommend to anyone and an experience that I am soon to never forget.
To say I'm a fan of the show would be an understatement. Layered, beautifully performed and best score ever! If you get the chance to see it, RUN don't walk!!
Finial show of If/Then was amazing! We were blown away by the songs, the acting and the increadable emotions in the vocals! Blessed to have been able to share the experiance with my daughter!
I went to see this show as I am an rabid fan of Idina Menzel, but the story grips you and holds you until the very end. Anthony Rapp was amazing, as usual, and you immediately fall in love with the other characters. Idina was obviously the star and for good reason. She hit notes on that stage that made me cry and gave me chills.
My daughter and I enjoyed everything about this show! A wonderful experience!
So sad to see this show close and Idina end another chapter in her amazing career. My understanding is that the show is going on tour and I would definitely recommend it. The story line is engaging, relatable, unpredictable, amusing, emotional and inspiring.
If/Then is the most perfect show! Great songs, great book, wonderful cast, great choreography and set... If you get the chance to see it on tour- don't think twice, buy that ticket!
Idina Menzel could power NYC with her voice alone! The whole cast was incredible and the show was a beautiful story. Very sad it's run is up.
Idina Menzel gave the performance of a lifetime. I have seen this show 6 times and this last and final performance was beyond phenomenal. I loved every single moment and did not want the show to end. Seeing it on the final performance was memorable. The story hits home to many people. It is realistic and eye opening. The music, lyrics, crew, and CAST did an amazing job. This musical will be greatly missed. Idina Menzel is a legend and everyone who had the opportunity to see her in this role is lucky. Thank you If/Then Musical for making me realize everyday you can start new.
The best 2.5 hours of my life - hands down. Original cast on Broadway, beautiful story, powerful songs… cried at the beginning and end. Overwhelmed.
Idina Menzel and Anthony Rapp together again. What a show. Because it was their last performance ( and everyone else's) they put all they had in them in each and every song. Wow! Brought us to our feet more than 5 times. We're so glad we were there for that last performance!
Cannot explain just how much this show meant to me. I saw it 3 times and loved every experience I had. Highly recommend!
