Hugh Jackman on Tour
If you thought Hugh Jackman the action hero was entertaining, wait till you meet Hugh Jackman the song-and-dance man. If the Australian performer is a man of few (mostly grumpy) words as Hollywood's Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, onstage he is sophisticated charm personified, as demonstrated in his latest solo showcase, Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show.
Jackman has alternated between stage and screen his entire career. TV provided his first professional experience when Jackman was tapped for a role in the Australian series Correlli the very 1995 night he graduated from Sydney's Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. He first made his mark abroad in the leading role of Curly in the Royal National Theatre's celebrated production of Oklahoma! The West End production earned him an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
Jackman first put on his Wolverine talons in 2000 for Bryan Singer's X-Men. That led to subsequent appearances in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, among other sequels and prequels, ending with Logan in 2017. He also played lead roles in the romantic-comedy fantasy Kate & Leopold and magic-themed The Prestige. His performance as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables led to a 2012 Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Jackman's role as P.T. Barnum in 2017's The Greatest Showman provided the seed for his one-man extravaganza The Man. The Music. The Show. It features music from the record-breaking original motion picture soundtrack, performed by a live orchestra alongside talented dancers. It also includes audience favorites from Jackman's prior shows, Back on Broadway (2011) and Broadway to Oz (2015).
All of these career retrospectives provide slide-show and video glimpses into Jackman's family life, involve one-on-one audience interactions, and reprise his glittery Tony Award-winning musical-theater portrayal of flamboyant Australian entertainer Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.
A philanthropist with a longtime interest in microcredit (the extension of very small loans to support entrepreneurship and alleviate poverty), Jackman also serves as an advisor to the Global Poverty Project, which imagines the end of poverty within a generation.

Hugh Jackman entertained, shared with us his background and truly enjoyed entertaining us and showed his affection for the audience.
He was such a talent. Dancing, set, the variety. Such a “Showman”!!! He made the large venue very intimate.
Wonderful show - what a gentleman enjoyed every moment!
Hugh Jackman is the greatest showman! He danced, sang, and thoroughly entertained the audience for over 2 hours. It was his birthday so he even got some surprises. It was obvious that his cast and crew, as well as his family, love him. He was gracious to everyone and interacted with the audience. I loved it!
Hugh Jackman has a way of drawing the audience in and making you a part of the show. He actually is “the greatest showman”.
Seats were great, music fantastic, talented dancers, musicians, enjoyed a magical evening.
Hugh is such an incredible performer! Amazing show!!!!
The only thing I would do different is have another stand to purchase his t-shirts, etc. One stand is just not enough to accommodate everyone. Otherwise, outstanding show!
Great show with a variety of music, dance and entertainment. Jackman is truly a showman with a great stage presence and genuine personality. The show was a production not just a concert. He interacted with the audience, especially some children, and seemed to enjoy the crowd. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and feel we got a little extra since it was his birthday. There was a surprise shout out from his wife and family via facetime (or something) and a birthday tribute from the crew. He was surprised and very grateful. He had amazing dancers and musicians. I would highly recommend seeing his show if it comes to a venue near you!
Hugh seems to be a once in a lifetime talent...acting, singing, dancing, etc. His show was perfect. The powerful songs of Les Miz and Greatest Showman...with some classic Hollywood numbers. Entertainment at its best. Plus, since it was his birthday, it added some special elements to the show. We hope he tours again.
The show, the venue and of course The Man himself Hugh Jackman were all Amazing!!
This show was AWESOME!!! My daughter loved it, I loved it... Keala being there... Hugh’s birthday.... it was great!! He truly loves what he does and it shows. I would definitely go see him again!!
Such a wonderful performance! What a man! Great great experience!
This actor-singer is so well-rounded. Truly enjoyed seeing this diversity of Mr. Jackman and getting to know him more up close and personal. Wonderful!
my 2nd time to see him performed this year. Just love, love , love him. Not stalking him thought ;-)
We were right next to stage at end of catwalk. He was so Entertaining and was very engaging with his fans. Loved the Keala came out and sang. She blew me away!
Hugh Jackman was absolutely fantastic, but because the arena was so backed up on getting people through security we missed the opening number and then someone was sitting in our seats and we had to wait for a head usher to come and help us. They need more scanners to get people through quickly!
He started his show very promptly which I love & showed much concern for his crew working long hours with no time between shows. Hugh shows he is a wonderfully empathetic & sympathetic entertainer & human. He wows with his talents & engages the crowd as well as noticing the crowd & people in it & expressing thanks to all for sacrifices made in coming. He played for almost 3 hours with a short 20-minute intermission; much longer than the younger entertainers. It was fun to be part of his birthday celebration with calls from his family & Ryan Reynolds. I also loved how he connected us all & his Australian roots & made the crowd feel this instead of all the divisiveness in the world. And Keala Settle added with This Is Me & her new song Harder which is fantastic! I felt emotional & happy the entire show & left feeling better than when I arrived at the Fieldhouse which is what we all need. Highly recommend!!!
It was almost like a Vegas show with dancing, acting, and all other aspects. Great show!!
