  • Holiday Dreams left me looking for the spectacular.

by Hobbles on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 3 out of 5

The show was enjoyable at a basic level. Good show for families especially for a younger audience but lacked the spectacular that would justify the price of tickets. Should charge more than $20 a ticket. Reminded me of a community center show.

  • Ok show

Would have been good to have had a storyline. The clown/ ringmaster was a good entertainer, held the show together.

  • A nice night out. Manage your expectations

by Tracee on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 3 out of 5

This show was fun but it was nowhere in the scale or level if a Cirque de Soleil show. It was the B team of performers that still did a good job for the most part. Each messed up their performances. Not polished. Having seen it, we overpaid.

  • Not that great

    by B-RAD!! on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 1 out of 5

First and foremost the heat was not working well. Paying over 50 a ticket and it felt like I was at a High school talent show at best. We left 2/3rds through the performance! 25 bucks a ticket at best.

  • Extremely overpriced! & the performers under staffed.

by Her on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 2 out of 5

This was a miniature circus, minus the animals. The grandkids have seen similar on YouTube. Way too pricey for us to attend again.

  • Disappointed

by ArBeeStL on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 3 out of 5

Totally my fault, but when I saw “Cirque”, I thought it was Cirque du Soleil, especially with the description. While I appreciate the talent and training that went into the show, it was a far cry from Cirque du Soleil’s caliber. I’ll have to take care to ensure Cirque do Soleil is specifically mentioned in future ads.

It was different than I’ve seen before. Very talented people.

  • B show at high ticket prices

by Jill on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 1 out of 5

My husband and I attended & if we had paid $15.00 per ticket we would have laughed it off as a lesson learned. However, at $75 a ticket it was extremely disappointing. The show had moments of interest but a lot of mistakes for what we paid. We wont go back or recommend to friends.

  • Very Enjoyable

by Jangle on 12/26/22Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 5 out of 5

It was the coldest night of all so general parking was allowed in the VIP section. That was nice. What wasn't nice was trying to juggle gloves, phone (for tickets and parking), small purse, scarf, and earmuffs. I was glad that there really wasn't any line, but by the time we got to our seats, I had lost my earmuffs. My husband left his name and number at Lost and Found, but no call. They were handmade fur earmuffs that my sister had given me years ago. The show itself was very entertaining, and my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves.

  • Holiday Disappointment

by R. J. on 12/22/22Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - HuntsvilleRating: 1 out of 5

I was so disappointed in this Holiday show for Many Reasons. The majority of the show was focused on one elf standing on stage acting stupid. It was NOT funny. The few acrobatics were very short. I was expecting trapezes and acrobatics in the air. The skater, cycle rider were hidden behind the curtains and was not very good. Course was too short. There were only 9 performers, I expected 20 or more. The show was too SHORT for the amount of money I paid for tickets. The entire show was only an hour at the most with a 20 minute intermission that wasn’t necessary. This was our first Cirque du Sol and will be our last. This show was a joke. I took my daughter and granddaughter expecting to have a fun girls night out. Nothing about this show was fun or entertaining. I’m throughly disappointed.

  • Not spectacular.

by No more cirques for me on 12/21/22Rating: 1 out of 5

This show was anything but spectacular. You know how your kids will show you some kind of dance move that is really hardly anything at all and you have to pretend it’s amazing and clap? That’s this show. It looked as though the entire 9 person cast quit and they just picked up some randos that could wear their costumes and said today is your day. Today you take the stage and ride a mini bike on a small ramp. It’s your time to shine. The icicle hat princess’ “One more magical thing to show you” was her turning on her Disney world glow up spinning wand and twirling around the stage (while falling and breaking her icicle hat). The entire show was underwhelming.

  • Terrible show

by Laila on 12/21/22Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - HuntsvilleRating: 1 out of 5

This was total disappointment gor me and my fiancée. We thought it would be a soectskular show Cirque De Soile. It was boring, the background stage lighting was so boring to watch. Few mistakes were made while performing. Tickets were expansive be, so we expected a really impressive show. I don’t know what that was, but watching American Idol would be ten times more interesting.

  • Fun for the Fam

by Terit on 12/21/22Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - HuntsvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Grandkids thought the show was so cool. They really enjoyed it. They really liked the elf clown and his antics. Their favorite parts were the scooter and bikes, toy soldier swinging from rope in the air, optical illusions, the bow and arrow shot by foot and lasers. The whole show kept them entertained. Fun for the whole family!!

  • Some Cool Stuff, Mostly Cringey and Awkward

by NickyName on 12/21/22Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - HuntsvilleRating: 2 out of 5

To start off, I expected the show to be small because I was familiar with the venue. Unlike others, I was never under the impression that this show was affiliated with Cirque du Soleil, so at least my expectations were not that far off. However, they do tout themselves as being "inspired by the grandiosity and lavishness of Vegas shows," so I did expect a bit more entertainment than what I ultimately got. There were no high-wire acts for example, and the show did not have a story to it. In the promotional videos, the overall energy of the show was completely different. There were never more than a few people on the stage at a time, often only one, while the promo videos imply big energy and group numbers. The aerialist hanging by his teeth was probably their best act, but the performance to Little Drummer Boy felt like a weird song choice. I think staying away from songs with religious references to Christmas would be in the best interest of this show or at least use an instrumental version. The most uncomfortable part of this show was the (lack of) audience reaction. The music seems to all be in the front of the theatre so from the balcony it was not very loud or surrounding so you could really feel the awkward silences. The acts just weren't impressive or high enough energy to get a reaction, and the performers often had to prompt the audience to applaud. I think if the sounds were better distributed the silences wouldn't have been as uncomfortable or noticeable. I hated the transition acts from the elf/clown. We spent 5 minutes clapping as an audience and feeling very confused. I would be interested to know if small children were entertained by this show - because the promos didn't seem to be particularly geared only toward kids but I can only imagine they might be the only ones truly entertained by this show. I am definitely sorry to give this small group of performers who is really trying to make it a less than stellar review, but overall, I left this show feeling confused and empty.

  • Just OK

by G-Man on 12/21/22Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - HuntsvilleRating: 3 out of 5

This was obviously the B-Team. While each of the performers were very talented the show was fraught with mistakes. I didn’t think this level of performance was worth the amount of the tickets. I did enjoy the show but wouldn’t go again

  • Leaves a lot to be desired

by Gil on 12/21/22Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - HuntsvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The show was definitely not spectacular. It's something you'd see at a theme park or carnival. A waste of money.

  • Holiday Cirque

    by B on 12/19/22Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

Short show. Only two hours which includes a 20 minute intermission.

  • Somewhat entertaining

    by Douglas J on 12/19/22Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

It was a decent show. Performers did a good job with their talents. The main character was good in managing stage transitions and keeping the entertainment going. Overall, it seemed the majority was single actorperformances one after another. My teenage girls thought it was, meh.

  • Funny and Entertaining

This show was kid friendly. It was very funny and entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone.
