Holiday Dreams Tickets

The Holiday Dream Cirque show had great entertainers, good story line and great comic relief. One more thing checked off of my bucket list! The show, at Ilani 'Cowlitz Ballroom' was certainly a poor choice for a show of this caliber. The event was basically held in a general conference room. The seating was all on one level floor with the stage a mere 5' or so off the floor. It was impossible to have a good or clear view of the stage if you were sitting anymore than 10 rows back. The big-screens they have on either side of the stage (to provide a better view from the back?) were very poor quality with dismal backlighting, that failed to show much if any of the spectacular lighting effects. This venue might be fine for a small scale music concert, but certainly not suitable for a show this busy and spectacular.

Yet another event in Ilani ballroom that is very difficult to see. The performance was fairly entertaining maybe not as kid friendly as we thought. The narrative was becoming a little over the top. The acts were, for the most part, very intriguing. The seating in the ballroom not super great. You really cannot see much.

The show was fun and entertaining. Talented cirque style performers. Costuming and set were nothing to get too excited about. It was unfortunate that we brought kids and the flat seating made it so they could not see most of the live show and watched it on the screens. If the stage was about 2ft higher they could have seen performers.

This 'Cirque' show was staged in a ballroom with no incline in the seating area, meaning that anyone sitting more than half way back could see very little, even if you're on the tall side, as I am. I can only imagine the disappointment of the parents who brought small children to see the show. There were large video screens to each side of the stage, but due to either camera inability or low def screens, the video was grainy. The director would cut randomly from camera to camera, without apparently considering the value of any particular camera's shot. And honestly, if I'm paying to see a live show, I'd like to see a live show. The 'plot' of the show was quite thin, but that's okay as we were there to see the acrobatic performances anyhow. But since we couldn't see the acrobatic performances, the plot with the ?'snow queen' was thin but tolerable. When the storyline moved toward the man's view, things became cynical and less pleasant, with the 'family friendly' atmosphere being tossed aside for mild vulgarity and curses. Meh. I can't imagine a show that I'd pay to see at Ilani again: maybe a music concert . . . maybe. The free hot chocolate was the star of the show.

The show was great! Full of holiday spirit and good for the whole family. However, because the venue is not auditorium style seating, it was almost impossible to see. We had to rely heavily on the jumbo trons (or TV's) but the camera person failed to zoom in on the act so even the TV's were difficult to follow. Overall we are glad we went and had fun, but the viewing needs to be improved.

Seating was horrible but that’s OK what parts of the show I could see was not worth watching. If I passed by and they were performing on the street I would keep walking.

Show fizzled. When you read/hear Cirque, your mind shifts to spectacular, on the edge of your sea acts that leave you in awe! Nothing of the sorts in the Holiday Dream. Acts were cheesy. I would have fallen asleep if is wasn't for how freak'n LOUD it was! Don't waste your time, money, or hearing.

The show was good. You cannot see it unless you are close though. The auditorium is flat and large. The stage is not elevated much. You simply cannot see if you are not within 20 rows or so. The MC used PG language including “Jesus Christ” which I found a little troubling for a Christmas season show.

Since all the seats are on the same level and ours were 3/4 of the way back, we couldn't really see the stage at all. The two side screens were sometimes blank and didn't really show the same thing as you saw by looking at the stage. I ended up standing in the back for a portion of the show. Add to that a small boy sitting on Mom's lap behind me kicking my chair, and it made for an unpleasant experience.

The announcer was so obnoxious and his jokes were so vulgar and inappropriate for a venue advertised for families!!!! He was SO LOUD and RUDE as he made very inappropriate comments to people sitting in the audience! There were only a couple parts of the show that were worth watching, the rest of the show was not worthy of the usual good entertainment that Ilani has had in the past. The show would have been much more appropriate as a night club act for adults ONLY but would have been a dud even at that!!!!

This was a great show,never a dull moment.I brought my granddaughter and son.We will be back next year for sure.

Venue was not built for this type of show. Show was little slow in starting but once it got started it was real good. As for the venue, Ilani Cowlitz Ballroom stage is very small. Seating are cushioned chairs on a flat service so if you are a short person and a tall person sits in front of you, you can't see the stage. There are 2 huge televisions but the speakers, depending on where you sit, may block your view. May be in the future Ilani may consider to build a stadium type facility for this and all future venues but I won't be going anymore until that happens.

This could’ve been okay at a different venue, but was disappointed with the seating. It was hard to see, and the show was rather boring. Not sure how this is related to Cirque. On a positive note, tickets were super cheap.

The show was ok, had some funny parts. The performance was ok, but nothing you wouldn't see at the skate park or the gymnas6place. The lasers and special effects were good and the music, too. A huge problem with this venue is all the chairs are flat so if you are even just a few rows back and someone taller than you sits ahead, toy can't see. Kids, too were struggling to see. They shouldn't be doing shows when 80% of the crowd can't see. The casino was very ill equipped for something like this with so many people, no signs on the doors with section numbers, just people inside with signs, but what good does that do when you go in the wrong door. Huge lines and crowds and all you could hear was one lady screaming at you to "hurry up", super unprofessional. Probably won't go see another show there till they up their game in that arena.

Couldn't see the stage in the venue at all, Monitors placed but didn't show stage all the time and were tough to see. This venue would be great with some gradual elevation for rear of the house seating.

Holiday Dream was a cute Christmas show with some talented folks doing tricks centered around a holiday theme. My husband and I took our 9 year old granddaughter and all three of us found the show to be entertaining and funny. However, by the time I decided to buy tickets the show was almost sold out so we didn’t have the greatest seats. The sound system was awful. Way way too loud. After the half way mark in the show many folks were leaving because it was too loud.

The show itself was very good. The music was too loud though. My husband and son ended up leaving because it hurt their ears. The venue was not ideal because it was held at a casino and the seating was not elevated since it wasn’t a theater. We had decent seats but could hardly see anything. This type of event needs to be held in a theater so everyone can see and please turn down the volume a little bit.

Super funny. We were expecting more acrobatics but the show was so much better the way they changed it up. Thank you

The interaction with the audience was great. Lovely atmosphere nice beverages friendly staff We had a great time.
