Hershey always puts on a great show. It was a great family memory, it was our family's Christmas present.
Our first visit to the GIANT Center, and our first Hershey Bears hockey game were a terrific experience. It was a relaxed hour and a half drive to the site, but once there, the parkng was very good; the food choices were great; and of course the game was first rate! There were many employees on duty to give info and assistance, and all whom we encountered were very friendly and helpful (5 stars!) The price for the game was good, compared to, say the price (and availability) of Washington CAPs tickets. We certainly plan to attend more Hershey Bears games, but also intend to get there early enough to explore and have a meal in one of the area restaurants/pubs. All in all, the experience exceeded our expectations. There was a good variety of draft/bottled beer and non-alcoholic drinks available, and the food we had was reasonably priced and and tasty .
Action on ice was great. Surprising that is was as quiet in the stands. Crowd was boring.
Tickets were cheap and the game was very intense with a lot of fighting, recommend to anyone to go!
thought the game was very great, but trying 2 find our seats was confusing. and the prices were a little expensive. but over all the game, and watching the little kids play was nice. and the thing that really thought was crazy. was I just payed all this money for the tickets, gas to get there and then a big parking price. I think you should give discounts to the local college students of the area.
I haven't seen a game in years but since the Bears won the cup the last two years straight, I thought it would be a great game. I was highly disappointed. The last period they were terrible-totally ran out of steam-no offense. They lost the game because of it. My kids and I are guessing that they lost some great players from last year - how else could they be so bad? Lake Erie's win-loss wasn't even good. We won't be in any hurry to return.
I live outside of DC but travel to Hershey a few times a year to go to Bears games. In addition to NHL games, I have been to minor league games at many different venues. The Giant Center is one of the nicest facilities I have been to. While it cannot compete with NHL level arenas in terms of size, the facility is first class in terms of food offerings, cleanliness, and friendliness of the employees. It is truly a hockey arena, not an arena where they have a hockey team that plays, if that makes sense. It is a great place to catch a game. The Hershey Bears are one of the more storied professional hockey franchises in the US and the game experience does not disappoint. I would venture to say I enjoy going to games in Hershey more than Caps games at the Verizon Center in DC. The action is more intense, slightly less polished, and there are no Caps bandwagon fans to deal with!!!!!
Great game! Not a bad seat in the building. Would def reccomend it!
I was totally surprised by the poor performance of the Hershey Bears in their game against the Syracuse Crunch. This is definitely not the same team as last year. I know that they had played the night before against the Penguins affiliate, but the bears seemed very listless. Even the large crowd did not seem into the game.
Great venue, great game, great seats. Love the way you can select the exact seats you want from those available.
Their 6-1 trouncing of Binghamton was well timed in their division race. For all the lineup changes and coming off back-to-back Calder Cups, the Hershey Bears continue to impress. They definitely have another playoff quality team. If they can regain a couple key players, they could make a legitimate run at a third cup.
Alot of fun! 1st hockey game ever! My 3 yr old son had so much fun! Only thing that was annoying was the seats are to crammed, was like you were sitting on top of each other
went with ny dad it was his first hockey game at the giant center. We had a great time.
What a fun place to watch a hockey game. The Giant Center at Hershey is a tremendous venue with plenty of refreshment stands, rest rooms, and souvenir places. And the Hershey Bears have a great tradition along with outstanding fan support. I am definitely coming back!!
The Hershey Bears are the AHL at it's best! You will see lots of future NHL stars!
This was a very fun event!! I would definitely go back again!
This was my first Hershey game of the season, but not my first overall. I've been gong here for six seasons now. I really like going to these games and I recommend it for anyone who wants to see decent hockey at a great price. Parking only $7 and beers $5. The Giant Center is a smaller arena so there really isn't a bad seat in the house.
good seats, have to look through netting. if you were down closer to the glass it would be much better. i think they should go back to just having the glass and no net like it used to be!
Excelllent event and venue. Great value. High level of hockey. Class organization and good fans made the event a great time. Staff at arena was very helpful and courteous. Only draw back was traffic getting into the parking area.
fantastic seats, excellent venue, great game! raved about my experience!!!
