It was an awesome game! The Hershey Bears won 4-0!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere that surrounded me at the game. The fans were energetic and fun to be around. They really know how to have a good time at a hockey game.
Haven't been to a bears game since the dedication of the giant center
We purchased these tkts because we were lead to believe that we would receive tkts to dutch wonderland. Well we didn't: and the characters were hiding all night there was one glimse them all night. We never got to see them up personal. They were MIA :(
We took our 9 and 11 year old sons and they truly enjoyed the game! They are not avid hockey fans, but they shook their cow bells and cheered for the team. They especially enjoyed the blimp between periods that dropped money to the crowd (their Dad nearly caught some). The rink was clean, and inviting and the food was tasty.
Good hockey, good in-game entertainment as well as good stuff in between periods. We even got put up on the big screen above center ice! A very enjoyable evening out.
Went to the Bears/Pens game to watch WBS, and they didn't disappoint. Arena was fantastic; clean, good food, great atmosphere. Closest AHL rink to DC so I'll be traveling there many more times in the future!
Great hockey game. The Bears made a great comeback and fell just short of grabbing the win.
The game itself was awesome but between the tickets (including the ridiculous convenience charge), parking, and the outrageously priced food it was WAAAAAYYYYYYYYY overpriced. I can't say that we would have bought the tickets if we knew that it would cost over 80 dollars for 2 people.
Absolutely the best event in and around Central Pennsylvania. The seats were great. The action was awesome. The event staff could not have been any better to deal with. Everyone, from the fans, to the players, to the venders were in the mood for a night of Hockey. Although Hershey did not win, nothing less than total sportsmanship was displayed by all. The only glitch that I could identify was someone in a compact car racing though the entrance gates and into the parking lot at a high rate of speed. More police on the grounds may have been able to address this problem. It did not, however ruin my evening.
Being a penguins fan and at the bears stadium I was curious to see how the fans would take it. But the stadium was great, the atmosphere was great, and we couldnt have asked for anything better.
The Giant Center is a wonderful venue. No better, more comfortable place to watch the game. The food is expensive as one would expect, but the variety and quality is much better than competing venues. A great brand of hockey is played here as well.
Fun night of entertainment. Took my daughter and we had a great night!!
I would like to get to see more Hershey bears hockey. I thought it was outstanding ,and the game was very awesome and had good seats to view the players and the see the entire game. Will go again.
Well what can I say that hasn't been said before? I've been to the Giant Center for a Bears game about 25 times now in the last 5 years and I live in New Jersey, about 2-1/2 hours away. I've never had a bad experience at this arena. This one was a memorable one since the Hershey Bears won the Calder Cup. They've won it 3 times in the last five seasons but this was the first time they won the cup on home ice since 1980. The arena has plenty of parking and is pretty easy to get in and out of. They hold about 11,000 people for hockey games so it's not like trying to get out of a major stadium and fighting with 75,000 trying to get out of there. Tickets are cheap, if you pay face value, and food/beers aren't bad compared to the big leagues. $5 for a molson or labatt blue isn't too bad. Overall, I love this place and I can't wait to go back next year! Go Bears!!!
That was the most awesome hockey game I ever saw. Have been a Bears fan for many years but this was the best.
This was the first championship game I have attended since the Johnstown Jets back in 74-75. Flat out amazing end to a tremendous season by the beloved Hershey Bears!
We were thrilled to get tixs to the game. Our seats were in 200 level but view was GREAT! And what a bonus that Bears won the CUP!! My son can forever say that he was there when...
For the last game for the calder cup this was the most explosive. Hershey shut them out four to zero. The goalie for hershey was making fantastic saves. The bears were passing and shooting like they were a well oiled machine. The most excitement I have seen in a game so far.
