About

Indie songwriter Hazlett was born and raised in Australia but if the past few years are anything to go by, he's very much bloomed in Sweden.

An old friend, one big break-up and playing Oasis' "Wonderwall" in pubs three nights a week  was the unplanned cocktail of moments that saw him throw adulthood to the wayside and venture to the other side of the world. While he was up in Sweden Hazlett's unique brand of "Indie Ballroom Folk" really came to life after spending time with his close friend and now collaborator Freddy Alexander. A lot has changed since then and what started as just writing songs to "figure out some things in his head..." has now become a whole world of music and beautiful detail to move through.

Even though the nerves never quite go away, there's this newfound quiet confidence to the troubadour from the land down under. You may not have met, but sometimes when you're listening to Hazlett he feels like the only friend you've ever had.

  • Tell His Mum He Did His Best

by Masked Monkey on 10/31/25Antone's Nightclub - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Hazlett and Co. looked like a group of friends that decided to get together and jam. The sound came live from the stage was polished and sounded better than the production recordings. The bands synergy was amazing and watching all of the small subtle things the band did to enhance the music was impressive. You could tell the band was having fun and the interaction with the crowd was genuine and not scripted. I will definitely be attending Hazlett shows in the future.

  • Good concert!

by Dxpert on 10/27/25The Fillmore - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Love his voice and songs, a bit disappointed with the sound though, could not understand a single word he said, the instruments and base completely obliterated his voice and the acoustics of the Fillmore aren't great.

  • Beautiful Melodies

by Concert Goer on 10/26/25The Bellwether - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Hazlett delivers every time we go see him. He’s up the ante this time delivering his music in another dimension with additional band members and instruments in tow. Sound and lighting at this venue is really well done too.

  • 100/10

by ASH on 10/2/25Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Hazlett’s talent is absolutely unreal—seeing him live is something you cannot miss. He’s rising fast, and catching him now in smaller, more intimate venues feels like being part of something truly special. One day he’ll be headlining sold-out arenas, and I’ll be there cheering him on—but getting to experience his music up close, in this moment of his journey, is what being a true fan is all about. Love you, Haz! p.s. come back to BOS, ASAP!

  • Incredible

by Caitlin Mary on 9/20/25Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Hazlett was unreal live. One of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. His voice + the way he puts songs together is just beautiful.

  • Good but...

by Dan on 9/11/25Théâtre Beanfield - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

He didn’t give the 15% extra emotional or connection. I think he said that he had a cold.. Hair in the face, no smile, no eye contact. But the potential is there, great creation. The microphone changed a his voice but still good…

  • Genuine

by Britt on 3/24/25The Southern Cafe & Music Hall - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It’s very rare to have an artist not only create music that makes you feel cared for but for the artists themselves to also be caring in real life. Hazlett is one of a kind, from speaking to fans before/after shows to his performance on stage. Hazlett and his music are a gift to us all.

I’ve now seen Hazlett twice and he never disappoints. His vocals are incredible. You can tell he is an empath and exudes kindness to the world. Every song has so much depth and meaning. He has helped me through my hardest time in life and continues. I hope nothing but the best for his continued career in music. I hope everyone gets to see him live at least once! Thank you Hazlett again for another amazing time!
