John R. Miller is a country singer from the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Early in his career, the Shenandoah Valley native fronted the band John R. Miller and the Engine Lights, melding folk, country blues and rock with the Appalachian flair of his homeland. Miller went solo in 2021 with the release of his debut album Depreciated, which arrived on the heels of singles like “Lookin’ Over My Shoulder,” “Faustina” and “Shenandoah Shakedown.” His sophomore full-length, Heat Comes Down, arrived in 2023 and in 2024 the singer will join pal Tyler Childers as an opener on the European leg of the Americana artist’s Mule Pull ‘24 Tour.
